"Trichopol" is a more toxic drug than "Tinidazole". Reviews say that this medicine often causes side effects. But at the same time, "Trichopol" does not affect the speed of reaction and concentration. It does not enhance the effect of anticoagulants and does not cause bleeding. "Trichopol" is available not only in the form of tablets, but also in the form of a gel, suspension and vaginal suppositories. The price of funds with metronidazole is 2 times higher than the cost of tablets "Tinidazole".

Tinidazole is a popular and cheap drug. Excellent analogue expensive drugs, which is not inferior in efficiency.

general characteristics

Tinidazole:

  • has antibacterial and antiprotozoal effects;
  • penetrates into Trichomonas and anaerobic microorganisms;
  • destructively affects the DNA of harmful microorganisms.

Effective against many microorganisms and bacteria:

  • lamblia; In addition to Tinidazole, they are used in the treatment of giardiasis.
  • trichomonas;
  • entamoeba;

It has an antiprotozoal effect on them.

After 2-2.5 hours after application, the activity of the drug begins. You can feel a significant improvement in well-being after 2-3 days from the moment of treatment. The drug very quickly begins to act in the body. It also easily penetrates into tissues.

The process of reducing the growth of anaerobic microorganisms can be enhanced by other drugs that have active hydroficated derivatives. Thus, the activity of the drug itself is increased. The combination of drugs should be consulted with the attending physician.

It is completely eliminated from the body within 15 hours after the last application:

  • kidneys - excreted unchanged up to 25% of the drug.

Pharmacology

pharmachologic effect- antibacterial, antiprotozoal.

Due to its high lipophilicity, it easily penetrates into Trichomonas and anaerobic microorganisms, where it is restored by nitroreductase and destroys bacterial DNA. Has antiprotozoal activity against Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia. Has a bactericidal effect against most strains various kinds anaerobic microorganisms - Bacteroides spp.(incl. Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides melaninogenicus), Fusobacterium spp., Peptococcus spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Clostridium spp..

Plasma protein binding - 12%. Easily penetrates into various tissues and body fluids, passes through the BBB, the placental barrier, penetrates into breast milk. The apparent volume of distribution is about 50 liters. Undergoes biotransformation in the liver, mainly with the participation of CYP3A4. The main metabolites are pharmacologically active hydroxylated derivatives (suppress the growth of anaerobic microorganisms and may enhance the action of tinidazole). It is excreted by the kidneys (approximately 20-25% - unchanged) and with feces (approximately 12%). T 1/2 in adults is 10-14 hours. Excreted during dialysis.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal agent with antimicrobial activity.

The drug is active against Lamblia spp., Trichomonas vaginalis and Entamoeba histolytica. Has a bactericidal effect against anaerobic microorganisms such as Fusobacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Eubacterium spp., Bacteroides spp. (including Bacteroides fragilis and Bacteroides melaninogenicus), Peptococcus spp.

The mechanism of action of tinidazole is explained by its ability to inhibit synthesis and damage the structure of bacterial DNA.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, tinidazole is almost completely absorbed. Its bioavailability is almost 100%. Only 12% binds to plasma proteins.

The maximum concentration in the blood after oral intake 2 g of tinidazole is 40–51 μg / ml and is achieved within 2 hours. After 24 hours, the plasma level of the drug is 11–19 μg / ml, after 72 hours - 1 μg / ml.

The volume of distribution of tinidazole is 50 liters. Penetrates through the blood-brain barrier and the placenta. Within 72 hours after ingestion, it is excreted in breast milk.

It is metabolized in the liver, resulting in the formation of pharmacologically active hydroxylated derivatives, which enhance the action of tinidazole and inhibit the growth of anaerobic microorganisms.

The half-life is 12-14 hours. The drug is excreted in the bile - 50%, in the urine - 25% (unchanged) and 12% (as metabolites). exposed suction in the renal tubules.
