If you have downloaded photos from your Instagram account and the VSCO app, then it's time to start looking for the perfect filter for our feed. On the page that opens, click on the square icon in the middle of the bottom menu.

A page will open in front of you, which is similar to the account feed on Instagram. All photos that you upload here will be arranged in three columns, like on Instagram. To add downloaded photos to the VSCO feed, click on the plus sign in the upper right corner of the feed page.

After, on the newly opened page, select the photos that will fill our feed. Select 9 downloaded photos from your Instagram account and click on the checkmark in the upper right corner of the page.

After selecting all 9 images, take a screenshot of the page so that you can compare the same feed with filters applied. In my case, the feed feed initially looks like the one shown in the picture below.

How long does it take to manually find the right filter and filter options for our Instagram photo style? Lots of! After all, there are many filters. Yes, and each of them can be configured using the parameters in a large number of variations. Usually, posts in such communities look like a collage of several photos, to which a filter has been applied, the name and parameters of which are written on the image itself. The picture below is taken from the VSCO filter community. It shows examples of three photos under the VSCO Q4 filter. Below the name are additional options for formatting the standard Q4 filter.

Checking the filter

I chose this filter for myself, because I liked it. Let's apply the Q4 filter with the specified parameters and see the result. To do this, launch the VSCO application and go to the section of our feed, where there are 9 photos from our Instagram account. Unfortunately, in the application, I did not find the function of mass applying the filter to all selected images, so I had to apply the Q4 filter + parameters to each photo separately.

Select a photo and click on the image edit button in the lower menu, as in the picture below.

You will be taken to the page for editing the selected image. Below the image will be a list of filters. Q series filters at VSCO are chargeable. I had to pay 280 rubles for them, after which they appeared in my list of available filters. I click on the Q4 filter, and as an experiment, you can specify any other filter. After clicking on the name of the filter, it will be applied to the selected image, and the filter icon itself will be replaced by an icon with a white slider on a black background. By clicking on this black icon with a white slider you can select the filtering level (0-12). The picture with the filter parameters says "Q4 (+6)", where +6 is the degree of filtration. By moving the slider, I indicate the degree equal to the value +6.

Next, we need to specify the values of the remaining parameters, given along with the name of the filter. To do this, click on the icon with the sliders in the lower menu, after which a menu with additional properties will appear. We find in it the parameters for the filter indicated in the picture, click on the property icon and use the slider to select the desired value. Having set all the necessary values for the parameters specified for the filter, we save everything by clicking on the "Save" button in the upper right corner.

We do the same with all the other images in the feed, after which we take a screenshot of the received feed and compare the feed image without the filter and with the filter. If you like the result of applying the filter, then feel free to use it in your Instagram account!

PS: I gave not the most revealing example, selecting bright photos in the feed, where all of them have greenery. One gets the impression that the feed without a filter looks juicier. But in reality, the feed often contains completely different kinds of images, which can be given a common style with the help of filtering.
