Basic diet

Breakfast

Dinner

  • One bowl of vegetarian soup is eaten every other day.
  • 150-250 vegetables or fruits.
  • 20 gr. nuts
  • 100 g of vegetables stewed in their own juice.
  • one potato, boiled in skin
  • any dish of eggs and cheese,
  • boiled peas or beans (sometimes).

On days when you do not eat soup, dessert is allowed - unsweetened cake or cookies, pudding or compote.

Dinner

The same as for breakfast.

Bircher-Benner was an opponent of any meat food and always promoted vegetarianism, although he admitted that it was not easy for him to give up meat himself.

Days 1 - 4

We eat raw or dried fruits. Dried fruits are soaked in the evening, honey, nuts, rye crackers - 100 g of dry crackers with vegetable oil. Beverages- green tea, coffee from chicory.

You can not eat meat, eggs, sausage, white bread, crackers from white bread, muffins, broths, soups, any sweets and sweets, boiled food.

5th day

The previous menu plus one rye cracker.

6th day

All the same diet + 2 - 3 potatoes, boiled in uniform. Salt is not needed.

7th day

To the previous menu, add two rye crackers and 2.5 cups of fermented baked milk or kefir.

8 and 9 days

All the same diet + 1 soft-boiled egg.

10-14 days

10 grams of butter, 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese with a teaspoon of vegetable oil are added to the diet.

Starting from the 15th day, you can eat 100 grams of meat, but not more than twice a week.

For the rest of the time, follow the menu the same as in the first 4 days. If health permits, then the duration of such a cleansing diet can last 2-3 months.
