The vari-watt board differs from the vari-volt board in that it has a pre-built algorithm for adjusting the voltage depending on the load resistance (atomizer).

Figuratively speaking, the board measures the resistance at its output and, depending on it, supplies one or another VOLTAGE to the output. Well, let's say if you screwed on a 1.8 ohm atomizer, then the board will supply 3.5 volts to it. And if you turn on a 2.8 ohm atomizer, the board will automatically (without manual adjustment !!) apply 4.5 volts to it. That is, everything changes automatically and there is no need to manually set the voltage. Very comfortably.
Great, you say. But why does a variatta have a regulator (or buttons), if it changes the voltage automatically? What is changing them? And their tension changes. It is more correct to say, not voltage, but the conversion factor for the dependence of voltage on resistance. The algorithm is set in advance by the board manufacturer, but with the help of the regulator, we can change it within a small range.
Well, for example, as it was written above, you set 1.8 ohms and the board gave you 3.5 volts to it. But that's not enough for you. I want more steam, faster evaporation, etc. That's what the regulator is for. We turned the wheel a little, changed the conversion factor and the voltage at the output changed and became 3.8 volts. If the wheel is not touched, then the next time the same resistance is connected, the same 3.8 volts will be supplied to it!
That is, in principle, having set the position of the regulator once, you no longer need to change anything on the variatte. Optimal voltages for different atomizers will be automatically applied.

P.S.- For example, we can give an analogy with a car. In a car, both manual and automatic transmissions perform the same function - they change the shaft speed (and, accordingly, the torque) at the box output. Only in the manual this is done by a lever, and in the machine, of course, automatically.

So the boards and varivolta and variatta perform, by analogy, the same function - they change the VOLTAGE at the output of the board. Only in varivolta this is done with buttons, and in varivolta this happens automatically.

Therefore, it would be more correct to call them Manual Varivolt and Automatic Varivolt. But it just so happened that in order to distinguish these boards, they were called Varivolt and Variwatt.
