Prayer 4, Saint Macarius the Great

What will I bring to Thee, or what will I repay Thee, the most gifted Immortal King, the generous and philanthropic Lord, as if lazy to me for Your pleasure, and doing nothing good, did You bring to the end of this past day, the conversion and salvation of my soul building? To Thee, the Most Pure Mother of God, as a cursed one, I pray: weigh, Queen, as if I sin without ceasing and anger Your Son and my God, and many times I repent, I find lies before God, and I repent trembling: will the Lord really strike me, and by the hour I will create ; lead this, my mistress, the Lady Theotokos, I pray, have mercy, yes strengthen, and do good work and grant me.
