Which is better: perga or pollen

Both the one and the other beekeeping product is unique in its own way. Perga, although it is essentially the same pollen, has significant differences.

Firstly, it is partially fermented by the saliva of bees and lactic acid, with the help of which it is preserved in the hive. Due to this, part of the allergens contained in the pollen is destroyed, so bee bread is much less likely to cause allergic reactions.

Secondly, the proteins, carbohydrates and other useful substances contained in bee bread are already in a ready-to-use form, therefore they are absorbed much better by the human body.

The benefits of bee bread for the human body are more pronounced than pollen, and therefore its use for medicinal purposes is preferable.

Conclusion

There are quite a few opinions about the benefits and harms of bee bread for the human body. However, many years of experience in the use of bee bread allows us to say with confidence that there are much more positive aspects from its use. This is one of the few natural products that has a whole range of useful properties and almost no contraindications.

Perga or “bee bread”, “bread”, as people say, is a natural product, the main component of which is pollen, prepared by bees to feed their offspring. Its feature is the rapid assimilation and digestion not only by larvae, but also by people.

In order to deliver this valuable substance to the hives, insects soak the raw material with saliva produced by special glands and glue it to their legs. Therefore, its other name is bee pollen. For one flight, workers carry up to 40 mg, and sometimes even a little more.

Each insect has its own duties and functions, which it strictly performs on an intuitive level. Having delivered the goods home, the pickers return for the next batch.

Other workers are taken to work, who once again process the brought raw materials, partially fill the honeycombs with them. The remaining place is filled with nectar and sealed with wax. This is where the work of honey plants ends. This is all clear, but the question arises. So what is bee perga?

After the painstaking work of the bees, the right bacteria with yeast fungi are taken to work. The lack of oxygen helps them process the bee pollen into a new substance that hardens over time. Lactic acid, which is the result of the action of microorganisms, acts as a preservative.

What is the difference between bee pollen and pollen?

Minerals in perga.

The chemical composition of pollen differs from pollen. The first is more saturated with elements that were formed during the processing of raw materials by industrious insects, fungi and bacteria. Lactic acid fermentation destroys pollen grains, reduces the amount of proteins and fats, increasing carbohydrates by 2.5 times.

Khlebina is more sterile than pollen due to the high content of sugars, which prevent the appearance of mold and microbes. Therefore, it has a longer shelf life, does not lose its medicinal qualities longer. In addition, this way it is better absorbed.

The second is harder for the human digestive system. In bread, during fermentation, most of the hard-to-digest components are destroyed, which contributes to a more comfortable intake. As a result of this, the effect of treatment is achieved much faster than with the use of bee pollen.

If we talk about differences in composition, then the first contains more vitamins A, B, E, but less vitamin C.

Vitamins in perga.

Khlebina most often has a brown uniform color, is a mixture of components collected from different plants. Pollen is a varied color palette (white, yellow, red, brown, blue, orange), depending on the flower from which it was collected. It also contains more protein and minerals, but its nutritional value is much lower (3–5 times).

How to take bread intended for oral administration depends on what type it belongs to:

  • to the granules
  • honeycombs;
  • paste.

Bee-bread in combs is considered the best, since it was less subjected to various manipulations during its extraction. The advantage is that the bread in the combs does not have an unpleasant smell and taste. There are some disadvantages - a short shelf life.

It is necessary to eat bee bread in honeycombs or in the form of a paste with extreme caution, since it is very difficult to correctly calculate the required dose. When using the paste, it must be taken into account that it contains honey, which can be harmful to those who are intolerant to bee nectar.

Admission rules depend on the disease. The dosage is also calculated individually for each case, taking into account age and diagnosis, as well as other restrictions. There are general recommendations regarding its use:

  • by time;
  • in count;
  • in any form;
  • how to use.

As for the time, it can be taken before or after a meal. In the treatment of hypertension, consume 30 minutes before meals on an empty stomach. If there are problems with the gastrointestinal tract, then it is better to eat half an hour in advance so as not to cause discomfort in the stomach.

  • humidity;
  • temperature;
  • lack of odors;
  • places.

Humidity should not be higher than 30%. Exceeding the specified standard is a prerequisite for the appearance of mold and moths. It is necessary to maintain the same temperature regime. Too low does not have a very beneficial effect on the medicinal substance, and too high - contributes to drying.

If a lump appears, then the product is of poor quality, it is better not to use it, it has every chance of becoming moldy.

The shelf life can be extended by preserving the substance. To do this, it is poured with nectar, preferably fresh. It can be mixed in a ratio of 1/3. Since honey is an excellent preservative, this paste can be kept at room temperature at home.

For proper storage of bee bread at home, clean glassware with airtight lids is suitable. To repel moths, acetic acid is used, which is placed near the frames.

How is perga harvested?

There are several ways to extract a valuable substance. Consider the main and most sparing in terms of preserving healing qualities:

  1. To extract the bread, the honeycombs are soaked in water, then the granules are shaken out and dried thoroughly.

  4. Honeycombs are frozen, finely crushed, and wax is removed by sowing.

  • convective;
  • vacuum.

The bee leaving the hive visits a huge number of flowers. While flying, her body is electrified and being on a flower, particles of pollen are attracted to her. Then she deftly collects it with her paws from the head and abdomen, moving it into special baskets on her paws. Arriving back, it throws pollen from its paws into the cells of honeycombs. The others do the same operation. Then, when the desired amount is reached in the cell, it is tamped and filled with honey, which does not allow air to penetrate inside. Under the action of lactic acid bacteria in an anaerobic environment, the mixture is fermented. The result is perga. In fact, this is pollen, compacted by bees into cells and passed through lactic acid fermentation.
The bees need it to feed the larvae.

Perga and its usefulness

The usefulness of this beekeeping product for humans has long been legendary.
Bee pollen (another name for bee bread) is a more healing product than pollen, as it contains more biologically active substances. It has been established that it is a natural antibiotic, several times superior to honey and pollen, and its nutritional value is 3 times higher than the value of pollen.

This product is rich in protein, carbohydrates, micro and macro elements, hormones, amino acids and fatty acids. According to the composition in nature, there are no substitutes for perga.

Due to this composition, bee perga is used to treat many diseases of the pancreas, cardiovascular system, liver, digestive tract, colds, impotence, infertility, depression, acne.
Its use enhances the effect of drugs, so in some cases, you can reduce their dose, in consultation with your doctor. Perga, due to its composition, is used in cosmetology for the manufacture of skin care products for the face, body, and hair.

Proper intake of perga

Treatment with bee bread will be effective only if the product is used correctly. Indeed, for each specific disease, perga is taken differently. In most cases, bee bread is consumed half an hour before meals 2 times a day, placed under the tongue and trying to dissolve. It is undesirable to use bee bread late in the evening, as it tones the body, which can cause insomnia.

For the purpose of prevention, the average portion for an adult varies between 5-10 g of the drug per day. Therapy is usually carried out in cycles of 25-30 days with an interval of 1-2 months. To prevent beriberi and for immunity, 3 courses per year lasting 1 month will be enough.

With an exacerbation of the disease, the portion of perga can be increased by 2-3 times, but then the duration of its use will decrease significantly. Specific dosages and duration of the course of treatment will be prescribed by a knowledgeable phytotherapist or attending physician.
When treating ARVI, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and other viral infections, the amount of perga taken increases to 30 g per day.

Treatment of cancer and pancreatitis

Benign tumors must be removed to avoid their transformation into malignant ones. This applies to fibroids, mastopathy, cystic formations. Practice shows that the use of perga can often help to avoid surgery for cancer. This product should be taken 30 minutes before meals, 1/3 tsp. Perga must be thoroughly absorbed in the mouth so that it is well processed in the body. Repeat the procedure 2 times a day. The course of therapy lasts 3 months. During this period, the total amount of accepted perga will be 0.5 kg. A mixture of blueberries and perga effectively affects the body.

When treating the pancreas (pancreatitis), the course of treatment should last at least 45 days. Perga is used as follows: every morning and evening, take a teaspoon of perga 15 minutes before meals. In addition, to achieve the best result throughout the course, it is recommended to use decoctions of medicinal herbs. In the diet, you must certainly introduce blueberries with perga.

Perga for diabetes and AD

Bee pollen with honey can successfully treat liver diseases, while it is important to know how to take pollen.

It is necessary to strictly observe the ratio of honey and bee bread 1: 1. For example: combine a tablespoon of honey with a tablespoon of bee bread and take this mixture 2-3 times a day, a teaspoon before meals, drinking warm boiled water. Such treatment improves liver function, helps to strengthen the whole body.

When this happens, the solution can be drunk. A glass of this drink affects the appetite, and also contains the entire set of substances needed by the body. By saturating the body with energy, it encourages you to move more, which will contribute to weight loss.

Ways to store perga

Bee pollen is very sensitive to storage conditions and, under improper conditions, quickly loses its usefulness and can even become harmful. Therefore, keeping it at home is not an easy task.

Through experiments, beekeepers have come to the conclusion that the best ways to store this product are: in combs, in granules and in the form of a paste. When selecting frames with bee bread, you need to choose the most filled, covered with honey and sealed. These will last longer. But storage in honeycombs is the most difficult way. First of all, this is the temperature regime, it should be from +1 .. + 5 ° С at a humidity not higher than 30%. The room should be dry, dark, without extraneous odors.

When these indicators change, mold develops, and wax moth may appear in the combs. It is not easy to create such storage conditions at home. The cellar is completely unsuitable due to humidity, the refrigerator is also high humidity.

You can extend the shelf life in combs and preserve the usefulness of bee bread if you fill the combs with honey, but this is only if the bees have not filled them completely. The shelf life of bee bread in combs, with full observance of all conditions, at best, can be six months.

Storage in granules and as a paste

Ground bee pollen is not so demanding on storage conditions. It must be ground together with honeycombs, adding honey. It is a natural preservative and extends the shelf life of bee bread.

It is necessary to store bee bread in the form of a paste at a temperature of +2 .. + 4 ° C in a glass container in a dark place. Compliance with these conditions will extend the shelf life of bee bread paste up to a year, but no more.

The most convenient way to preserve bee bread is in granules. It is removed from the honeycombs, cleaned of impurities and dried well. You can store the granules in glass jars at room temperature. Banks should not be closed, it is necessary that air can circulate. You can cover with napkins or gauze. If there is high humidity in the room, the perga will quickly deteriorate. Keep it in the refrigerator, too, can not be due to humidity.

How long can granulated perga last? There is no definite answer yet, some say - no more than a year, others say - several years.

Knowing how to use bee bread, how to store it, you can significantly improve your health without resorting to pills and potions that cause any side effects and are not always useful.

When it comes to healthy bee products, most people remember only honey. They can also name propolis - the strongest antibacterial agent, they will say about pollen. And not so many people will remember bee perga, a very useful substance with high healing properties.

Origin

In order to talk about the usefulness of bee bread and its use, you can learn a little more about its medicinal properties. It is often referred to as "bee bread". Indeed, the bees prepare it in order to feed their children, who are in the combs in the larval stage. These larvae at a certain stage of their development feed exclusively on bee bread, without it they would die in the shortest possible time. Therefore, such a name - bee bread - is quite appropriate.

Even people far from beekeeping know that bees bring pollen to the hives. But few people know why they do it. Bee pollen is put into cells, after wetting it with their saliva containing specific enzymes. Moistened, it is mixed by insects with a small amount of nectar and tightly packed in a cell.

Further, in this mass, a process of fermentation and fermentation occurs, similar to that observed in silo pits. As a result, the cell contains a useful substance rich in proteins, organic acids and amino acids, minerals and fats - bee pollen. It contains many vitamins, hormones and polysaccharides, antidepressants. In total, biochemists have identified over six dozen different substances with medicinal properties in bee bread!

Useful qualities

It is this richness of the composition that determines the usefulness of bee pollen. This is what its medicinal properties are expressed in.

  • Natural antibiotic, acting gently, in a wide spectrum.
  • It has a beneficial effect on strengthening the immune system, the general physical condition of the body.
  • It contains natural antidepressants.
  • It has a beneficial effect on the mental activity of a person, increases physical endurance.
  • Improves blood quality, raises hemoglobin levels.
  • Perfectly heals wounds, is used in cosmetology to improve skin condition.
  • Significantly improves the activity of the human gastrointestinal tract, helps restore the liver.
  • Removes toxins from the body.
  • Improving the hormonal balance of the body, increases male potency.

This list is far from everything that is capable of correctly and regularly.

How to take perga

Having such a diverse effect on the human body, bee bread can be used in various ways, both prophylactically, strengthening the immune system, and as a therapeutic agent. As always, you should not self-medicate, it will be correct to coordinate the intake of the substance with a professional attending physician! In addition, you need to know that for some people taking bee bread is generally contraindicated. For example, this includes people with diabetes who suffer from various bleeding (perga dilutes the blood).

Most often, perga is taken in three forms:

  • Straight from the honeycombs in which it was kept by bees. In this form, perga is closest to its natural state, but there are significant drawbacks. The main thing is that bee bread in honeycombs is not stored for long. One more thing - chewing natural bee bread along with wax is rather inconvenient and even unpleasant.
  • Use in the form of characteristic hexagonal capsules or granules, repeating the shape of a bee cell on a honeycomb. How to take bee bread in granules, how to do it correctly, will be described in more detail below.
  • In the form of a mass ground into powder, mixed with honey. Such a preparation can be stored for quite a long time, thanks to the antiseptic properties of honey, and it is convenient to take it. But when grinding and drying, bee bread loses some of its unique properties, besides, the mixture is more allergenic than ordinary bee bread.

Product in granules: features of use and dosage

Bee pollen in the form of hexagonal granules can be bought at a pharmacy, in beekeeping stores or at specialized fairs. It is obtained by preliminary drying or freezing of natural bee bread and further separation from wax. It should be noted right away that such bee bread can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time, but in terms of its useful properties it is slightly inferior to natural bee bread due to the loss of some of the complex molecular biological substances.

There are various schemes and recommendations on how to properly take granular perga. Many people use it simply for preventive purposes, rightly believing that it is useful. Bee perga strengthens the immune system, improves the functioning of the heart muscle, acts as an antidepressant, enhances potency. In such cases, it is enough to slowly dissolve 5-7 granules in the mouth, on an empty stomach and without drinking anything. After taking it, you should refrain from breakfast for 15 minutes.

The use of bee bread should not be continuous. It is useful to use the following scheme: one month on, two months off.

If the purpose of the use of granules is the treatment of specific diseases, other schemes are used. Let's look at some of the most common.

  • How to take perga for immunity. They take half a glass of honey and 1 gram of royal jelly (you can buy it in the same place as bee bread). A teaspoon of granules is ground into powder and mixed with honey and milk. Keep overnight in the refrigerator so that the mixture acquires the necessary properties. Take one teaspoon a day, in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • To treat liver function and improve blood quality. Mix bee bread and honey in equal volumes and take an incomplete teaspoon before meals, three times a day, you can drink warm water. For the treatment of the liver, continue the course for 2 months.
  • For the treatment of colds and acute respiratory infections. Adults are recommended to dissolve about 20 granules per day, morning and evening, before meals. For children, reduce the dose by three times!
  • Useful in cosmetology. Here, too, there are a lot of different recipes with their own properties. One of the most popular is to take bee bread and honey in equal weight proportions (pre-grind the granules), add 5% propolis oil (by weight) to the resulting mass. A tablespoon of the resulting mixture is slightly diluted with water. Next, it must be applied to the face or other exposed areas of the skin. Wash off with warm water after half an hour. The skin acquires the properties of silkiness, becomes elastic. In such procedures, the simultaneous use of granules inside is useful in the same way as for prevention.

A huge advantage of all bee products, including bee bread, is that they act gently, strengthen the immune system, and it is difficult to overdose them to dangerous values. For the same reason, a granular product can, and even useful, be taken by children, and even the smallest ones. Perhaps the kids do not want to eat it in its pure form, so for them you can add bee bread to porridge, drinks and other foods. Of course, doses for children should be 2-3 times less than for adults, and for very young children (about a year old) - only 1-2 granules per day.

The product can be safely used together with drugs used for stress. However, as already mentioned, it in itself has the properties of a good natural antidepressant, having a pleasant taste and saturating the body with vitamins and biologically active substances. People who systematically use bee bread granules will soon notice an improvement in their mood, they will have vivacity, the thirst for life will be activated. And if they have taken antidepressants before, the need for them will most likely disappear.
