If the use of slings is an innovative method, then anterior colporrhaphy is rather a relic of the past. It will take a long time to recover from such a traumatic intervention.

The consequence will certainly be scarring of the tissues, which will further complicate the correction of the results of the operation. And a correction will be needed, since the effect does not last long - after 3 years, only 25 percent of the women who underwent the operation are still satisfied with their well-being. Such an intervention will be justified if the sling method cannot be used (pregnancy is planned) or is ineffective.
