Given the change in taste preferences during pregnancy, there may be a desire to drink alcohol. In this case, pregnant women are invited to purchase non-alcoholic wine, which does not differ from the real one in taste. However, they should not be abused.

Doctors were divided about the use of wine during this period. Some tend to believe that the drink is harmful, others that it will be useful, but, of course, in small quantities.

Alcohol abuse during pregnancy can lead to various consequences:

  • the formation of fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS);
  • improper formation of organs in the embryo;
  • identification of mental or physical abnormalities in a newborn;
  • premature birth.

FAS - Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

The risk of developing these consequences occurs if a pregnant woman has consumed an increased dose of alcohol throughout the entire period.

However, if a girl drank no more than one sip of wine a day, this, according to British researchers, has a beneficial effect on the fetus. We are talking about the use of red wine that helps to raise the level of hemoglobin.

Also, according to studies, it was noted that in women who drank during pregnancy, children developed much faster. It is important to remember about the restrictions associated with the amount of drink you drink.

Harm or benefit from one glass

Medicine does not give exact answers whether pregnant women can drink. It is believed that alcohol has a bad effect on the body of a newborn. Therefore, a glass of wine is quite capable of negatively affecting its development if the frequency of consumption and the amount is exceeded.

To begin with, you should understand that glasses are different, and, therefore, the volume of the drink you drink varies. One serving of alcohol contains 10 ml of alcohol. The percentage of alcohol content is indicated on the bottle label, wine products contain approximately 12%. If we take into account glasses with a volume of 150 ml, then it turns out that it holds 1.5 servings of alcohol.

Types of wine and their influence

However, even considering the fact that during pregnancy you can drink wine within reasonable limits, it is important to consider its type.

Dry or dessert

Dessert wines should be avoided by pregnant women. More often it is stronger with a high sugar content. Champagne should also be avoided because of its bubbles.

But dry table wine will help get rid of toxicosis in the early stages. And also copes with lack of appetite and low blood pressure.

You should be careful with homemade wines, because the exact alcohol content is not known and the strength will be higher than that of the bought one. Also, the production technology of this type may have been violated, and therefore the drink is capable of containing harmful microorganisms.

White wine

Pregnant wine with a lot of sugar is not recommended. At the same time, when choosing a drink, you should pay attention to the grapes from which it was produced.

A little white wine is good for the heart and lungs. Although these varieties contain fewer antioxidants, they do not often cause dizziness and weakness, unlike red.

In the USSR, pregnant women were advised to add red wine in small doses to their diet.

Drinking red wine is good because it:

  • contains vitamins P and B, they reduce the risk of developing blood clots;
  • normalizes hemoglobin;
  • synthesizes the removal of toxins from the body.

Red dry wine helps if a woman suffers from insomnia. However, before drinking a drink, you should consult a specialist. Due to the individuality of the organisms, the doctor will tell you how much you should drink it so as not to harm the fetus.

Non-alcoholic wine

If you still really want to drink a glass of red, there is an alternative - non-alcoholic wine. Produced with an alcohol ratio of only 0.5%.

The manufacturing technology is identical to the usual wine product, but before bottling it is cleaned of ethyl alcohol. At the same time, it remains rich in all vitamins and microelements.
A doctor prescribes this wine for pregnant women when:

  • a woman has problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • revealed cirrhosis of the liver;
  • chronic fatigue;
  • low pressure;
  • no appetite.

Due to the fact that such a product is quite expensive, there are many fakes. Therefore, before buying it is worth studying the composition. If there is no confidence in the quality, it is better to replace the drink with grape juice.

Wine in the first trimester

Experts cannot agree on whether it is possible for pregnant women to drink wine in the early stages or not. In this matter, the final decision is made by the woman. However, she must be aware of the risks.

In the early stages, the organs of the embryo are just beginning to form, and alcohol can contribute to the formation of pathologies.

Possible consequences could be:

  • facial defects;
  • violations of the structure of the brain and heart;
  • problems with neurology;
  • physical and mental retardation.

If the girl did not know that she was pregnant and drank alcoholic beverages in large quantities, she should notify the attending physician about this.

Second trimester

In the second trimester, it refers to wine products, it should be reasonable, you can drink if:

  • high quality alcohol. It should not contain any impurities and additives;
  • do not exceed a serving of 100 ml.

If pregnant women cannot drink wine due to medical conditions, but there is a problem of low hemoglobin, liver, pomegranate juice, beef and rose hips should be added to your menu.

During pregnancy, a woman’s diet is severely limited, this is done in order to protect the health of both the mother and the baby from negative influences. This prohibition includes the consumption of alcohol. This list also includes wine, about which there are active disputes. Some argue that in small doses, the drink is not only harmless, but also beneficial, while others argue that it works like a poison not only for the mother, but for the unborn child. In this article, we will look at how wine affects a woman in position and how much you can drink it, depending on the variety.

How wine affects pregnancy

In a small amount, a wine drink will not harm, but will be useful. English scientists from University College London proved, using the example of more than 12 thousand families in Britain, that children whose mothers could afford several glasses of wine drink once every 7 days had a higher level of both mental and mental development compared to those whose mothers completely abandoned alcohol.

A re-examination of the same children after 3 years showed that the first group of kids knew much more letters and numbers, and also knew how to talk better.

However, with an excessively large amount of alcohol on the menu of a pregnant woman, a large number of pathologies in the development of the fetus were observed, and even there was a possibility of premature birth. A child under such conditions may develop various kinds of birth defects, underweight or deformity.

Important! Alcohol in large quantities is a teratogen. That is, a substance that penetrates the child's body and negatively affects him. Doctors associate the formation of fetal syndrome with its effect, which causes abnormalities in the development of the brain.

The body's need for a wine product in pregnant women is often associated with a lack of B vitamins. It must be remembered that some varieties of grape drink dilate blood vessels, which can cause dizziness and a decrease in body tone.
Also a very important factor in the question of the use of a wine product is its quality and the timing of pregnancy when the expectant mother consumes it. Let's consider the second thesis in more detail.

In the early stages

The most dangerous period for drinking alcoholic beverages are the first three months of pregnancy. In the first 10-12 days after conception, alcohol is not yet able to damage the fetus, which is just beginning to develop.

But after this period, you should be careful with its use, since the stage of formation of the main organs of the child begins. Any violation at this stage can cause serious pathologies.

Any alcohol in the first trimester of pregnancy can disrupt the normal blood flow in the vessels of the placenta, which leads to oxygen starvation, and eventually, if no action is taken, to intrauterine death.

Under the influence of alcohol, the level of folic acid in the mother's body decreases, due to which the fetus does not receive the required amount of nutrients. In addition, toxic substances contained in wine drinks are freely absorbed through the placenta into the tissues of the fetus.
With regular consumption of wine in unlimited quantities, the unborn child develops an alcohol syndrome, which leads to both physical and mental developmental delay. Sometimes pregnant women during toxicosis want to skip a glass.

However, in such a situation, you should not blindly use what the body needs, because all the harmful substances obtained from alcohol are shared by the expectant mother with the baby. If you really want it, then in a small amount you can, but at this stage of pregnancy it is better to completely abandon this drink.

Second trimester

At this stage of pregnancy, the embryo is well attached to the uterus and an active metabolic process begins between mother and child. That is why during this period it is very important to use only the most necessary and useful products for both.

Wine in the second trimester can cause severe intoxication of the body, and sometimes even cause a miscarriage. Even the consumption of alcohol in any form can disrupt the functioning of the liver, brain and cardiovascular system in a baby.
Wine helps to increase hemoglobin, but it is better not to resort to this method, but to introduce into your diet, liver (preferably beef) and.

At a later date

The safest is the consumption of wine in the third trimester, because all tissues and organs are already formed, and the baby is actively gaining weight and growing.

However, you should not get carried away with wine in such an important period of life, as it can disrupt the blood circulation in the umbilical cord, and as a result, the fetus will suffer from hypoxia. In small doses, a wine drink will help get rid of late toxicosis, which can be observed in this trimester. At the same time, the activity of the child increases, which often causes additional discomfort for the expectant mother.
Drinking wine in the 9th month of pregnancy helps to relieve fatigue and relax, but you should not abuse such a "sedative". You must always remember that during this period your baby is completely dependent on you, and your actions are reflected in him.

Is it possible to drink a glass of wine during pregnancy

Scientists around the world have two opposing views on this matter. Thus, the World Health Organization urges expectant mothers to refrain from wine or other alcohol for the entire period of bearing a child. Interestingly, in the UK, the Department of Health recommends that women drink a glass once every 7 days.

The same opinion is shared by the specialists of the Center for Addictions and Mental Health of Canada, but English scientists say that a pregnant woman can drink up to 6 glasses a week without any tangible harm.

This issue has not been studied well enough, so many doctors prohibit alcohol at any stage of pregnancy and in any quantity. But even those doctors who allow you to drink a "little" wine drink differ in dosages. Some say that the maximum allowable amount of wine per week is 100-150 ml, while others say the figure is 50 ml. But here's what is worth knowing and important to remember: one serving of alcohol should contain 10 ml of ethanol.
The percentage of ethyl alcohol is always written on a bottle of wine, and it fluctuates around 12%. Accordingly, one glass contains approximately 1.5 servings. Doctors recommend women in position to consume no more than 1-2 servings of alcohol during the week. Seems like an easy rule to follow. But there are also pitfalls. At home, after one glass of wine, you may want more, but in restaurants this drink is served in glasses, which contain about three servings.

Did you know?In countries where wine is part of the daily meal and consumed in small quantities, the likelihood of developing pathological changes in the unborn child is much lower than in other countries.

Whether to drink wine during pregnancy and in what quantity, it is up to the expectant mother to decide. Doctors can recommend, and already the woman makes the decision herself and, accordingly, assumes responsibility for the health of her unborn child.
Conscious parents will exclude this product from their menu for 9 months altogether. However, if you really want to, you can dilute a little wine drink with water, thereby reducing the percentage of alcohol. At the same time, it is worth remembering that a glass of wine in the early stages can do more harm than good.

What and how much wine can be allowed

Now you know about the beneficial and harmful properties of this drink, but you also need to answer the question of which wines are the most beneficial and in what dosages they can be consumed.

Each variety of this noble drink has its own unique composition and has a different effect on a person and, in particular, on a pregnant woman. When choosing a wine drink, it is necessary to pay attention not only to the percentage of alcohol, but also to the type and color of the wine.

Did you know?Dry red wine in the Soviet Union, and earlier in Tsarist Russia, was an integral part of the menu for pregnant women. And the doctors argued that the harm from such a drink for the unborn child would be minimal.

When choosing between dessert and dry varieties, it is necessary to give preference to dry ones. Dessert varieties are made with the addition of a significant amount of sugar, and most often they are fortified. Champagne is not the best choice, as it contains a lot of gases that can cause heartburn.
Table varieties of dry wines are the best option for a pregnant woman:

  • they help with low blood pressure,
  • it is a good way to overcome nausea and increase appetite.
However, not everyone can drink dry wines, so they can be replaced with semi-sweet ones.

Red, including dry

This wine increases hemoglobin and improves mood. It is enough to sip this wonderful drink before eating, and the pregnant woman's appetite improves. With toxicosis, it is enough to drink 2-3 tablespoons, and your health will noticeably improve.

This drink contains vitamins B, P and C, which prevent blood clots. However, they can hardly be called useful for the unborn baby. The best sources of these vitamins are fruits and vegetables.

Cahors is allowed to drink to a woman only when the fetus is 17 weeks old. This restriction is due to the fact that from the 1st to the 17th week there is a threat of miscarriage.

The expectant mother of a red wine drink can drink no more than 100 ml once every 7 days, and dry red - only 25 ml. In this case, it is necessary to choose only expensive wines, since they contain a minimum of dyes and other additives.
Dry red wine helps to overcome insomnia, so it is allowed to drink this wine drink, diluted with water, in a ratio of 1 to 1, 1 tbsp. l. before bedtime.

White

Unlike red varieties, white wine contains fewer antioxidants, this is due to different production methods. For the manufacture of white wines, both white and pink varieties of grapes are used, as well as red ones, however, after separating the pulp of the berry from the skin.

This drink has a good effect on the performance of the lungs and heart and is more easily absorbed by the body compared to other varieties. You can use it no more than 100 ml once every 7 days, then the harm to the child will be minimal.

Non-alcoholic wine

This type of wine drink is a kind of alternative to white or red. However, one should not deceive oneself - such alcohol also contains ethyl alcohol. But its percentage does not exceed 0.5%, which is commensurate with kefir. The preparation process is no different from other wines, however, at the last stage, when it is bottled, ethanol is removed from it. This operation is performed in a special container using a vacuum.
The resulting drink retains all the useful elements, so it is not only dietary, but also medicinal.

It also helps to get rid of chronic fatigue, hypertension, increases the overall tone of the body and improves appetite. When drinking such wine, the likelihood of the formation of atherosclerotic plaques in the vessels decreases. It promotes the absorption of meat protein and is a low-calorie product.

Important!When consuming non-alcoholic wine, despite its medicinal properties, you must be extremely careful. After all, it may contain various additives, chemicals, mold spores or sulfur, and the aging period of such a drink is much less compared to other varieties. Such a product can also cause allergies in both the mother and the child.

Doctors allow drinking non-alcoholic wine in early pregnancy only after 12 weeks, provided that the mother does not have any complications. The consumption rate of such a drink per week should not be more than 100 ml.

homemade

This type of wine drink is distinguished by more natural ingredients, because it does not contain chemicals, and as a result, the harmful effects on the body are significantly reduced.

When asked whether it is harmful to use this kind of wine for a pregnant woman, scientists and doctors advise: if the choice is red, white or homemade, then it is better to opt for homemade, because it contains only 5-10% alcohol.

In addition, home-made wine contains a minimum of harmful impurities and chemicals. If you make this drink yourself, you are able to control the fermentation process and, if necessary, add various medicinal plants and herbs that will only increase the healing properties of the drink. It helps to strengthen bones, reduce blood pressure and normalize sleep.
However, you should not get involved in such alcohol during the period of bearing a child, because only 100 ml per week can bring benefits.

During this period, the best option would be to abstain from alcohol, but if the need is so great, then you can drink a small amount, but remember - you should not do this in the early stages, because wine can provoke a miscarriage.

Among the drinks that are prohibited during pregnancy, the first place is occupied by alcohol. But doctors hold different opinions regarding the use of wine products during the period of "interesting situation". Some argue that wine is almost a poisonous substance. Others tend to believe that in small doses, wine is a medicine.

The data of some experiments speak in favor of wine, which helps girls get pregnant.

British scientists have proven that wine has a good effect on the development of a child in the womb. The expectant mothers themselves also took up positions on both sides of the barricades.

Can you drink wine during pregnancy?

If the opinion that alcohol causes irreversible consequences in the development of the fetus is firmly rooted in the brain of the expectant mother, then she does not need to drink wine drinks during pregnancy. If there are no experiences, then a sip of good wine will do her good. In an interesting situation, it is better to give preference to expensive varieties of high-quality dry red wine or Cahors. One spoonful of such wine will raise the level of hemoglobin in the blood of the expectant mother. For some girls, wine often helps to stimulate appetite and becomes a good helper in the fight against toxicosis.

If there is a strong desire to drink wine, a pregnant woman should take only one sip.

Scientists in England observed children whose mothers allowed themselves some wine during pregnancy. These children in their development (sociability, knowledge of numbers, letters and colors) were significantly ahead of their peers, whose mothers completely abandoned alcohol during pregnancy. The same scientists believe that a pregnant girl can drink no more than six glasses of liquor or wine per week, as well as no more than three liters of beer for seven days.

If the girls drank a lot of alcohol, their children were born with a number of deviations. Doctors agree that you should not drink any alcohol until the seventeenth week of pregnancy.

Is it possible to have a glass of wine during pregnancy?

Whether a glass of wine will harm a girl's health is a difficult question. The above studies of English scientists are doubtful for many. Since there have been no domestic studies on the negative effect of wine on the development of a baby, it is impossible to speak unambiguously about the negative effect of this drink.

Medical practice suggests that alcohol can have a negative impact on the baby's body both at the beginning of the "interesting situation" and in the last stages.

A glass of wine is a big dose. In the case of determining the safety of taking an alcoholic beverage, you need to correctly understand the proportions and frequency of use.

A portion of alcohol is usually understood as a volume in which the content of ethyl alcohol does not exceed 10 ml. Alcohol percentage data is always listed on beverage bottles. Most often, wine contains 12%. Volume 125ml \ 150ml includes more than one serving of alcohol (1.52).

Doctors advise pregnant girls to eat no more than one or two servings. Frequency of use: 1-2 times a week. It is worth taking into account that it is very easy to exaggerate the allowable rate at home, and in restaurants and other establishments, wines are poured into glasses that can contain up to three servings of alcohol.

The use of wine drinks in the early stages

The composition of alcohol includes toxins that through the placenta freely droop into the tissues of the unborn baby. Alcohol can adversely affect the development of the child's brain and organs. The result of the harmful effects of alcohol are also congenital facial anomalies, problems with coordination of movement, and learning difficulties.

Baby organs are especially vulnerable to alcohol in the early stages of pregnancy. Alcohol is able to be absorbed into the tissues and organs of the child and leads to alcohol syndrome. The risks are increased with regular drinking of alcoholic beverages during pregnancy planning, conception and childbearing. As a result, children have mental and physical retardation, neurological problems and impaired concentration.

Obstetricians advise pregnant women to drink wine after the 17th week of the “interesting position”. And only when the girl is not able to cope with the desire to “sip” that has washed over her.

Drinking dry wine during pregnancy

Not only the alcohol contained in wine, but also its decay products processed in the mother's body can negatively affect the fetus. Alcohol causes spasms in the vessels of the umbilical cord and / or placenta. The result is a lack of nutrients and oxygen.

A girl can “pull for wine” when the body lacks B vitamins. In this case, it is better to give preference to red wine. White during pregnancy is not the best option. It is worth remembering that it can dilate blood vessels, and this can lead to dizziness and general weakness.

Each organism is individual, therefore, in case of an irresistible desire to drink, you need to concentrate on choosing a really high-quality and, desirable, proven high-quality product.

Red wine during pregnancy

It is a well-known fact that in Soviet times dry red wine was an integral part of the diet for pregnant women. Such varieties have a good effect on blood formation in the body and remove toxins. Good red wine contains useful minerals and vitamins of groups B and P, which significantly reduce the risk of blood clots.

Cahors or any red wine can be drunk after the 17th week of the "interesting position" if:

  1. High quality drink, without impurities: quinine, sugar, dyes, various artificial additives, etc.
  2. Portion - no more than 100 ml.

If a pregnant girl has a problem with low hemoglobin in the blood, she can also resort to the help of wine, which has a high concentration of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, selenium, as well as biologically active substances. But there is a possibility of increasing hemoglobin and non-alcoholic foods. These include liver, beef, parsley, buckwheat, bananas, rose hips and pomegranate juice. These same products are indicated for the treatment and prevention of diseases such as anemia.

Dry red wine during pregnancy

Eating dry red wine during pregnancy is not only possible, but also beneficial. Especially for those girls who have elevated hemoglobin, there is no appetite and toxicosis pesters. Many researchers believe that red wine has a good effect on the heart and helps to cope with insomnia. It is permissible to include in the diet one spoonful of an alcoholic drink or 100 ml of non-alcoholic wine.

Homemade wine during pregnancy

Wine that has been prepared at home is a healing product with a small dose of alcohol.

But pregnant girls should not abuse this drink and drink wine for nine months. Such fanaticism is fraught with the appearance of all kinds of malformations and developmental defects in the baby. Alcohol is not a rare cause of miscarriage.

It also has a bad effect on the cellular genetic structure of the embryo, changes the structure of DNA and thereby causes the appearance of congenital deformity.

Non-alcoholic wine and pregnancy

A good alternative solution to an alcoholic grape drink during the "interesting position" can be non-alcoholic wine. In it, the alcohol content does not exceed 0.5% (the same amount is found in kefir).

Non-alcoholic wine goes through the standard stages of production, but before being bottled, it is purified from ethyl alcohol. All vitamins, various microelements and organic acids, as well as enzymes are preserved in the drink. Non-alcoholic wine during pregnancy is considered a healing drink.

Doctors prescribe it when:

  • there are diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the cause of which was low acidity;
  • diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver;
  • a pregnant woman has a state of asthenia (chronic fatigue);
  • there are problems with hypertension.

Non-alcoholic wine can improve appetite. It does not cause cholesterol oxidation, which causes a decrease in pressure. Wine without alcohol will help digest meat proteins. At the same time, it contains two to three times fewer calories.

You need to be careful with non-alcoholic wine due to several factors:

  • it may contain chemicals and various harmful substances that will have a negative impact on the body of the mother and child;
  • perhaps the appearance of allergic reactions due to mold or sulfur contained in the wine;
  • it has an aging period that is much shorter than that of wine containing alcohol;
  • such wine is not cheap and therefore not accessible to everyone. The market is filled with many cheap fakes.

To include wine in the diet during pregnancy or not - only the expectant mother herself can decide. When making a decision, you should rely on the recommendations of doctors and the individual characteristics of the body.

If the thought arises of the possibility of harming the baby, it is better not to take risks and not drink alcohol for all 9 months.

During the period of gestation, a woman tries to protect herself and her child as much as possible. Pregnant women eat only wholesome food, lead a healthy lifestyle, do not drink alcohol. As for the latter, doctors argue about whether pregnancy harms a woman and a child. People have known about the bad effect of alcohol on the body since childhood, but there are pregnant women who want to take at least a sip of an alcoholic drink.

Is it possible to drink wine during pregnancy

Based on medical practice, we can conclude that alcohol negatively affects the development of the child at any stage of pregnancy.

At the same time, doctors say that a pregnant woman, having consumed a little wine, can stimulate her appetite and more easily cope with nausea. But it is advisable to prefer an expensive, good variety of this drink (red dry is best). It is better not to risk and refrain from drinking wine, but if a woman wants, she can take just one sip to satisfy this desire.

If a girl drank more during pregnancy, then her child can be born with many diseases and abnormalities, there is a high probability of miscarriage.

The benefits and harms of alcohol

You can talk about the dangers of alcohol, especially for pregnant women, for a long time. Its active and frequent use contributes to the destruction of brain cells, impairs the functioning of internal organs and, as a result, can lead to death. As for the moderate consumption of red wine by pregnant women, scientists have proven that it can contribute to the proper development of the fetus.

It has been officially proven that the children of those mothers who completely abandoned alcohol during their pregnancy developed more slowly, in contrast to those whose mothers could afford a sip of wine while carrying an unborn child.

Norms of use

Even in the 21st century, talking about the benefits or harms of wine for pregnant women is difficult, because no one has yet done enough research. However, doctors can confidently declare the existence of a norm for the consumption of alcoholic beverages by pregnant women.

Given the recommendations of scientists, a pregnant woman can afford to drink from 3 to 6 glasses of wine, from 3 to 6 glasses and from 1.5 to 3 liters of beer per week. Children whose mothers drank more than the norm of alcohol while pregnant have a number of problems and diseases. The girl must remember that even in the early stages (up to 12 weeks) it is strictly forbidden and dangerous.

Which wine is preferred

Which drink is better is of interest to many. 20-30 years ago, during pregnancy, they were recommended to our mothers and grandmothers who needed a diet. At the same time, it was important that the type of wine was good, it did not contain harmful, toxic additives, dyes, and so on. Also, a pregnant girl could drink no more than one serving (up to 100 ml).

Dry red is advised to girls with high hemoglobin. This wine affects blood circulation and the heart, helps with insomnia.

As for other wines, white varieties are not recommended for women in an “interesting position”, although it is weaker than red. Homemade wine can also be helpful in small doses. This product will turn out to be even more useful than the store one, because you know exactly how you got it, what is included in the composition.

There are no chemicals and all kinds of impurities in homemade alcohol. Such a drink contributes to the normalization of sleep, enriches the body with vitamins and trace elements. But do not forget about the permissible rate of wine intake, 100 ml and no more, otherwise you can harm the fetus, which is still highly susceptible to alcohol.

Many pregnant women are also interested in non-alcoholic wine as an alternative to an alcoholic drink. But such wines should also be chosen carefully, because they often contain chemicals, poisons that negatively affect the unborn child. This product can cause allergies in both mother and fetus. Beware of cheap fakes and low-quality varieties, surrogates.

But such wine should not be abused. As for alcoholic beverages, remember that its use is addictive not only for women, but also for unborn children.

The influence of alcohol on different trimesters of pregnancy

Many girls worry that they drank alcohol in the first days of pregnancy because they did not know about their situation. But this is not a reason to worry, because at the stage of conception and the next few days, the child is not threatened by alcoholic beverages. In the first two weeks, the placenta has not yet formed and the fetus cannot receive moderate doses of alcohol from the mother. But if you continued to use after 2 weeks from the moment of conception, then you should tell your doctor about it.

During the first trimester, the embryo is just being formed, the cells of the fetus are rapidly dividing and multiplying. At this stage, alcohol will harm all the processes of the formation of the child. In the first trimester, all kinds of defects, diseases and disorders are laid in the child's body, which will soon lead to terrible consequences in development.

During the second trimester of pregnancy, the child's body grows, and drinking alcohol by the mother slows down this process. In addition, it increases the likelihood of miscarriage.

The last trimester is necessary for the development of all organs of the child. If a mother drinks more than prescribed by the medical norm, then she is more likely to lose the fetus, stillbirth may occur, or the child will remain disabled.

This type of disability is called fetal syndrome. It manifests itself in impaired development of the limbs, deviations in height, weight, and the structure of the child's face. It is also possible the presence of deviations in the psyche and further development.

Remember that the child's life is in your hands, and only you can decide what his future will be. The choice is yours whether to drink alcohol while the baby is developing or not.
