Breath. Forms of respiratory disorders that are manifested by shallow breathing. Respiratory failure: symptoms, classification, causes

Hello! We have already discussed the 3 types of breath that are used during the holotropic process:

Today I want to finish with the topic of types of breathing. The last type of breathing is trance breathing. Outwardly, it looks like its almost complete absence. A person practically does not breathe, and this can even frighten an outside observer, as breathing becomes slow and superficial.

Target: This type is the hardest. It's hard to pinpoint a specific goal here. Moreover, it is almost impossible for an untrained person to consciously maintain it. This breath accompanies the trance state. The influx of oxygen, which is observed in this type, is not enough to maintain an ordinary state of consciousness. In most cases, the experiment of trying to consciously breathe slowly and shallowly will result in you getting out of breath and the experiment is over. The physiological goal of this type is to gain energy. The body goes into sleep mode, as it were. physical activity disappears, the body practically does not move, but mental activity, figurative, on the contrary, can grow. The achieved altered state of consciousness begins to unfold. It's like a dream. In this state, you can experience simply amazing experiences.

Technique: This type of breathing occurs during meditation, or after the breathing process. Relaxation and tranquility, which is observed after the passage of the respiratory process, is dictated by this state and this type of breathing. It can be simulated - lie down in a quiet place without extraneous noise, relax as much as possible, and begin to gradually reduce the pace and depth of breathing, thus falling into an altered state of consciousness (trance). The main thing at the same time is GRADUALITY. It is thanks to gradual qualitative changes that you will move from an ordinary state to a trance state and your breathing will change in accordance with this transition. If you try to sharply reduce the speed and depth of breathing, then the body, which has not had time to rebuild, will simply begin to be very indignant, because it will not have enough oxygen to maintain its normal state. And then you just start to choke.

Mechanism: During the respiratory process, the body has accumulated a large number of energy. This energy is looking for manifestations on the one hand, and on the other hand, the body first accelerated, starting many processes, releasing and manifesting energy, but now it freezes and, as it were, falls into sleep mode. On the background total absence physical activity, all the energy is directed to mental manifestations, and then something begins. for what, in fact, breathing happened.

In fact, it is similar to the osho "stop" stage in dynamic meditation. There are also a lot of interesting things going on there.

Duration: An untrained person will not be able to maintain this type of breathing for a long time. You will either fall asleep or return to your normal state, so here you need to focus more on the wisdom of internal processes.

Nuance: Often I see an error when after active phase movements people open their eyes, want to immediately tell something, sit down or stand up. I strongly do not recommend doing this. Yes, you may have already experienced something, but the most interesting processes begin during slow, shallow breathing. I advise you to lie down, listen to yourself and observe.

P.s. dealt with the types of breathing. Tomorrow, probably, we will talk about the answered topic, and then we will discuss something from the theory again.

Physical activity, work, sports… People who are illiterate in physiology come forward everywhere, imposing the idea that physical activity, sports and work deepen breathing. Just the opposite! It is impossible to look at some function so bureaucratically, as a fact divorced from life. After all, the breath and it is necessary for the metabolism to go on! In parallel, these processes exist. And physical labor, sports, load increase metabolism, increase the production of carbon dioxide. It by itself increases in the blood during exercise, and oxygen decreases at the same time. The greater the load, the more carbon dioxide in the blood, the stronger the irritation. respiratory center and deeper breathing, but it is only technically deeper! Breathing didn't get deep but superficial, it decreased in relation to metabolism. useful! With prolonged, intense exercise, the receptors that control breathing adapt to the addition of CO2. If a person regularly works and works, then he actually fulfills our methodology, he reduces breathing with a load.

Therefore, diseases can be cured by regular exercise! Do not train breathing for three hours every day, but work hard “to sweat” for five hours. It will cure asthma, hypertension, angina and other diseases. We try to put severely ill patients on their feet so that they can move independently, and then we transfer them to sports or to physical work. If you don't want to exercise, reduce your breathing by working until you sweat three hours a day! There is an alternative... The rest of the factors that enhance breathing will be leveled, you will be healthy. In terms of physical labor, in terms of load, for each person there is a minimum norm necessary for survival. Lack of exercise is as detrimental and fast as the lack of vitamins, water or food. Three hours a day of good hard work or equally intense exercise- that's the norm for the average person. Our body is made up of 60% of the muscles, these muscles must function, the joints must rotate in full.

And how did you do it before? They immobilized the sick: "Don't walk, don't move, lie down." How are we? Walk first, then run! Exhale, hold your breath, and run. This accumulates carbon dioxide faster, people heal faster. A very powerful factor. Books have now been published: "Running for Life", "Jogging", etc. Yes, jogging interferes with breathing, increases metabolism, increases carbon dioxide. That helps ... You can sit, reduce your breathing, it's more difficult than in motion. You can not touch your breath at all, but just run, and also be cured. The carbon dioxide rises. And you can run, walk, but at the same time breathe deeply, "breathe", reduce carbon dioxide below the norm - you will again get fainting, asthma attacks, angina pectoris, dizziness, etc.

Now, in the age of automation, transport - traffic is minimal. Soon we will press the button: the machine will lift you out of bed, load you into the elevator, bring you to work, home from work. Complete atrophy! Therefore, a heart attack cuts out a part of the heart - it doesn’t need so much, it doesn’t participate in the work ... Restructuring is taking place - an adaptation disease. It should be like this - you have no right to get into the transport until you have walked 2 km! If a person sits and writes, it is necessary to calculate how much energy he should expend per day. And gain this energy in the gym or on a walk.

Further. It has been noticed that an increase in temperature, overheating increases breathing not only in dogs, but also in humans. This is especially evident in children. Here is a child growing up in a loving family. They are killing him with a stupid, harmful regime. The child who resists with all his might will survive, everything does the opposite. If I have time, I will write a work called: "What is a loving mother and how to deal with it." Why? Yes, overheating begins literally from birth. Many parents do breathing exercises for newborns aimed at deepening breathing. A person begins to realize, "breathe deeply" - this is a command and obeys. A child's metabolism is 2-3 times faster. When adults are cool, children, and even fidgets, are comfortable. And they wear five clothes each, and even a hat on top ... Overheating leads to increased breathing, the child catches a cold. Not from an external draft, but from my own hyperventilation, from deep breathing. They begin to wrap him up even more, overfeed him even more, and in the end, they completely destroy him ... It is well known: in a large and poor family, where there are potatoes and bread, one shirt for everyone, they run barefoot in the snow - everyone is healthy. Why? What we consider useful is terribly harmful! Our prejudices wrong, harmful. Deep breathing patients feel good in cool rooms ... There are examples of folk treatment of asthma, when children are immersed for 2-3 minutes in ice water in order to eliminate an attack. This is a terrible stress, a shake-up for the body, but then they stop wrapping up, and ... the asthma is over!

Horizontal position, lying increase breathing. Patients with asthma, hypertension, angina pectoris often have nocturnal attacks. If they lie down during the day, lie down for 2-3 hours - breathing will intensify, attacks will begin. Many seriously ill patients sit - they are afraid to lie down. This is natural. You only need to lie down when you sleep. Our patients in sleep cannot regulate their breathing, and therefore sleep is poison for them. Therefore, we wake him up in an hour or two, he reduces his breathing. Sleep is reduced to 4-5 hours a day, then he is cured. When breathing becomes below normal, sleep is reduced by itself. This worries many: “I used to sleep for 8 hours - I didn’t get enough sleep. Now I sleep 4 hours, and I get enough sleep!” Yes, you can sleep for 4 hours with very little breathing.

Patients should be placed on their stomach. It's squeezing chest, abdominal Press and the walls of the abdomen - reduces breathing. Children, especially asthmatics, roll over on their stomachs. And the parents set the watch, there is a struggle - the child is on his stomach, his head under the pillow - they turn him face up. Do not give him rest! A sick asthmatic lies on his back - breathes with wheezing. Rolled over on his stomach - wheezing stops. We recommend sleeping on your stomach, on a hard bed, so that your back does not sag. For seriously ill patients, we recommend that you sleep while sitting while breathing decreases.

The next factor that enhances breathing is drugs. Antibiotics (penicillin, streptomycin, etc.) increase breathing. After 2-3 weeks of such treatment, the condition inevitably worsens. What is the mechanism? Antibiotics fight germs by inhibiting the respiration of microorganisms. The whole living world has one common basis - metabolism. Therefore, antibiotics inhibit the respiration of cells and our cells. This causes excitation of the respiratory center, a violation of breathing in the direction of its strengthening. Moreover, antibiotics allergize the body. The reckless, widespread use of antibiotics is causing enormous harm. Camphor, codeine, cordiamine, adrenaline, theofedrine, ephedrine - also enhance breathing. People take them recklessly, trying to recover, and cause irreparable harm to themselves.

Negative emotions. This is an overload of the nervous system. Negative emotions cause excitement, increase breathing. Reduces breathing "heavenly life", but where can you find it? Life is a struggle, and a very nervous one at that. Therefore, the factors that are subject to our control and intervention must be taken into account and used. Water procedures, massage reduce breathing. Many poses reduce breathing, in particular: lifting the eyeballs up, puffing out the cheeks, the Turkish or lotus position. Therefore, most yogis have shallow breathing.

What happens to the body if breathing decreases below normal? Here one should not confuse the full breathing of yogis with deep breathing. propagandists deep breathing confuse these two concepts, and in their own justification say: “Yogi have been breathing deeply for thousands of years. They are supermen!” It's the opposite actually. Full yogi breathing is shallow breathing. It is done very slowly, with maximum breath holdings after inhalations and exhalations. If register ventilation of the lungs and the level of carbon dioxide, it is clear that with such training, ventilation of the lungs decreases, and carbon dioxide increases. Therefore, the full breathing of yogis in its physiological parameters is similar to our shallow breathing. That is why so many people are interested in yoga. It's amazing according to its wisdom, according to its set of exercises, the system. I am not talking about any kind of religious delusions - this is not part of the objectives of my lecture, but physiologically yogis instinctively chose almost everything that reduces breathing: most of their postures lead to a decrease in breathing, and she breathing exercises in Indian it is called pranayama. Literally translated, it means "breath holding". Whatever yogis do with their breath, their ultimate goal is to curb it, hold it back, achieve breathlessness or immortality. And those who did not read well, did not understand well, introduced this confusion that allegedly deep breathing is the breathing of yogis.

And finally, don't be confused the following concepts: we talked about the breathing that goes on day and night - about basal breathing, the foundation of life. And in the yoga system, these are separate breathing exercises. Therefore, it is practically unimportant for us how and what you will do “upside down, downside down, through the right, left nostril, right or left side” - we are interested in what you will come to as a result of these exercises: if carbon dioxide increases, breathing will decrease from every day, it will ensure the transition of man to super endurance. As you can see in the table, (see the appendix to the instruction of 1964) here is the zone of the norm of breathing, the norms of carbon dioxide, this is the frequency of breathing, this is an automatic pause, after exhalation it remains in sleep. And this is deep breathing, which most of you probably have without control measuring pauses.

Therefore, with deep breathing, there is less carbon dioxide, less oxygen, less breath holding, more breathing rate and no automatic pause. Here - the breath is less and less, here - more and more. In the first direction are yogis, and here are the most seriously ill patients - suicide bombers. If breathing deepens, then oxygen in the body decreases. Oxygen in the body can be determined in a simple way: you need to exhale and see how many people can not breathe without tension. That is, to do a kind of breath holding.

But it should not be confused with breath-holding in sports, etc. How is it done in sports or medicine when breathing is tested? A person is forced to take a deep breath, exhale completely, sometimes with tension, hold the breath to the limit, after which the breath breaks, deep breathing begins. This delay is bad. due to additional deep breath that upsets the balance in the lungs. And subsequent prolonged deep breathing reduces carbon dioxide in the body, causing harm. Therefore, this type of hold, performed to measure the oxygen supply of the body, is usually less than the breath hold that this person is capable of. And it is necessary: exhalation is complete, but without tension - it is necessary to expel additional air from the lungs so that it does not interfere with the measurement, otherwise a different lung capacity will introduce errors in the measurements. After a complete calm exhalation - holding the breath. This time - from the end of exhalation to the beginning of inhalation - is the maximum pause. It correlates with the supply of oxygen in the body.

When we investigated these things, we had enough equipment (equipment is unique even for the USSR - the best devices world were in our laboratory), we had the opportunity to measure everything, but in practice, patients and doctors do not have equipment. We had to give the task to our physiologists, mathematicians and methodologists to find indicators that make it possible to indirectly assess the level of carbon dioxide, and the most important demonstrative indicator that correlates with carbon dioxide turned out to be the maximum pause (the dependence is quite accurate). This result was obtained during calculations on a computer using mathematical methods and was first applied by us in physiology. This criterion is unambiguous: there cannot be 7 percent carbon dioxide with a pause of only 10–20 seconds. It doesn't happen that way in deep breathers it is less and less - at the same time less oxygen in the body. If it is less than 10 seconds - this is a serious illness, the less - the more difficult the condition: 5, 3, 2, 1 seconds - death ... Watching the maximum pause, you can see how death is approaching, how life is leaving. But you can also get away from this state: less, less and less breath, and after half an hour you have accumulated oxygen, and the maximum pause has grown.

Therefore, our second principle is to measure breathing in the process of its deceleration and, in particular, the maximum pause. If it grows from day to day, then the amplitude of breathing decreases, oxygen accumulates, health improves. And here it is shown. This is a real table obtained on our patients with tens of thousands of measurements of our physiological combine, indicators in healthy and sick people, and in the process of treatment. And we found that as breathing decreases, carbon dioxide grows, oxygen in the body grows, the maximum pause grows, sometimes from 8 seconds. for example, it goes up to 180 sec. - Three minutes! And now a seriously chronic patient with a 40-year history of the disease, a 70-80-year-old old man, who is blue in bed on oxygen and injections, suffocates on a huge breath, but is still conscious. We explain our theory, do a ventilation test, give the command: breathe deeply. He breathed for a minute, even worse ... "Reduce your breathing." Better. The conclusion is to reduce breathing. And he begins to reduce his breathing with all his might, to slow it down, to "suffocate himself." Patients jokingly called our method “draconian”, “ Siberian method gradual self-suffocation. He is very difficult. Why? - There is no oxygen in the body, but it is necessary to reduce breathing. The desire to breathe, but here you can not. He begins to decrease his breathing, the maximum pause grows. He measures it after 5-10-15 minutes (this is prescribed by a doctor) and looks - oxygen has increased, the pause has increased, everything is in order.

The doctor must control the training, he appoints individually the frequency of the pause, it is strictly forbidden to correct breathing without the doctor's supervision. First, because half of the patients deepen their breathing, one third plays with the breath. And if the patient only thinks about breathing, and does not slow it down, breathing will intensify, it will turn out negative effect. Therefore, either do not think about breathing and do not play with breathing, or slow it down as much as there is willpower. That's the principle. Therefore, our method cannot be tried, it must either be applied or not touched. Breathing must be watched by a methodologist who has tested the method on himself. Our instruction from 1964 was published in Novosibirsk in 1000 copies. We were still naive then and thought that after reading this correct instruction, the patient would decrease breathing and then compare it with normal breathing - there is what normal breathing should be - 2 sec. inhale, 3 sec. exhale, 3 sec. pause, etc. Firstly, he begins to breathe deeply, and secondly, he immediately begins to perform this normal breathing. And everything turns out the other way around. Even a doctor.

Therefore, only under the control of the eye that has seen it and knows there will be no mistake. It is a mistake to increase the breath, not to decrease it. IF this error does not exist, then it's okay. It is important to follow the principle. And so, when a seriously ill patient who did not move - after 3-4-5 months, after six months began to make a delay of 150-180-240 seconds. Easily. Exhales and does not breathe easily for 4 minutes. For a long time, all illnesses have passed, he works day and night without getting tired, he sleeps for four hours, eats half as much, the flu does not take him. Everyone in the family gets the flu - he doesn't! And if an infection appears, half an hour of training, and there is no flu! It turns out that the flu virus is afraid acid environment. This old man used to get flu a hundred times a year, but now everyone gets sick, but his flu does not take. He entered the "super-endurance" zone.

As a result, we advise patients to: do all the loads at the maximum pause, walk up the stairs without breathing, try to slow down breathing, not breathing while running ... We were terribly surprised when this old man, who had not even walked around the room before, had terrible shortness of breath, after a few months tirelessly digging potatoes! And his grandson only dug for half a day, because he has a maximum pause of 20 seconds. Grandpa ran home, to the third floor, and no shortness of breath! Why can't he breathe for three minutes? Then we realized that by reducing breathing below the norm, our patients come to the miracles of yogis. They do everything through a decrease in breathing, an increase in carbon dioxide. This explains their miracles. If we tell our patient some secrets, then he will be able to reduce his breathing for 10 minutes, or even 15! And who? The suicide bomber, who was lying, was dying at the age of 60 ...

Yogis have been looking for “prana” for thousands of years, and it turns out to be carbon dioxide! The main source of life ... If you accumulate it, you will become a "superman", if you lose it, you will die! We call on scientists, physicians, philosophers, biologists, physiologists, all people to get involved in this problem. There is no end here. We have only lifted the veil to the world of not fiction, but reality. All of the above hundreds of people have already done in Siberia and Moscow. There are already people who have become super-hardy, and do not see anything surprising in this!

Now about the frequency of breathing. Many people think, and these are thoughts not imposed by physiologists, that if breathing deepens, it becomes less frequent. Nothing like this. The frequency and depth of breathing are two parameters of one function. The function must increase or decrease. Strengthening the function is a deepening and quickening of breathing. The weakening of the function is a decrease in breathing and a decrease in its depth. Those who have learned to breathe deeply also experience frequent breathing. The deeper the breath, the more frequent it is. Our patients, performing even the most elementary exercises, will slow down each breath, reduce the amplitude of inspiration, prevent air from entering, and breathing itself will become less frequent. The first cardinal mistake is that patients rarely begin to breathe: inhale, exhale, then hold their breath, drag this pause longer. Confused maximum pause with automatic and deepen breathing, begin to breathe rarely and deeply. The meaning is lost - he suffers from a disease of deep breathing and deepens his breathing. Therefore, only a decrease in the depth of breathing causes it to slow down. Direct link here.

The respiratory rate is strictly individual, it depends on gender, age, weight and much more. We forbid patients to think about it, otherwise they will get confused. We only need it to measure carbon dioxide. If we measure the patient's respiratory rate, the maximum pause, then we will approximately find out at what level carbon dioxide is in the blood.

And finally, the last indicator is an automatic pause. A pause that occurs even in sleep in normally breathing people, in all animals. How does this happen? Sometimes in a family where there is a patient, you have to show by example. Here lies a dog or a cat. Not hot - she breathes normally. There is no shortness of breath. What is the breath like? On exhalation, the chest fell, pause, then a small breath, exhale, pause again. This is normal breathing: inhale - exhale - pause - stop breathing. It's natural rest easy, the possibility of gas exchange. This is the normal, automatic pause that occurs independently of our consciousness.

Deep breathers don't. They need to scale down. The pause will come by itself when their breathing decreases. And as breathing decreases to normal, and then becomes below normal, this pause lengthens - breathing becomes less and less frequent. The respiratory rate indicator is an automatic pause after exhalation. We divided all deviations from the norm towards deepening of breathing into 5 degrees of hyperventilation. This table is used by hundreds of our doctors and patients, it has never failed. Thousands of patients have been tested according to this table! Sick in the lower part, raised a pause to the middle - cured, lifted higher - became a "superman". Here are the main points that I wanted to present to you ...

Of course, a lot of questions arise. How does smoking work? Nicotine increases respiration, which is why it is harmful. I am often asked: is it possible to accumulate carbon dioxide by smoking or drinking sparkling water? It must be understood that the body of an adult with an average load releases about 600-1000 liters of carbon dioxide per day. It absorbs about the same amount of oxygen. Cubic meter. A little less than the volume of this department. Insignificant proportions of carbon dioxide in sparkling water do not play any role. Or oxygen foam. For a deep breathing stomach, it is good, because there is little oxygen in the tissues of the stomach, the absorption of oxygen directly into the tissue will be beneficial. Oxygen should be given to those who lack it in the blood, they are shown oxygen tents. If you give oxygen to deep breathers, they will get worse. Our article was published on this topic in the journal "Soviet Medicine" (No. 3, 1967). It shows that if given to hypertensive patients, angina pectoris and asthmatics, inhale pure oxygen, then this leads to a deterioration in their condition.

Soul rooms. In them, breathing increases, and in fresh air, breathing decreases. Because in a stuffy room, positive ions are lost, which have a beneficial effect on the respiratory system. Many aromatic substances appear in the air - the air has been “breathed” many times. Breathing such air is like eating food that has been chewed many times. Stale air is harmful, where carbon dioxide rises by a maximum of 3 times. In a pine forest, on the seashore, it is 0.03%, and in a stuffy room 0.1%. What does it matter? None. We need 7% carbon dioxide, and there is 1-2% less oxygen here. It doesn't matter to us either. Our optimum is 5–7 percent. Is it possible to increase carbon dioxide in the body by constant inhalation of carbon dioxide? Such experiments have been carried out for a long time. Experiments have recently been carried out with astronauts. Deep breathing hypertensive patients, angina pectoris, asthmatics have in their body not 6.5% of carbon dioxide in the lungs and blood, but 4–5.5%. 2% carbon dioxide is not enough for them. You can also treat them like this: place them in chambers with 2% carbon dioxide. But as soon as they leave this chamber, their breathing immediately becomes deep, and five minutes later, they faint. Well, do you want to carry the camera all the time or settle in it forever? This is not a way out.

It is possible to reduce breathing with medicines. Reduce its drugs, sleeping pills, sedatives, antitussive drugs (codeine, dianine), many herbs, in particular, Indian hemp. All of them depress breathing. This is how hypertension is treated. All of these substances can be consumed if a person cannot reduce their breathing on their own. You can make masks, bandage your chest, wear graces, etc. There is a myth about flowers and plants, supposedly they absorb carbon dioxide in rooms, release oxygen, practically without changing the balance of gases. But some flowers emit aromatic substances that are harmful to the breath. Waiting for help from breeding indoor plants not serious.

The only thing that remains is to fulfill the principle that we propose. THE PRINCIPLE OF VOLUNTARY REDUCTION OF BREATH. He himself learned to breathe deeply, and unlearn it yourself! How? REVERSE TO WHICH I DEEPENED THE BREATH! Everyone has his own. The doctor will individually “adjust” our technique to the patient. If you find the 1964 Instructions somewhere, it says on page 9: “not valid without the author’s signature.” This Instruction, as you understand, lacks a small appendix - a doctor who would study with us for a month. Then it will definitely work. All this was written only for doctors who have passed our specialization. Why? Our untrained doctor reads and does the opposite. Psychology is different! Psychology needs to change! How? An ideological restructuring of views on breathing, a wide publication of our truth about the dangers of deep breathing. Then it will be properly perceived.

What, then, does our system have in common with the system of yogis? Final result. What about the difference? Our system is scientifically proven, based on measurements, strictly controlled, predictable, etc. She is scientific. We not only promise a cure, but also accurately determine even the period of recovery. Since these illnesses nobody ever regularly were not cured and are not cured now, they are quickly and irrevocably cured only by our doctors, then for the first time in the scientific world we were able to see how self-healing is going. How all medicines are canceled and methods of reducing breathing are included. As soon as breathing comes to normal (40 seconds), a recovery reaction occurs. 20 and 40 sec. These are the lines that separate illness from health. What does this reaction look like? In principle, the same as the path of the disease itself. For example, a child had diathesis, then pneumonia, asthma, eczema, urticaria. He grew up - appeared: angina pectoris, hypertension, stomach ulcer ... As soon as he begins to decrease his breathing, it turns out that the disease goes exactly along this path, but in the opposite direction. There is no other way. All this had to escalate in order to be eliminated forever. This is natural. It is necessary to help the patient to train breathing, to give him confidence that he is on the right track, doing everything right ...

If you are asked the question: how to breathe correctly? - you will almost certainly answer - deeply. And you will be fundamentally wrong, says Konstantin Pavlovich Buteyko.

Deep breathing is the reason a large number diseases and early mortality among people. The healer proved this with the assistance of the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

What is deep breathing? It turns out that the most common breathing is when we can see the movement of the chest or abdomen.

"Can't be! you exclaim. “Are all people on Earth breathing wrong?” As proof, Konstantin Pavlovich proposes to conduct the following experiment: make thirty deep breaths in thirty seconds - and you will feel weakness, sudden drowsiness, slight dizziness.

It turns out that the destructive effect of deep breathing was discovered back in 1871 by the Dutch scientist De Costa, the disease was called "hyperventilation syndrome".

In 1909, the physiologist D. Henderson, conducting experiments on animals, proved that deep breathing is disastrous for all organisms. The cause of death of experimental animals was a deficiency carbon dioxide at which excess oxygen becomes poisonous.

K. P. Buteyko believes that thanks to the development of his methodology, one can defeat 150 of the most common diseases of the nervous system, lungs, blood vessels, gastrointestinal tract, metabolism, which, in his opinion, are directly caused by deep breathing.

“We have established a general law: the deeper the breath, the more sick a person is and the faster death occurs. The shallower the breath, the more healthy, hardy and durable a person is. This is where carbon dioxide matters. She does everything. The more it is in the body, the healthier the person is.

The evidence for this theory is the following facts:

At intrauterine development the child's blood contains 3-4 times less oxygen than after birth;

Cells of the brain, heart, kidneys need an average of 7% carbon dioxide and 2% oxygen, while the air contains 230 times less carbon dioxide and 10 times more oxygen;

When newborn children were placed in an oxygen chamber, they began to go blind;

Experiments carried out on rats have shown that if placed in an oxygen chamber, they go blind from sclerosis of the fiber;

Mice placed in an oxygen chamber die after 10–12 days;

A large number of centenarians in the mountains is explained by a lower percentage of oxygen in the air; thanks to rarefied air, the climate in the mountains is considered curative.

Given the above, K. P. Buteyko believes that deep breathing is especially harmful for newborns, so the traditional tight swaddling of children is the key to their health. Perhaps a sharp decrease in immunity and a sharp increase in the incidence of young children are due to the fact that modern medicine recommends immediately providing the child with maximum freedom of movement, which means ensuring destructive deep breathing.

deep and rapid breathing leads to a decrease in the amount of carbon dioxide in the lungs, and hence in the body, which causes alkalization internal environment. As a result, metabolism is disturbed, which leads to many diseases:

Allergic reactions;

colds;

salt deposits;

The development of tumors;

Nervous diseases (epilepsy, insomnia, migraines, sharp decline mental and physical disability, memory impairment);

Expansion of veins;

Obesity, metabolic disorders;

Violations in the sexual sphere;

Complications during childbirth;

Inflammatory processes;

Viral diseases.

The symptoms of deep breathing according to K. P. Buteyko are “dizziness, weakness, headache, tinnitus, nervous trembling, fainting. This shows that deep breathing is a terrible poison.” In his lectures, the healer demonstrated how attacks of certain diseases can be caused and eliminated through breathing. The main provisions of the theory of K. P. Buteyko are as follows:

1. The human body is protected from deep breathing. The first protective reaction is spasms of smooth muscles (bronchi, blood vessels, intestines, urinary tract), they manifest themselves in asthmatic attacks, hypertension, constipation. Treatment of asthma, for example, results in bronchial dilatation and a decrease in carbon dioxide levels in the blood, leading to shock, collapse, and death. The next protective reaction is the sclerosis of blood vessels and bronchi, that is, the sealing of the walls of blood vessels in order to avoid the loss of carbon dioxide. Cholesterol, covering the membranes of cells, blood vessels, nerves, protects the body from the loss of carbon dioxide during deep breathing. Sputum secreted from mucous membranes is also defensive reaction to the loss of carbon dioxide.

2. The body is able to build proteins from simple elements by attaching its own carbon dioxide and absorbing it. At the same time, a person has an aversion to proteins and natural vegetarianism appears.

3. Spasms and sclerosis of blood vessels and bronchi lead to the fact that less oxygen enters the body. So, with deep breathing, there is oxygen starvation and lack of carbon dioxide.

4. Precisely increased content carbon dioxide in the blood can cure most of the most common diseases. And this can be achieved through proper shallow breathing.

IN ordinary life Is it good to breathe deeply or shallowly? This question was in the comments to pranayama. I think many will be interested in understanding. Information on breathing is very contradictory. There are many different schools of breathing, in the traditions of recognized specialists - Buteyko, Strelnikova and others. Buteyko stated that the cause of many diseases is hyperventilation due to deep breathing. He placed particular emphasis on As a doctor, he should have known that asthma is included in the "golden list" of psychosomatic diseases and is treated by a psychotherapist, other methods and drugs only temporarily alleviate the course of asthma, until the next psychological breakdown, in which an asthma attack begins again.

Buteyko warned that it is extremely dangerous to try to directly control the respiratory movements, that is, the amplitudes and durations of inhalation, exhalation or pause. Those. it is extremely dangerous to practice pranayama, because the described manipulations with breathing are pranayama, which yogis have been practicing for several thousand years. One pranayama cures great amount diseases. You can look for clips with Swami Ramdev – this man, very painful from birth, completely restored himself only by pranayama and has been traveling the world with pranayama demonstrations for many years, opening pranayama centers in many countries.
So, with fans of Buteyko, those who practice yoga (and pranayama, as the 4th step (eight-step yoga) are not on the way!

It is written about Strelnikova’s gymnastics that this is the only gymnastics in the world with a short and sharp inhalation and passive exhalation, i.e. the direct opposite of one of the main pranayamas - kapalbhati (forced exhalation and natural inhalation), or half bhastrika (forced inhalation and exhalation). There are still different "new techniques" of breathing. But all this is the "invention of the bicycle."

Here is what is written in the ancient treatise Hatha Yoga Pradipika: “Life is the interval between two breaths; one who breathes half and lives only half. The one who breathes correctly controls his entire being. It is believed that a person's life is measured in breaths, that each person can take only a certain number of breaths intended for him. If a person breathes slowly, he will live longer, since this number of breaths is given to him for life. If he breathes quickly, then that number of breaths is used up faster, resulting in a shorter lifespan.

Superficially (chest) many breathe in stressful situations, with fear, tension, indignation. Remember some novel "Her breasts heaved with excitement." And as soon as the heroine of the novel calms down and relaxes, she will begin to breathe more slowly and deeply. This principle works and vice versa - without waiting for excitement, and then calming down, we just breathe slowly and deeply. Accordingly, we are calm.

An ordinary person rarely thinks - how does he breathe? How can it breathe. Often with the nose. In glamor magazines, almost all the beauties with their mouths open. Sexy to say the least. Or nasal polyps? In general, according to the rules, breathing through your mouth is the same as eating through your nose. Watch babies. They breathe through their belly (diaphragm). With age, this breathing in almost everyone who does not specifically follow this and does not train, switches to superficial (breathing from the chest). This is how most of us breathe, especially women. In ordinary life, when inhaling, we inflate the chest and draw in the stomach, while exhaling, we drop the chest and protrude the stomach. Natural, correct breathing (the one that we breathed in childhood) should happen the other way around: when inhaling, we inflate the stomach, and when we exhale, we blow it off. In normal breathing, inhalation is active and exhalation passive.

This is what unconscious breathing is about. normal person in ordinary life. In yoga, breathing is conscious. Every minute they are aware that they breathe into themselves vitality and control air flow. Exactly what Buteyko warned against - flow control, duration, delays. According to yoga, breathing correctly is breathing deeply. Even having begun to imagine the process of breathing, we begin to breathe deeper than we did before. It happens on a subconscious level.

Yoga offers many types breathing techniques. One of the important ones is slow, deep conscious breathing, what is called diaphragmatic breathing, abdominal breathing, breathing from the abdomen, or simply deep breathing. Description simple techniques Pranayama is easy to find and master on your own. Pranayama would be more difficult to perform well under the guidance of an instructor.

In the meantime, breathe deeply and slowly with your diaphragm. During the day, with worries, you are likely to forget and switch to chest breathing. But even brief returns to slow breathing will still be helpful. In order to calculate whether you are breathing from your chest or belly, take two small books, lie on the floor, put one book on your chest, the second on your stomach. Ask someone to watch you. The book on the chest should remain motionless.

And once again I repeat what was written above: “If a person breathes slowly, he will live longer, since this number of breaths is allotted to him for life. If he breathes fast, that number of breaths is used up faster, resulting in a shorter lifespan.”

    Lina, which of the systems do you adhere to yourself - Buteyko with unconscious breathing or yogic with conscious breathing? I tend to believe that even doing yoga is worth breathing naturally, but won't yoga then turn into simple gymnastics? Are you familiar with the Holotropic Breathwork system? I would like to hear your opinion about it.

  2. Lina:
    -

    Anastasia,
    I kind of already spoke about my attitude to the Buteyko method in a post:

    “Buteyko warned that it is extremely dangerous to try to directly control the respiratory movements, that is, the amplitudes and durations of inhalation, exhalation or pause. Those. it is extremely dangerous to practice pranayama, because the described manipulations with breathing are pranayama, which yogis have been practicing for several thousand years.
    I do hatha yoga and pranayama, not Buteyko gymnastics.

    “I tend to believe that even when doing yoga, it’s worth breathing naturally”
    - you either follow the prescriptions of pranayama, or you think. Then it will not be pranayama, which we are discussing. And if we talk about doing hatha yoga asanas, then yes, breathing should be natural (unless something else is indicated).

    There is no personal practice of holotropic breathing, since I am not very succumbing to the remake. Just today I was answering a similar question about breathing in Pilates:

    “I was introduced to Pilates many years ago when I was looking for ways to improve my well-being. The first thing I figured out was "it's based on yoga." After that, I closed this page and went to the roots, to yoga. I have already prepared next post for the Ayurvedic blog “You need to use the sources”, But, since you can’t make money and fame on the sources, they compose whoever is in what much, calling them by their names. In Pilates, explicit hatha yoga asanas are called by their names, and a lot of things have been changed.

    As they say on the Internet: "Pilates is very, very fashionable today." This is embarrassing. Classic - it always stands higher, in any manifestations. That's when Pilates has been successfully existing for several hundred years and its usefulness has been proven, then we can talk about something. In the meantime, it is "very, very fashionable."

    Again - from the Internet: “Every single day in the world of fitness, some new program is born, which is declared a panacea for all figure flaws. Then it turns out that most of these techniques are extremely stupid and useless.

    - All of the above can be attributed to holotropic breathing. Adepts themselves say that in their deepest essence all these breathing practices work in the same way - by increasing the flow of energy through the human body and expanding his consciousness. When practicing holotropic breathing, pranayamas are often practiced as preparatory techniques, to prepare the body, mind and consciousness of a person for more intense effects.

    Conducting sessions of holotropic breathing write that pranayama and holotropic therapy are quite different, while complementing and enhancing each other's action very well.

    The main condition for holding a holo session is the silence of the mind, i.e. yoga. “Yoga is the establishment of agitation of the mind” (Yoga Sutra of Patanjali). Those. we return to the origins.

    A simple person who comes to a session is unlikely to be able to quickly stop a running mind. This requires, if not years, then months of training. The mind of the majority, according to Vivekananda, is like a monkey that has been drugged with wine, hit on the head with a stick, and in addition, it has been stung by a scorpion (Vvekananda's free retelling).

    AnastasiaAum,
    I don’t have the opportunity and interest to understand the intricacies of the difference between pranayama and holotropic breathing, I think, if you wish, you will find everything you are interested in on the Internet.

    The only thing I want to say is that those with whom I communicated after holotropic breathing - “results”, as they said, were for all exalted natures. The more mundane pragmatists were all neutral. How to explain this, I don't know. Experiment with everything that surrounds - there will not be enough time :)

    Hello Lina,
    I apologize for being off topic. But I saw your “fresh” comments and decided that you would look at this page. The fact is that I am unsuccessfully trying to register with you for a Consultation and receive a “Full Package”, but I have not received any response from you for two requests. Perhaps something is not working? Or be patient? I really want to change to an Ayurvedic lifestyle. This is mine. Help! In any case, thanks for a smart site and a wonderful style of presentation. I have been living in Germany for 14 years and enjoy it if it is a juicy Russian language :)
    Anna

    Anna,
    There are no problems with Code, I constantly receive requests for consultation, after your letter yesterday there were several requests. Most likely, there is a snag in your German keyboard, which is not right there for a millimeter - and it does not work.
    Anna,
    on occasions of consultations it is better to correspond not in the comments general issues and answers, but according to the e-mail from which you received a breath into the office

    Regarding payment, you can choose the appropriate option in your personal Account.

    It also emphasizes duration, depth, and methods.

    Ramacharaka is good, and the Bihar school is a classic! :)

    Lina, hello.
    Tell me, please, how often can I practice the technique of deep diaphragmatic breathing with an emphasis on exhalation? I mean daily practice is allowed?

    Do I understand correctly that diaphragmatic breathing is correct? If yes, then I wonder if I should try to fix the habit of breathing like this constantly, in everyday life?
    Thank you in advance.

  8. Lina:
    -

    fashion,
    It's hard to say, it all depends on the state, your need for such a practice, the existing problems. Daily practice is very normal, from 2-3 minutes, up to several hours for advanced ones.

    “It is precisely diaphragmatic breathing that is correct”
    - Yes. And in life it is useful to breathe in this way.

    I don’t put anything on the site about pranayama. This is the 4th step of advanced techniques, which you can’t tell beginners much about (and there are most beginners on my site).

    If you are already an advanced person, then look for Pranayama of the Bihar School of Yoga (this is a classic). And find the videos of the famous popularizer of pranayamna, Swami Ramdev.

    Hello! I'm just trying to figure out how to breathe properly in general. After deep breathing, my heart aches, my head is spinning, I have a headache and pressure in my temples. And how can I breathe? Thank you.

  11. Lina:
    -

    Love,
    So I didn't find anything new to answer you. All that can be said is said in the article and comments: “In ordinary life, a person breathes the way he breathes, not noticing this process.”

    And why do you breathe deeply so that the symptoms you describe appear?

  12. Alex:
    -

    Lina, good afternoon!
    Thanks for the interesting article.
    Forgive me for a superficial glance, but how the principle of rare breathing is combined with sports loads, in which breathing, as a rule, sharply quickens. That is, it turns out, logically, for training, we “breathe” more than a flabby fat man for a whole day lying on the couch. It turns out that by training we shorten our lives?

  13. Lina:
    -

    Alex,
    Paradoxically, people "with sports loads" do not live longer than "flabby fat." You probably know the vulgar saying “While the fat one dries, the thin one dies” (sorry :))

    In yoga, it is believed that the length of life is determined not by the number of years, but by the number of breaths.
    Flabby fat men breathe less frequently. Another thing is that they, however, like everyone else, can die for many reasons.

    Although all esotericists unequivocally declare that the number of days of a person is predetermined, no one can increase or decrease it. All sorts of “healthy lifestyles” and physical activity can only improve the quality of life, and depart to the Other World in good physical and mental condition, which is very important (read the “Tibetan Book of the Dead”, “Egyptian Book of the Dead”, works by Rinpoche). Good physical form at death guarantees strong physical health in the next reincarnation. There we'll pick up where we left off here. Those who do not understand this wonder why disabled children are born. Because.

  14. Alex:
    -

    Lina, I will definitely look at the materials you recommended. More about breathing: I can’t put the right picture together in my head .. Most sources say that a pause after a full exhalation is an emphasis on parosympathetic, that is, relaxation. At the same time, relaxation pranayamas very often recommend 4-7-8 with a micropause after exhalation ... Where is the logic ?? I would like to know your opinion.

  15. Alex:
    -

    On the previous question - fat people just dvshat often and very deeply even in calm state. And about sports, I just thought that with breathing, like with a heartbeat, with intensive work it beats the athlete, but in a calm state 35-45 strokes. This is against 90-120 strokes of a fat man in his sleep.
    .
    I assumed that in this case, the lyhante is similarly compensated by the decrease in frequency in the calm state of the athlete.

    “already had a frozen pregnancy”
    - the reason for this could not necessarily be the factors you listed, although I indicated one connection - the uterus-nasopharynx above.

    And about different propaganda. When starting to follow something, it is better to first make sure that this is not another notion of a lone enthusiast (like with the book we are discussing). It is the same with other advice - universal drinking of water, universal hardening, etc. - Ayurveda is not universal, and what is good for one may have a bad effect on another. So when choosing anything (not just Ayurvedic) it is very useful to use the technique “

    “Poisons and bacteria absorbed lymphatic system, captured and concentrated in lymph nodes, including in the tonsils, after which they are removed from the body.”
    Are the tonsils cleared of bacteria too?

    while I'm sitting, structuring information, saving up for a full set of consultations))

    at the expense of pregnancy, but it’s clear that there might not have been a special reason, the chromosomes didn’t work out that way and that’s all. Well, mentally, I was not ready to become a mother, now I am ready)) from this pregnancy my race for doctors started. according to the analyzes is healthy or deviations within the normal range. such is psychosomatics.

    I'm sorry I bombarded you with questions. I would like to know about bulimia from the point of view of Ayurveda, if there is information

  18. Lina:
    -

    Are the tonsils cleared of bacteria too?
    – They are not cleared of bacteria, they are part of the cleansing (lymphatic) system.

    Allergies are often treated, and it has been proven that animal hair allergens remain in the house after 10 years of absence of animals. So, if you have to think - what is more important - health or love for animals? And paraitas are exactly the same - everyone sits and is touched by “What cats are clean - they lick themselves and the kitten!”. Yeah, and then, with what they licked, they climb into the owner’s face and mess around in the master’s bed with unlicked places. And what garbage dumps do these village cats climb? I love cats and dogs (but only in other people's houses, I played, washed my hands, and went to my sterile house):)

    But this is not an argument for animal lovers, they will call me a pet hater. And I have, as in that joke “Givi, do you like tomatoes?” - “I love to eat, but I don’t” (sorry, for the word “eat”), but you can’t throw away words from a joke :)

    “I would like to know about bulimia from the point of view of Ayurveda, if there is information”
    - Ayurveda has no point of view on this. This is pure psychosomatics. This is better dealt with by a psychotherapist or the person himself. There is enough material on the net to figure out what exactly drives a particular person.

  19. Anna R:
    -

    I understand about bulimia. she herself suffered until she went to a psychologist in the summer, psychosomatics decreased by half and bulimia disappeared ... but it can appear a couple of days before menstruation. These days I'm going emotionally out of my mind. Let's see if I can find my salvation in Ayurveda.

    I always believed in official medicine, but last year I spent so much money on doctors, tests, diagnoses, and in general I am healthy ... nothing specific. only suggest to remove the tonsils))

    Good afternoon, Lina!
    What do you think of the deep relaxation technique? In your opinion, can it be used as a meditation in company with diaphragmatic breathing. For some reason, it is difficult to concentrate on breathing during meditation, can it be replaced by concentration on body sensations during relaxation?

  21. Lina:
    -

    Any relaxation technique is good if it works for you.

    You are asking 2 questions:

    1. "Is it possible to use the technique of deep relaxation in the company of diaphragmatic breathing as a meditation."

    2. "Is it possible to replace the concentration on the breath during meditation with the concentration on the sensations of the body during relaxation."

    So what are you asking anyway? I will answer as best I can:

    - it is unlikely that you will succeed in deep relaxation with diaphragmatic breathing. Usually, with deep relaxation, attention is not paid to breathing, it is arbitrary, usually almost inaudible, you don’t need to breathe with any diaphragm. As you breathe, you can breathe, maybe with a diaphragm, but you don’t need to think about it.

    On the 2nd question “Is it possible to replace concentration on breathing during meditation with concentration on body sensations during relaxation”
    It's not really meditation, it's relaxation.

    But usually, doing meditation, they try to calm their mind. Yoga Nidra works great. As long as you follow all the sensations in the body, not a single superfluous thought will slip through, and at this time the brain calms down, resting from its incessant “thresher”.

    So - how it works, do it, there are a lot of all kinds of techniques. For example, for the last 5 years I have been doing wellness tai chi, which is called moving meditation. Well, it's very meditative. At the end of the 2nd hour you will wake up "Where have I been?".

    Yes, even simple swimming in the pool - quick passes back and forth along the fast track - is also a meditation relaxation technique. The brain is very relaxed.

    Walking at a fast pace (precisely fast, and not intertwining legs with conversations) - very quickly introduces you into a trance.

    In general, “Yoga is the calming of the unrest of the mind” (Patanjali), and it can be calmed in different ways. I sat down in a chair - and calmed down :)

    So use whatever works.

    Good afternoon, Lina!
    Not contradicting your opinion, but rather discussing and supplementing interesting information on your site, I want to “protect” Strelnikova’s gymnastics a little.

    I have been singing professionally for over 15 years. Of course, more than once, especially due to inexperience, I encountered a loss of voice. The best phoniatrist of the country (specialist in the vocal cords), the legendary Zoya Andreevna Izgarysheva, being the leading specialist of the clinic Bolshoi Theater, who treated both the opera singers of the Bolshoi and other theaters, and the Kirkorovs and other pop artists, she always said this:

    “For all vocalists and people of speech professions (announcers, commentators, presenters, teachers, lecturers, etc.), Strelnikov’s gymnastics is vital!”

    The same opinion is shared by all serious vocal teachers, both Russian (Zhanna Rozhdestvenskaya, for example) and Western (all Italian opera and other schools).

    Why does Strelnikovskaya gymnastics need a vocalist:

    1) The vocalist sings and breathes with his stomach! And at the physiological level, she develops the skill of a quick, sharp, deep diaphragmatic (belly) breath. In order to subsequently exhale this large volume of air with a slow (controlled) exhalation, forming the sound of your instrument. And it is on the correct long and even exhalation, based on the diaphragm (belly), that the vocalist is based on the entire singing process: length of notes, purity of tone, evenness of timbre, depth, volume, pressure, etc.

    2) the exercises of Strelnikov's gymnastics amazingly quickly and effectively treat and restore not only a shrunken voice (which is professional tool, the artist should always be healthy, according to the viewer, and not wheeze and nasalize with a stuffy nose at a concert :), but also his voice is partially or completely lost!

    These sharp breaths, coupled with special gymnastics(squeezing the sternum with the hands - compression of the lungs on inspiration; rotation of the head up and down, right and left on inspiration - physical warming up of the vocal cords in the larynx; squats with one nostril closed and the other arm extended forward, tilting with squeezing the diaphragm, etc.) - all this pointwise stimulates active blood flow in the entire singing apparatus, saturates with oxygen, warms up the muscles (including vocal cords and aperture).

    That is, how it prepares the vocalist for the competent use and distribution of the load on all singing muscles (like warming up the athlete before the main load), and restores, through the “memory of the correct natural functioning”, when the apparatus fails. And we “make him remember” with Strelnikov’s gymnastics, how it should be, or how it was when he was healthy.

    And of course, you need to understand that this gymnastics is based on yoga (forced inhalation), and only modified for the specific tasks of vocalists (Strelnikova originally developed it for herself, for a vocalist who lost her voice and despaired of being cured by doctors of that time).
    And of course, one must understand that the opera schools of the world existed long before Strelnikova, and exercises there for many centuries are based on the same principles of breathing: deep strong breath belly, slow/quick exhalation depending on the vocal task (long or short, drawn out or jerky note)

    I am writing here briefly and superficially, because I am not on the forum about vocal techniques and voice restoration, but I hope I conveyed the essence: this breathing gymnastics is not a “not worthy of attention remake”, but really working professional gymnastics for vocalists and people of voice professions: )

    P.s. And don't forget about Ayurveda! For quick recovery voices (without special vocal exercises, which vocalists own), fennel tincture will help all other people:

    5-6 art. tablespoons fennel seeds
    200 ml water
    3 tbsp honey

    We cook the seeds in a water bath for 15-20 minutes, filter, as it cools down, add honey.
    It turns out a potion like "Pectusin" from childhood :)

    Drink 1-2 tbsp. spoons every 30 minutes while we are awake.

    Marina,
    Thank you for the excellent explanations and recipe with a hoarse voice.

    I have had excessive sweating for 10 years. I read that breathing through the left nostril cools the body. Will this breathing help solve my problem?

  25. Lina:
    -

    Anna,
    First of all, the cause of sweating must be clarified. Hyperhidrosis can be observed in some endocrine diseases, in violation of hormonal background, various infections, fungal invasion.

    Unpleasant sweat may be an indication of

    Local hyperhidrosis may depend on the increased excitability of the nervous system. The human nervous system reacts to emotions with increased heart rate, increased pressure, and muscle tone. And in such situations they react and sweat glands who start to sweat. Such conditions are not considered medical conditions.

    Excessive Sweating According to Ayurveda:

    Need constant rinsing of sweat - acceptance cool baths, soul. Use different tips traditional medicine- add to the bath, wipe, rinse with different solutions, such as a weak solution of vinegar, soda (they successfully destroy bad smell in the kitchen, refrigerator and on the body too). cook different solutions sage type, oak bark. All these traditional medicine tips are in abundance on the Internet.

    There are no special Ayurvedic remedies to reduce sweat..

    So the conclusion about excessive sweating is this: it comes from an increased excitability of the nervous system and may be a manifestation of your (innate constitution) and the problems listed at the beginning. Such a fact of fate!

    What to do? Needs to be put in order nervous system and in the balance of the tridosha.

    Cooling (including breathing through the left nostril) also helps to reduce pitta (in a set of measures). It is even recommended to plug the right nostril with cotton wool for several hours or even days and walk like that, showering only the left nostril.

    At excessive sweating antiprespirants and deodorants help little and only for a short time.

    By the way, good remedy- before applying the latter, lubricate the application sites with 3% hydrogen peroxide (sold in pharmacies and in liquid form and tablets that need to be dissolved), let dry and only then use deodorants. The duration of the action is greatly increased. The use of peroxide alone also gives good results.

    Body odor depends on the age of the person. Every day we are not getting younger, and with age, the smell of old age, mustiness appears in almost everyone. A change in body odor signals about internal changes. Physicians have long used unpleasant odor as one of the primary diagnostic features illness.

    - With a fungal invasion (accumulation of fungi in the body), the body begins to smell of these fungi (mold).

    - Sometimes excessive sweating indicates a problem with the pancreas (especially with concomitant allergies).

    - Metabolic disorders and problems with - a clear smell of rotting fish, algae or rotten eggs comes from the skin.

    - Kidney failure and urinary tract infections - sweat begins to smell like cat urine. This feature pyelonephritis and nephritis.

    - Oncology of the genitourinary organs - the body exudes the stench of rotten meat.

    - Problems with peristalsis and digestion - bad smell wet wool.

    - Oncological tumors without differentiation of malignancy - an unpleasant acetone trail begins to emanate from the skin.

    - Acetone smells like the skin of people with extensive liver damage.

    Tuberculosis and diabetes smell like vinegar.

    - The smell of vinegar in women occurs with breast cancer or mastopathy.

    - Sweat of people with pathologies of the urinary system, as well as with urinary incontinence, smells of ammonia.

    - Turpentine is felt with problems of digestion of food, especially foods with great content fats.

    - Milk whey (an unpleasant sour smell, sometimes with an admixture of mold smell) smells like the body of a person with gout.

    - In rheumatism (especially in the acute stage), there is a shade in the body odor formic acid(very sharp).

    - At diabetes there may be a pronounced smell of fresh hay (one of the modifications of the vinegar shade).

    - A sugary musky aroma is characteristic of acute peritonitis.

    Skin rashes, caused by excessive sweating, can even give off a floral aroma.

    - With scabies, a shade of mold appears in sweat.

    - The smell of raw liver occurs when hepatic coma, failure of the liver to work.

    - The smell of burnt meat occurs when infectious inflammation lungs.

    - The smell of fresh fish happens with bacterial damage to the intestines
    ————–

    Those are the smells of sweat!
    I hope that you just have a high smell, which most often happens. If there is no obvious manifestation of pitta, then think about these problems - you never know what.
