The best mirrorless cameras. My rating of tested cameras with interchangeable lenses

The hot summer season of 2016 is about to come, and we at the magazine site decided to explore the domestic market for SLR and mirrorless cameras to find the best deals this spring. The selection was based on the price fluctuation charts of the Yandex.Market system, the relevance of the model itself, and the number of offers on the market. This article is the first of two. It will focus on mirrorless system cameras. Cameras that have not lost their relevance, but have greatly increased or fallen in price. In the second article we will talk about DSLRs.

Frankly speaking, the situation on the market this year is not the most comforting - prices are growing along with the thermometer. Moreover, the positive dynamics has been maintained since August last year, so you should not put off until tomorrow what you can (and want) to buy today. Even a slight rebound in the exchange rate of world currencies had almost no effect on prices.

Sony

Among mirrorless cameras from Sony, the leader in terms of number of cameras in this segment and market share, the biggest increase in prices can be noted for full-frame models of the Sony Alpha A7 family. So the Sony Alpha A7 body has risen in price by almost 20% in six months, and the Sony Alpha A7 Kit version has grown in price by 12% (now the monthly growth continues at the level of 4-5 thousand). Sony Alpha ILCE-7M2 Kit and Sony Alpha ILCE-7M2 body have become more expensive by the same 10-12%. What to do is payback for relatively flat prices in 2015.

ILCE-7 SETTINGS: ISO 640, F8, 1/60s, 40.0mm equiv.

For popular Sony models with an APS-C matrix (Sony Alpha ILCE-6000 Body, Sony Alpha ILCE-6000 Kit, Sony Alpha A5000 Body, Sony Alpha ILCE-5100 Body), the average prices remained at the same level. But don't be fooled. Our research of offers on Yandex.Market showed that Sony mirrorless cameras are in good demand. Consequently, prices for almost all models are stable, demonstrating a slight increase from month to month.

ILCE-6000 / E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS SETTINGS: ISO 100, F6.3, 1/500s, 72.0mm equiv.

Falling prices for any particular model could not be identified. If any were observed, then only as a rollback after a sharp increase in prices (after the New Year holidays, for example). The Sony Alpha A3500 Kit and Sony Alpha A5000 Kit remained the cameras for which there was practically no increase in prices. And this is not surprising: they are the “entrance” to the Alpha system, successful budget models that all beginners should pay attention to.

ILCE-7M2 / FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS SETTINGS: ISO 800, F4, 1/30s, 99.0mm equiv.

Canon

Prices for Canon mirrorless cameras (Canon EOS M series) fell about 10% in March (Canon EOS M10 Kit, Canon EOS M Kit, Canon EOS M2 Kit models). A stable increase in prices from 5 to 10% was observed all the time, however, at the time of publication of the article (April 2016), their prices returned to the level of August 2015. In the entire line, the Canon EOS M3 Kit stands out from the rest. The price of this model remains unchanged, and after the New Year's increase, it again dropped to the values of the previous year. It's time to buy a Canon mirrorless!

Nikon

It's relatively calm in Nikon's mirrorless harbor. A kind of anti-records is set by the Nikon 1 AW1 Kit model, adding 10% in price every month. At one time, she was greatly underestimated and, it seems, on the eve of the holiday season, she decided to catch up. Still, because this is the only “floating” mirrorless camera in the world!

NIKON 1 J5 / 1 NIKKOR VR 6.7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 SETTINGS: ISO 800, F3.5, 1/80s, 18.0mm equiv.

A significantly smaller, but still positive growth was demonstrated by the Nikon 1 V3 Kit, having risen in price by an average of 4 thousand rubles in six months. The Nikon 1 J5 Kit suddenly dropped in price a little, although before that it had grown following the Nikon 1 V3 Kit. The Nikon 1 S2 Kit, a newcomer to the market, has been hiding for now, and its price remains at the same level. Apparently something is waiting. He, like the rest of Nikon models, is better to follow the example of Nikon 1 V3 Body. This model demonstrates a small but stable price decrease every month. Definitely worth checking out!

fujifilm

X-T10 / XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS SETTINGS: ISO 200, F4, 1/200s, 83.0mm equiv.

Olympus

There is a lot to see in the large Olympus family. The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Kit is literally in a fever. He decided not only to win back a strong fall of more than 10%, but also to rise in price by all 15%. Not the best time to buy a flagship.

The Olympus Pen E-P5 Kit fluctuates at a noticeably smaller amplitude, and this model even managed to lose several thousand in price, although it has not yet fallen to the level of last year.

The smallest growth shows Olympus Pen E-PL7 Body. Since December, it has added 5%, but now the growth has practically stopped. In the stable green minus zone is the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Kit. For four months in a row, he lost a thousand rubles and is currently being sold cheaper than August 2015. Here is the model to look at first!

E-M5 SETTINGS: ISO 200, F6.3, 1/1250 s

After the New Year holidays and a series of spring holidays, Olympus Pen E-PL6 Body is getting cheaper by as much as 13%. Who did not buy a gift in time, now is not too late!

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Kit and Olympus OM-D E-M10 Body have lost some weight. For 3,000 - 4,000 rubles on average. In the midst of spring, it's time to make yourself a gift in the face of this model!

Panasonic

Delicious deals on Panasonic mirrorless cameras can be found in the face of Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF7 Kit, Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 Kit models. Price tags on them continue to decline and for half a year have dropped by 10% of the original cost. For the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7 Body camera, the price remained at the same level, but its version with a lens, as it grew up to 52,000 rubles for the new year, is still trading at the same level. Against their background, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 Kit beats strongly. He either loses 18,000 rubles or adds, but in recent months he has shown an increase in price of 5,000 rubles, and the average price for it at the time of writing is almost 100,000 rubles. However, this is exactly how much it cost in November 2015. Those who have laid eyes on this model are advised to “wait the moment”.

Summing up, we can say that the market for mirrorless cameras is calm relative to today's economic realities. Those price increases that we observed in this half of the year can be attributed rather to ordinary phenomena. However, we need to move away from the paradigm when, after the release of a novelty, we expected a gradual decrease in its cost. It is better not to put off buying a camera today and in the foreseeable future, but to act on the principle of "here and now".

Family celebrations, the smile of a loved one, the first steps of a child... Picturesque nature, monuments of history and architecture, a squirrel in the park, collecting a treat from his hand... In the life of every person there are many events, unforgettable moments that you want to stop, remember, capture and admire later in time , after years. Look at the image and indulge in pleasant memories of the past. The market offers us a huge variety of photo and video equipment, but it is important not to make a mistake with the choice. Modern technologies allow us to preserve the beauty of the surrounding world.

We have compiled a list of the best mirrorless cameras based on expert reviews and reviews from real buyers. Our recommendations will help you make the best choice for your requirements and desires. There are many competitors on the global equipment market, but we have selected the best manufacturers and recommend paying special attention to them:

  1. Panasonic
  2. Nikon
  3. fujifilm

04:58pm - My rating of tested cameras with interchangeable lenses

To begin with, I would like to say that this is a personal my findings based on my experience shooting with these cameras. Why I got involved in this and how I evaluated different cameras for myself can be read here:. Based on these criteria, I made a small rating of cameras, in which I arranged the tested cameras in descending order of their attractiveness. for me. I've included brief comments for each item so people can understand why I've put each system in that position. Well, so that everyone can make their own rating, according to their preferences.

Since everything doesn’t fit in a single post anymore (the limit on the number of characters interferes), and it’s strange to compare cameras of different categories with each other (yes, the arguments are in that order), I decided to make several different rating posts. it the first. And it is dedicated to the class of equipment with interchangeable lenses (I will not divide equipment here by the size of the matrix or by specularity / mirrorlessness).

So.

1. FUJIFILM X-E2

+ good automation

+ built-in WiFi module

Relatively high price of the camera and lenses
- inconvenient work with the built-in WiFi module

Here is a repetition of everything that was written in the review FUJIFILM X-E1. Plus, at X-E2 a sensor with phase detection sensors installed on it, a new fast processor that raised system performance to a new level and allowed increasing the bit depth of RAW files to 14-bit, a more detailed screen and fixed ergonomic flaws that were inherent in early X-series cameras. In general, it turned out to be a great device for every day!

2. Olympus OM-D E-M5

In general, it was very difficult to decide on leadership, and the point here is not about engagement, as many, for sure, will think. However, I don't give a damn what anyone thinks. =:) In many ways, this camera shares its place with X-E2 thanks to the following qualities:

+ the development of the micro4 / 3 system and the presence of a large number of lenses
+ high speed of the system as a whole
+ convenient swivel touch screen and electronic viewfinder
+ very good stabilizer performance
+ dust and moisture protection
+ cute design

Inconvenient menu and control of additional functions
- small and not very convenient control buttons
- easily chipped silver paint on the camera body

Perhaps, Olympus OM-D E-M5- this is a clear success of Olympus! The camera turned out so good, in my opinion, that competitors will obviously have to catch up with it for a long time. Especially when you consider that there are already many excellent and relatively inexpensive lenses for this camera.

3. FUJIFILM X-M1

Pros and cons:

+ high image quality
+ beautiful colors and high-quality film simulation, beautiful b/w
+ excellent image quality at high ISO
+ good automation
+ additional control of automatic operating modes
+ wonderful lenses, the line of which is replenished
+ the ability to purchase adapters for any 35mm standard lenses
+ swivel screen
+ built-in WiFi module
+ attractive appearance and high quality workmanship

- ridiculous control of the WiFi module

Conclusions on this camera are rather contradictory. It's a pity, of course, that the screen rotates only about one axis, but the very fact of its rotation is a great blessing. It's a pity, of course, that the electronic viewfinder was cut off, but the price of the camera turned out to be relatively low (compared to other X-series models equipped with the same sensor). It’s a pity, of course, that the whale lens turned out to be so ordinary, but there is always the opportunity to use other excellent FUJINON lenses with this camera, and through adapters you can put almost any 135-format optics. It’s a pity, of course, that in terms of speed the system remained at the same satisfactory level, but now fans have an excellent sensor and a bunch of automatic modes at their disposal. And so on and so forth.

In general, I believe that in the face X-M1 FUJIFILM has managed to make a wonderful entry-level camera in the X-series line. With a beautiful design, high build quality and, most importantly, with an excellent result. Although, of course, it is a pity that X-M1 did not appear a year or two ago. =:)

4. FUJIFILM X-E1

Well-deserved first place, because:

+ beautiful colors and high-quality film simulation, beautiful b/w
+ excellent image quality at high ISO
+ good work of automation, allowing you to safely shoot in JPEG
+ wonderful lenses, the line of which is replenished
+ the ability to purchase adapters for any 35mm standard lenses
+ attractive appearance and high quality workmanship

The electronic viewfinder is only good for quiet scenes
- relatively low speed of the system as a whole
- inconvenient focus area control system and minor flaws in ergonomics

In principle, one could repeat here and say the same thing that was written in the review FUJIFILM X-Pro1, about high quality in an affordable size and at an affordable price. With the only difference that X-E1 even smaller and cheaper. Therefore, I will not repeat myself, I will only say that while this camera is my main one - it can shoot everything that I shot before with full-frame cameras with comparable quality (or even better, if we talk about colors, for example), but the space in my backpack is a system takes less than an example.

5. FUJIFILM X-Pro1

This place is conditional, because X-Pro1 completely coincides technically with X-E1, only in the pros there is a combined optical-electronic viewfinder and a better screen. Well, seniority in the line. And this leads to a noticeable rise in price ... Pros and cons:

+ high image quality comparable to the best 35mm DSLRs
+ beautiful colors and high-quality film simulation, beautiful b/w
+ excellent image quality at high ISO
+ good work of automation, allowing even in JPEG to get excellent quality
+ wonderful lenses, the line of which is growing
+ the ability to purchase adapters for any 35mm standard lenses
+ hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder
+ attractive appearance and high quality workmanship

The low speed of the system as a whole
- inconvenient focus area control system
- high price

According to the picture, detail, color reproduction and work at high ISO X-Pro1 everything is at least not bad, so the issue of compactness is already beginning to become significant. For example, in my photo backpack, which fits a "reflex camera" plus three lenses and a charger, you can't put anything bulky anymore. But in the same backpack you can safely put X-Pro1 with three similar lenses plus a charger and there is still half the free space! This means that on short trips you can no longer travel with two bags, but with one photo backpack. For me, this is a huge plus of the system. X-Pro1. And not at all in what is often expressed at various photo forums in a drawn-out groan "tyu-yu-yu, the camera is big, you can't put it in your pocket! .."

That is, we can say that today FUJIFILM has managed to make a very serious system that is in no way inferior in its capabilities to bulky "DSLRs", and in some ways even surpasses them by a head. That's why, X-Pro1 I can safely recommend both as the only camera for enthusiastic amateurs, and as another camera for professionals experienced in photography.

6. Sony Alpha NEX-7

Sony Alpha NEX-7, today the flagship of the NEX line, embodying the technical innovations of the company:

+ great camera setup
+ attractive appearance
+ very good built-in electronic viewfinder
+ quality swivel screen
+ convenient control

+ almost complete hot shoe and accessories

Blind buttons, control by touch is difficult
- ergonomic miscalculations

- autofocus errors when using a phase focus adapter
- overcharge

In general, to summarize, Sony Alpha NEX-7 all so contradictory: "That's good, but..." or "That's not much, though..." Almost every plus is balanced by a minus and vice versa. The camera is a contradiction, just some. However, very often it is precisely this character that gives rise to a "pole attitude", when one group of people almost categorically declares: "It's a great system and it doesn't get any better!", while the other asserts in the same way without alternative: "No, the system, alas, failed!". All love or dislike Sony Alpha NEX-7, everything will depend only on your preferences.

7. Sony Alpha NEX-5

In principle, I wrote a review on the previous model, Sony Alpha NEX-5, but with the new version, not much has changed, except that they corrected autofocus, significantly updated the matrix and added a touchscreen. Putting all the pros and cons together, this is what happens:

+ one of the most compact models of any APS-C mirrorless camera

+ the ability to work with a phase focusing adapter that supports A-mount lenses
+ the ability to use third-party optics by installing it through adapters
+ high quality swivel screen with touchscreen
+ attractive appearance
+ adequate price

- confusing and not very convenient menu
- a peculiar balance of the camera, not everyone is comfortable holding it

I can safely recommend this camera to everyone, except for those who would like to shoot it in the studio as well. Sony turned out to be a very successful system, it would have to be brought to mind a little more ... But here it is necessary that the marketers of this company finally stop being afraid that the NEX system will gobble up the younger line of "SLR" cameras. Let him eat, there they are dear.

8. Sony Alpha NEX-C3

In general, all the same all the pros and cons that the previous paragraph had:

+ one of the most compact models among all mirrorless cameras
+ high image quality, even with "whale" lenses
+ good image quality at high ISO
+ the ability to work with a phase focusing adapter that supports A-mount lenses
+ the ability to use third-party optics by installing it through adapters
+ high quality swivel screen
+ attractive appearance
+ adequate price

Lack of hot shoe and normal flash with swivel head
- confusing and not very convenient menu
- a peculiar balance of the camera, not everyone is comfortable holding it

The recommendations are the same as under the previous paragraph.

9. Nikon 1 J1

I spoke in detail about the cameras of this system in the review. In my opinion, these cameras are now undeservedly spread rot on the Web. You just need to understand that not everyone needs circles in bokeh; for many, high speed and accuracy of automation are more relevant. Pros and cons of this camera:

+ the highest speed of work

+ great automation

+ one of the smallest mirrorless cameras

Boring, loose picture

- no hot shoe and the ability to use a flash with a swivel head

Nikon 1 J1 I can safely recommend to those who lead an active lifestyle, who take pictures of something fast, and who at the same time do not have the opportunity / desire to bother with the settings and selection of shooting modes. Very good point-n-shoot camera! Well, plus J1 I can recommend it to "Nikonists" - I think that with optics from Nikon "adult" cameras, the picture can flourish. Good machine.

10. Pentax K-01

Pentax K-01- a very peculiar, let's say, mirrorless camera. A certain Marc Newson worked on its design, which we are reminded of not only by the unusual appearance of the camera, but also by a plate with the designer's autograph. I had never heard anything about Mark Newson himself before or since. I can't add the expression "to my shame", which is traditional in such situations, because I am not at all ashamed in this particular case. The design of this camera did not hook me at all, to put it mildly. Perhaps in something, but only in extravagance Pentax K-01 and you won't refuse. Well, you can see all the pros and cons here:

+ high image quality
+ good performance at high ISO
+ the ability to use a wide range of Pentax K-mount optics
+ customizable controls and clear menu
+ powerful built-in flash
+ unusual appearance

Unusual appearance
- miscalculations in ergonomics
- large size and weight
- continuous shooting in RAW is limited to 1 fps

Conclusions - this is perhaps the most difficult part of the review of this camera. I guess that Pentax K-01- this is so far the only camera that can be purchased not by the totality of characteristics, but solely because you like it and want to buy it.

In general, it is difficult for me to give any meaningful and logically justified assessment of this camera. I only admit that this was the purpose of releasing such a camera - to confuse us and give everyone a chance to think again, what do we value in cameras? What do we like? What do we love and what do we hate? And is it true that there is only one step between these two states?

11. Olympus E-PM1

It may seem surprising that in my opinion this camera is not as good as the previous one in this rating. But there are reasons for this. You can see all the pros and cons here:

+ compact dimensions of the camera, one of the smallest in the review
+ the presence of good fast "fixes" in the line of lenses
+ the ability to use other optics of the micro 4/3 system
+ virtually silent operation

Autofocus errors

Usually I don’t say anything about noise and consider it just a feature of the cameras. But here is a slightly different case: the noise, nevertheless, is quite noticeable. However, this is not so important. Olympus E-PM1 I would recommend for purchase to those who need a compact, quiet camera of the micro 4/3 system. Moreover, I would recommend it for purchase complete with Olympus and Panasonic high-aperture "fixes".

12. Nikon 1 V1

About the second family camera Nikon 1 we can say the same thing as about the compact J1, but there are also differences. I put together the pros and cons:

+ highest operating speed
+ excellent combined autofocus
+ great automation
+ the highest shooting speed - up to 60 full-size frames per second
+ the ability to use Nikon optics through an adapter
+ the presence of an electronic viewfinder will allow you to comfortably shoot in bright sunlight
+ additional shoe for accessories, including - for your own flash with a swivel head

boring picture
- modest dynamic range of the matrix
- immodest dimensions and weight
- high price in Russia

It was the high price and large dimensions / weight that moved this camera, which is not bad in general, to 8th place in the individual standings. You can recommend it to those who are suitable J1 but who wants extra perks.

13. Samsung NX200

Alas, as is often the case in movies, the sequel turns out to be no better than the first part. NX200, it seems, also fits into this rule ... It remains only to hope for a speedy cure for childhood diseases. For now:

+ convenient control
+ compact dimensions
+ good performance at high ISO

Low operating speed
- unreasonably huge size of RAW files
- faded colors, automation errors

This camera can be recommended to those who have / had a previous system from Samsung. And for those who are ready to put up with a low speed and do not worry about the lack of disk space on their computer. And also for those who want to work with a good line of lenses and are ready to wait for a possible correction of childhood diseases in the new firmware of the system...

14. Samsung NX100

Perhaps one of the most balanced systems today. Its pros and cons are quite moderate, but they are in good harmony, it seems to me:

+ good autofocus performance
+ convenient control
+ nice picture

Formally, they don’t exist ... well, unless the system is somewhat outdated in terms of its parameters and capabilities

We can safely recommend this camera to those who want a good hassle-free camera with additional equipment, but do not want to overpay.

15. Panasonic Lumix GF2

The gap with the previous paragraph is small. I would say they are on the same level. The pros and cons are:

+ good autofocus performance

Poor image quality at high ISO
- inconvenient muddy touchscreen display

You can take this camera for the sake of optics, but there are a few points above Olympus E-PM1, which is better in all respects Panasonic Lumix GF, in my opinion. Hence, only this position in my personal rating of cameras.

16. Olympus E-P3

The camera turned out to be quite good, but there are a number of nuances due to which it is only in this place. The most important pros and cons are:

+ the ability to use a good set of optics from Panasonic and Olympus

Frequent misses in autofocus
- fairly large size
- it is not clear why there is a touchscreen, illogical control
- annoying noise even at fairly low ISO

In my opinion, there are few pluses ... Other things being equal, I would recommend taking Olympus E-PM1.

17. Panasonic Lumix GF1

Oddly enough, but despite his age, Lumix GF1 looks pretty good. Its pros and cons are, in my opinion:

+ one of the most convenient and understandable controls among similar cameras
+ good autofocus performance
+ the ability to use a good set of optics from Panasonic and Olympus

Poor picture quality at high ISOs (800 and above)
- the camera is already pretty outdated in terms of its capabilities and characteristics

Oh, it's a pity that cameras with such convenient controls are almost no longer made ...

18. Olympus E-PL1

The camera is not new for a long time, I tested it for a long time. Here are my pros and cons then:

+ decent autofocus performance
+ good ergonomics and quality materials
+ good automation
+ the ability to use a good set of optics from Panasonic and Olympus

Sluggish colors in RAW, poisonous in JPEG
- high noise level
- insufficient dynamic range of the matrix

That is, everything was spoiled by the old matrix. Here is what I wrote about Olympus E-PL1: "In theory, if Olympus put a new generation matrix into this device, it would turn out to be a hit that could be safely recommended as a replacement for entry-level DSLRs! So far, this is not the case and the Olympus E-PL1 remains an amateur machine, in my opinion. With such a matrix, she can't beat the NEX." In general, nothing much has changed in this regard, as you can see.

Everything changes, everything is impermanent, and everything is known in comparison. Therefore, the cameras can change places.

A camera is a technique, the cost of which can vary from a few thousand to a couple of million rubles (for example, a medium format Hasselblad H4D-60 costs 40 thousand dollars). Therefore, in order to make our rating interesting to a wide range of readers, and not only to those who have an unlimited budget, we decided to make price / quality ratio the main selection criterion.

In this article, you will not see another debate about which camera is better - Canon or Nikon, SLR or mirrorless, cropped or full-frame, but you will get a selection of cameras tested by thousands of users, the purchase of each of which will be successful. And now let's move on to the rating of cameras in terms of image quality in 2017.

SLR Cameras

For reference: a full-frame camera has a matrix of 36 * 24 mm, cropped - 23.6 * 15.8.

FF is able to produce better images at high ISOs and gives you more control over depth of field, while crop benefits from a more affordable price.

Full frame cameras

A full-frame camera with a 36x24mm sensor used to be a luxury that only professional photographers could afford. Now fullframe can often be seen in the hands of amateurs, they are bought not only for commerce, but also for the soul. If you want to buy a FF and know exactly why you need it, we recommend that you pay attention to the following models.

Canon 5D Mark 4

5D-M4 is a professional camera that replaced the popular 5D-M3. The most discussed novelty of 2016 did not disappoint: Kenon 5D-M4 got a new 30.4 MP sensor, an improved focusing system, a set of various wireless sensors (Wi-Fi + NFC, GPS) and the ability to record video in 4K resolution.

In all other respects, this is still the same reliable workhorse for professionals, which has undergone minor improvements on all fronts. The 5D Mark 4 can be recommended to most commercial photographers and is suitable for all genres, from portraiture and commercials to reportage and videography. Price - from 190 thousand rubles.

Nikon D750

Nikon D750 is an excellent all-round full frame with moderate resolution (24.3 MP), high burst speed (up to 6.5 fps) and very tenacious autofocus. Among the advantages of the D750, we note a swivel screen, trouble-free operation at high ISOs (the complete absence of noise up to 6400), the presence of two slots for memory cards, a Wi-Fi module and good autonomy.

Disadvantages - limited to 1/4000 minimum shutter speed, slow focusing in LiveView mode and a small information display. But, nevertheless, it is a well-balanced camera, which can be considered an excellent choice for anyone who wants to get acquainted with the full frame. Price - from 110 thousand rubles.

Sony A99

The A99 is a camera that is unique in that it uses a translucent mirror, thanks to which the engineers were able to realize autofocus in video mode, which, in addition to the presence of a built-in stabilizer, makes the A99 one of the best full-frame video DSLRs.

In terms of photos, the A99 does not graze the rear, the camera produces excellent image quality, with pleasant color reproduction, excellent detail and dynamic range, but at the same time it is inferior to its counterparts from Canon and Nikon in terms of autonomy and efficiency of tracking autofocus. Price - from 125 thousand rubles.

Canon 6D Mark

Canon 6D is the most affordable full frame on the market, which can rightly be considered "popular". The 6D is made in a magnesium alloy case, its dimensions are smaller than those of professional DSLRs, but there are no complaints about the device in terms of ergonomics. As well as in terms of the quality of working out high ISOs - at the level of older brothers.

But it was not without drawbacks: so that the 6D did not compete with the 5D line, they cut down the focusing system (only 11 points of which 1 was cruciform), left 1 slot for a flash drive and limited the buffer size (7 RAW frames) and burst speed (4.5 f/s). Despite all the disadvantages, there are no analogues of 6D among full frames, since in its face a full frame can be obtained for only 70-80 thousand rubles.

cropped cameras

Despite the attractiveness of the full frame, it is most rational to start acquaintance with photography with cropped cameras. And for this, the following models are best suited.

Nikon D3300

Nikon D3300 is a great amateur camera that has stood the test of time. The Nikon D3300 series has everything that a novice photographer may need: the device copes well with noise at ISO range up to 3200, has a decent dynamic range that gives full possibilities for post-processing photos, and tenacious 11-point autofocus (there is also a rangefinder for manual focus).

We write down the lack of an automatic HDR mode and a Wi-Fi module as disadvantages, which does not allow you to control the descent from your smartphone and synchronize the device with a PC for file transfer. But given all the above advantages and the price of 30 thousand rubles, the disadvantages are not critical. If you are looking for an inexpensive and good SLR camera, you can safely take the D3300.

Canon 750D

750D is one of Canon's flagship models in the amateur segment. The camera has a 24 MP matrix with 19 focus points (all cross-shaped), a swivel touch screen and a Wi-Fi module. The 750D can be praised for its high-quality noise reduction, thanks to which the pictures have acceptable detail up to ISO 6400, and excellent rates of fire - 5 fps, a buffer for 8 shots, which allows you to use the camera for reporting purposes.

The disadvantages are the flimsy plastic case and the inability to record Full HD video at frame rates above 30 FPS. Price - from 40 thousand rubles.

Nikon D500

The D500 is a professional-level cropped camera designed for reportage photography. The D500 inherits many of the features of the top-end D5, including shooting at up to 10 fps and an advanced 153-point focusing system that allows you to capture high-quality shots of any dynamic scene.

Among the advantages of the D500 is a quiet sensor with a really working ISO 6400, lightning-fast operation, a swivel touch screen, a large and bright viewfinder, as well as advanced control and customization options. Price - from 130 thousand rubles.

Canon 7D Mark 2

The 7D Mark ll is a great choice for commercial photography. The camera, made in a protected housing, has a professional autofocus system (65 cross points) and a viewfinder with 100% frame coverage. Among the main advantages are a high level of working ISO (up to 3200), flawlessly working exposure metering and natural color reproduction.

Mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses

If you are buying a camera “for the soul”, then it makes sense to choose mirrorless cameras, which are much more convenient due to their compact dimensions, but at the same time they are practically not inferior to DSLRs in terms of photo quality, and in terms of video recording capabilities, they completely break far ahead.

Sony A7 II

The Sony A7 II is a professional-grade full-frame mirrorless camera that claims to be the best UPC on the market. The camera is equipped with a 24 MP sensor, a hybrid autofocus system (117 phase and 25 contrast sensors) and a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system.

A7-II without any problems allows you to get a "cine" picture when recording video, which is recorded in 4K, 2K and Full HD (24-50 FPS), and does not give up when taking photos - the matrix feels good at ISO up to 6400. Price - from 230 thousand rubles.

Panasonic G7

If you want to make great videos, but are not ready to pay 230 thousand for the Sony A7-ll, then the Panasonic G7 is your choice. This is the most affordable UPC with the ability to record video in 4K (24/25/30 FPS), which boasts a tenacious and fast autofocus of 49 points, a folding screen and a Wi-Fi module.

However, for the high quality of the video (and it is really excellent here), you have to sacrifice photo opportunities. Pictures taken on the G7 often lack detail, and the matrix is already noisy at ISO 1600. But all this is covered by the price, which is only 50-60 thousand rubles.

Fujifilm X-T2

The X-T2 is Fujifilm's flagship mirrorless camera and can be considered one of the most technologically advanced hybrid cameras on the market. X-T2 is strong both in terms of photos (great detail and color reproduction) and video (4K): it is equipped with a 325-point autofocus system that confidently copes with any shooting scenarios, and can shoot at up to 15 frames per second .

Among the advantages of the X-T2 are a beautiful design and housing with protection against dust and moisture, long autonomy from a single charge, decent picture quality at high ISO ranges. There are no shortcomings, as such, we note only small controls that will be difficult for owners of large hands to cope with. Price - from 110 thousand rubles.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 II

In the budget segment of the UPC, the king of the ball is the E-M10ll, which bypasses competitors in terms of functionality and balance of characteristics. The device is made in a metal case with retro styling, the matrix resolution is 16 MP, the pictures are very warm and bright, pleasant in color reproduction both in RAW and in JPEG, without any post-processing. Working ISO up to 3200.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We have included the E-M10ll as a one-stop choice for any beginner amateur photographer and people who are not willing to pay fabulous money for a camera. This is a beautiful camera with excellent image quality, which you can buy for only 35-40 thousand rubles.

compact cameras

The segment of compact cameras is extremely diverse, you can find everything in it, from banal “soap dishes” for several thousand, to premium full-frame cameras that cost more than professional SLR full frames. It is this camera that begins our rating.

Sony Cyber-shot RX1R II

The price of Sony RX1R II is crazy 290 thousand rubles. The camera is able to surprise with a matrix with a resolution of 42 MP, a 35 / 2.0 Carl Zeiss Sonar T lens, an electronic viewfinder, a tilting touch screen and Wi-Fi. And of course - the best autofocus system among compacts and a huge dynamic range (maximum working ISO 6400).

In terms of photos, the RX1R II is great, the picture is bright, juicy and detailed, even when shooting camera JPEG, but the video is not so smooth. The device cannot record in 4K and cannot boast of having autofocus in video shooting mode. In general, for street photography, subject to an unlimited budget, that's it.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100

The Lumix DMC-LX100 is notable for its Leica lens (zoom 24-75 mm f/1.7-f/2.8) and the ability to record 4K video, which is extremely rare among compacts. In all other respects, this is a perfectly balanced camera with a full range of technological features (viewfinder, Wi-Fi, numerous mechanical controls, a fast processor that allows you to shoot at up to 11 fps).

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

In our opinion, if you are satisfied with the focal length of the built-in lens, it is better to choose the DMC-LX100 than the DSLR / UPC + lens kit. Thus, you will win in ease of use (dimensions, weight), and additionally you can save a lot. Price - from 49 thousand rubles and a well-deserved rating of 5 points in terms of price / quality ratio.

Fuji X70

The X70 is equipped with a fixed Fujinon 28/2.8 lens, which allows you to take pictures of amazing quality - both in sharpness and in color reproduction. This is a great camera for street photography, which takes a compact size and nimble automation, which makes it possible to get the camera out of your pocket and take a picture in a matter of seconds.

Among the advantages of the X70 are design, convenient operation, wide dynamic range and a decent working ISO (3200). Disadvantages - the lack of a viewfinder and image stabilization system. Price - from 40 thousand rubles.

Olympus TG-4

The Olympus TG-4 is a relatively cheap compact, a great choice for people whose main passion is photography. The TG-4 is ideal for any environment, from home shooting to extreme vacation photography, which the camera will endure with dignity thanks to its dust- and moisture-resistant housing (shooting at a depth of up to 15 meters is possible).

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Among the pleasant things, we highlight RAW support, optical stabilization, fast and accurate autofocus, the presence of Wi-Fi and GPS modules, as well as the ability to shoot in aperture priority mode with manual ISO setting, which allows you to squeeze the maximum photo quality out of the TG-4 in low light. Cons - mediocre video quality. Price - from 21 thousand rubles.

The beginning of the year is a good time to buy a camera. Autumn announcements are already actively turning into real goods on store shelves, prices for previous generations of devices are falling, spring and summer are clearly visible ahead - the best seasons for shooting outdoors, working in the landscape genre and reporting from holidays and vacations.

Cameras with interchangeable lenses. Bestsellers 2017

We continue to publish materials under the heading "Bestsellers". The new article is dedicated to the sales leaders of the market of cameras with interchangeable lenses. In it, we decided to bring together data on the popularity among buyers of both SLR and mirrorless cameras. We obtained the information from open sources that monitor the dynamics of sales of electronics and household appliances in Russia through online stores and the largest federal networks. This article uses data collected between early January and mid-March 2017.

5th place. Olympus OM-D E-M10 Kit

The flagship Olympus OM-D series of mirrorless cameras was at one time the first to convince amateurs (and even professionals) well versed in photography that it was possible to switch to this class of cameras from SLR models. And although the Olympus OM-D E-M10, released in 2014, is considered the youngest in its line, it is almost as good as its “top” sister in terms of image quality, ergonomics and functions.

Compactness, very high autofocus speed, convenient ergonomics with an abundance of mechanical elements, a developed fleet of optics - all this attracts a modern buyer to the Olympus OM-D E-M10. A kit with a lens is now relatively inexpensive, but is a great start to a serious passion for photography. At the same time, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II, released a year later, does not offer anything radically better for a beginner - but it costs more than 20 percent more.

If we talk about any noticeable shortcomings of the Olympus OM-D E-M10, which did not allow this excellent camera to take a higher place, then it is probably worth mentioning the not-so-developed video mode. Its maximum quality: Full HD with a frequency of 30 frames in progressive scan - is now able to satisfy not everyone.

4th place. Nikon D750 Body

Getting a full-frame camera into the top five (even four) sales leaders is a special event that says a lot about the quality and cost of the model.

The fact that buyers have made their choice in favor of a complete set without a lens is quite understandable. Nikon D750 is primarily interesting for professional photographers and people who are sincerely passionate about photography. Both of these audiences already have a good stock of carefully selected optics (which serve them for years and decades), and they approach the choice of device strictly from a utilitarian point of view (in fact, as a consumable).

What attracted buyers Nikon D750 and inclined their choice in their favor against the background of other full-frame DSLRs? First, the price. The Nikon D750 is the most inexpensive full-frame camera that meets professional needs (which is not the case with Nikon D610 or Canon EOS 6D). Secondly, the Nikon D750 is a modern camera, taking it in hand, the photographer will not feel somehow technically disadvantaged.

Indeed, despite the fact that the Nikon D750 appeared on the market at the end of 2014, its characteristics are very relevant to this day. So, a full-frame CMOS sensor with a resolution of 24 megapixels has good detail and just an excellent signal-to-noise ratio at high ISO values. With continuous shooting at up to 6.5 frames per second, the Nikon D750 can be used in a very wide range of working conditions - including for shooting reports. A fast autofocus system, dual memory card support, a flip-out information display and a bright viewfinder make the Nikon D750 a worthy choice for someone who knows how to make money from photography. The features inherent in modern devices, the Nikon D750 include a built-in WiFi module, the presence of ports for headphones and a microphone, as well as the ability to shoot very high-quality Full HD video.

3rd place. Canon EOS 1200D

Canon EOS 1200D today is the lowest cost SLR camera in its class and in its niche. Of course, studying offers at network "flea markets", for the amount of 19 thousand rubles you can even bargain for a flagship device ... manufactured in 2005. But this path to big photography is not for everyone.

Although the Canon EOS 1200D has been on the market for quite some time (since mid-2014), the camera continues to be quite in demand in many ways. Using a long and well-established 18 megapixel CMOS sensor, it produces quality images that rival the detail, dynamic range and color reproduction of more expensive and technically advanced Canon cameras.

The third place of the Canon EOS 1200D in the list of sales leaders is easily explained not only by the advantages of the model itself - it is quite balanced in terms of price and quality. It seems to us that the main advantage of the Canon EOS 1200D in the eyes of the buyer is the opportunity for the photographer to buy, expand and use the fleet of Canon optics and accessories in the future. The Japanese corporation remains the leader of the photography market today, having the widest range of lenses for any task and for any “purse”. Having bought a Canon EOS 1200D, a person may not worry that the lens he needs will not be in the store or (in the event of a critical breakdown situation) there will not be a specialist nearby who can restore its performance.

2nd place. Nikon D3300 Kit

Among the entry-level SLRs available for purchase at retail (rather than hand-held in used condition), the Nikon D3300 is truly the best choice. If we take its successor as a competitor - the Nikon D3400, then we will see that there have been no serious changes in design and functionality in two years. Matrix, processor, design - everything remains the same. The Nikon D3400 has a built-in Bluetooth module, but the matrix cleaning system and the microphone port have disappeared. There is practically no point in losing them for an additional thousand rubles (that's how much the Nikon D3400 now costs more than the Nikon D3300).

Canon's entry-level DSLRs are also less attractive to buyers than the Nikon D3300. Both the specific characteristics of the camera (a 24-megapixel sensor, better autofocus, higher burst speed, more advanced video mode) and subjective convenience (information display with better detail, smaller dimensions and weight) affect here.

Thus, upon careful study of the details, the motivation of all novice photographers who decide to choose the Nikon D3300 as their debut camera becomes quite clear.

1 place. Sony Alpha A6000 Kit

The Sony Alpha A6000 mirrorless camera appeared on the market quite a long time ago - in mid-2014, but its design and functionality turned out to be so successful that they are recognized as relevant to this day.

In fact, the Sony Alpha A6000 at one time became the final mirrorless camera for amateur models of the Sony NEX line, having collected the best developments and solutions in its design.

These include, in particular, convenient operation with a flip-down display and electronic viewfinder, a separate shooting mode dial and two command dials. Sony Alpha A6000 is quite small in size and even with good optics does not take up much space in the bag and does not pull the shoulder.

However, usability would hardly have mattered if the Sony camera shot badly. However, the Sony Alpha A6000 shoots very well - and we put a double meaning in this term: the device takes excellent, detailed, bright pictures and perfectly shoots Full HD video at up to 60 frames per second (in progressive scan).

The special advantages of the Sony Alpha A6000 (in comparison with its classmates of a similar price category) include extremely fast and “tenacious” autofocus, a good signal-to-noise ratio at high ISO values and a high “rate of fire” in burst mode.

The excellent balance of price, quality and features, as well as a very accurate hit in the audience's requests, helped Sony Alpha A6000 take the first place in sales.

Conclusion

As we can see, the results of the first quarter of 2017 in the Russian market of photographic equipment turned out to be very interesting.

First, it is noticeable that the general stagnation of the interchangeable-lens camera market is not yet in full force in Russia. The best sellers in January-March 2017 were models of various classes: from budget to full-frame, both SLR and mirrorless. This indicates that the growing stratification “amateurs shoot on smartphones, professionals use top-end DSLRs” is not yet happening in our country.

Secondly, according to the results of consumer activity in the domestic market of photographic equipment, signs of a general economic crisis are clearly visible. All five of the top sellers consist of models that appeared in 2014. Apparently, this is an important threshold of economic feasibility for our country, beyond which retailers can afford to cut prices. Cameras released later are affected by the change in the exchange rate. As for the devices of 2013 and earlier years of production, their relevance today for the buyer is clearly insufficient.

Finally, thirdly, one cannot but rejoice at the variety of brands shown in the list of bestsellers. There are four companies for five places (and five for six places, taking into account the Fujifilm X-T10 mirrorless camera located at the 6th place). This indicates a fairly good work of manufacturers in the domestic market. Thanks to her, a potential buyer is not afraid to be on hand with an "exotic" camera, for which it is impossible to find optics, accessories and technical support in nearby electronics stores.
