Dear potential patients, alas, I have not seen such a dissonance between beautiful interiors and the attitude of a doctor for a long time. I had a consultation with an implantologist. For the first time I encountered the need for this particular service (but by the way, I had to use the services of dentists a lot since childhood, I am not new to this topic), but the doctor did not try to tell in detail about the treatment, I had to guess and ask question after question in order to pieces to get an idea of ​​the treatment. In addition to the actual prosthetics in place of a barely holding tooth, my situation is complicated by the fact that orthodontic treatment is also needed and I collected information in what sequence to act - an orthodontist or an implantologist. The doctor did not carefully study the pictures I brought, did not examine me until I showed persistent initiative and finally asked to look at my teeth, I did not come for abstract information, I need to know if it is possible to insert an implant in my case. Moreover, the consultation is paid (I am generally skeptical about the free one). The doctor’s interest in my problems was falling (and the doctor did not consider it necessary to hide emotions, and this unpleasantly gained signs as the dialogue developed) as he understood that I would have to undergo orthodontic treatment before implantation and that right now I had nothing to sell, except for the consultation itself, although the conversation I started with the need for a CT scan, and in the process called the extraction of a tooth with almost no root - difficult removal:):) As a result, he gave me! (this will be important later, read on) an information printout with prices for each stage of prosthetics, saying what it is general information and that everything will be individually clear later after alignment of the dentition. But after the consultation, already at the reception, the same doctor told the manager to calculate for me both the consultation and the treatment plan! ("the client got it in his hands" - he said in a whisper so as not to attract my attention much).. after my question "what kind of plan? printout of prices? did we outline something specific for me?", he quickly corrected himself in front of the manager - "no, no, don't, don't count the plan") .. I'm not offended and not indignant, you just understand, such attempts by a seemingly reputable clinic to heat up a client for trifles cause a smile in best case. my expectations - I thought to say everything and come to the clinic after orthodontic treatment(if such a sequence of treatment is confirmed here), I had no distrust of the center before contacting it, but in the end I got a picture of an over-praised clinic in which an indifferent doctor who failed to show professional attentiveness tries to impose hasty / untimely studies at the beginning of communication ( CT in my case) and then sell the unproven service at the end (treatment plan in my case) .. I would be ashamed in their place .. and somehow ugly in front of Giovanni, who gained a reputation for the center ... I don’t impose that the clinic is not very good, maybe I'm just not very lucky. everyone decides. Yes, the price is 2-3 times higher than other decent clinics, but when you are sure that you are in good hands, then it’s kind of okay, everyone has their own wallet, but in this case there are doubts, how not to pay exorbitant prices, and in the end, there is no guarantee that it will be cured.

Be careful with Dr. Garo! He is an excellent specialist, at the age of 13 he began to work with my bite. But at 16, when I had to shoot everything, he began to pester and blackmail me - if I did not agree to meet him, then he would not make me retainers and all the years of torment down the drain. I called the reception to consult which doctor is better to contact with my desire, I was told that all doctors are universals and you can trust anyone .. from dentists , 2 Russian doctors and one American work for them .. in general, I decided to make an appointment with Dmitry Rumyantsev and didn’t regret my choice for a minute! I want to express my deep gratitude to this wonderful person and doctor! I won’t say that I had a neglected situation, but nevertheless, there were errors from an aesthetic point of view that did not suit me .. the doctor explained everything in detail, answered all my questions with understanding, offered several treatment plans to choose from, in general approach to the patient on top! But after the reception, I realized that I was in the hands of a true professional. I made the decision every minute and did not regret it. The removal was quick and painless. This is what the vocation of a doctor, multiplied by many years of experience, means. He has golden hands!

I did not want to write a review based only on my suspicions about poor quality treatment which I immediately arose, but now, in connection with the emergence of new data, I will write, since I am forced to retreat the tooth that Dr. Melkonyan worked on. The tooth was depulped, the canals were sealed - as a result, in less than a year, the treatment must be repeated, since the canals were sealed poorly. Since then, I had to depulp two more teeth, in Russia in the USA, and now I know what high-quality canal treatment looks like (I'm talking about what the patient can track in the chair): first a series of tests is performed, then a picture is taken, in the process treatment, the tooth is isolated, the depth of the canals is checked using several pictures and a special device, magnifying devices are used. The doctor did nothing of this - according to external signs and my complaints, he diagnosed (pulpitis), during the treatment he took 1 picture with instruments in the canals of the tooth. After the treatment, the tooth was very sore for several days, it was impossible to eat. To my complaints, the doctor said that it was normal. However, with high-quality canal filling, as I now know, pain much less pronounced and prolonged, they are practically absent. In addition, after depulpation of a tooth, especially a chewing one, a regular filling is not always shown - in many cases, an inlay or crown is needed. Dr. Melkonyan put a filling without informing me about the alternatives. This clinic positions itself as American dentistry, however, Dr. Melkonyan is absolutely not familiar with the main qualities that distinguish American doctors - they evaluate and explain to the patient in great detail every step, every action, and in case of doubt they offer to consult another specialist. Dr. Melkonyan was completely confident in himself and his professional actions and did not consider it necessary to explain anything to the patient. As a result, there was medical error, about the possibility of which and its consequences I was not warned. In the US, such a situation is excluded, and if it arose, it would end with a lawsuit by the patient against the clinic. I do not recommend this doctor and the clinic as a whole, as its exclusivity is nothing more than a sign. I did not want to leave a negative review based solely on my intuitions, but after I faced the need to re-treat the tooth treated by Dr Melkonyan I decided it is warranted. I had a root canal and a restoration done by Dr Melkonyan less than a year ago, and now it has to be re-treated because filling of the canal was done inadequately. Since then I had two more root canals done, one in Russia and one in the US, and now I know how professional root canal treatment looks like (from the point of view of a patient in the chair). They test it first using a variety of methods, than take X-rays; during treatment the tooth is isolated with a special rubber, adequacy of canal filling is tested with a special beeping machine, several X-rays are taken in the process, and the microscope is used. What Dr Melkonyan did was: diagnosing it with pulpitis without any tests, and taking a single X-ray with his instruments in the canals. After the treatment I experienced severe pain and literally couldn't eat anything solid for the next few days. Dr. Melkonyan said it was all right. Meanwhile, as I am now well aware, if root canal is filled properly, the pain is much less intensive and developed – nothing comparable to what I had after Dr Melkonyan’s treatment. After a root canal treatment is performed, especially on a molar, the adequate restoration may be not a filling, but rather a crown. Dr. Melkonyan simply did a filling without informing me about alternatives. This clinic positions itself as an American dental clinic, but Dr. Melkonyan is totally not familiar with the best features of US dentists – they diligently evaluate each step to be taken, take their patients step by step through all the process, and consult with specialist (like root canal specialist) when in doubt. Dr. Melkonyan was not in doubt for a second; he was very self-confident and didn't feel required to explain what he was doing to me. As the result, I faced a treatment failure I didn’t know could happen, since I was not advised about either the possibility of a mistake or its potential consequences. In a US dental center a situation like this is unimaginable, and should something similar happen the clinic would end up being sued for malpractice. I do not recommend this doctor and the clinic in general, because the exclusivity of it, that may be appealing for someone looking for a US-style dentist in Moscow, is just for show.

To be honest, I don’t know a single doctor from this clinic, but I don’t know them, not because I’ve never been to an appointment, but because the matter didn’t progress beyond the consultation, I’ll just say - it’s super expensive! I don't understand why these prices? For the doctor to fly to you in a private jet? I can compare it with cardiology, where we are frequent guests, because my dad had stents installed. We paid the doctor about 25 thousand rubles, and in Moscow, if you thought that this was the price in some kind of zadrypansk. And this is not a seal to put, but a matter of life and death.
