Product appearance
Peeled dry brewer's yeast "Evisent" is produced in tablets with a diameter of 12 mm, flat, with a chamfer and a risk, or a biconvex shape, packed in a blister pack (blister). One blister may contain 10 or 30 tablets. The color of tableted yeast can vary from light cream and yellowish to light brown. Moreover, a different shade of tablets can be noticeable within even one blister. In tablets, marbling is allowed (variegation of tablets with inclusions of a different color observed in them), which is not a criterion of poor quality. The difference in the color of the product is due to the fact that dry brewer's yeast is produced from natural raw materials, which have a different color (for example, depending on whether dark or light beer was obtained from yeast, and similar factors).

The result of a metabolic imbalance tends to appear on the skin, for example, in the form of acne. Yeast extract has a number of properties that effectively affect the normalization of metabolism, digestion and the functioning of the pancreas.

Acne is often the result of a lack of vitamins and amino acids in the body. Their groups, which are part of the autolysate, help make up for their deficiency. One such supplement is brewer's yeast with selenium.

The appearance of acne can be associated with a weakened immune system, as well as intoxication of the body. Regular courses of yeast extract containing B1 and other vitamin supplements are beneficial not only in the treatment of acne, but also in maintaining youthful skin.

Produced forms

On sale are brewer's yeast in tablet form and in the form of a dry powder.

Tablets usually have a brown tint, a slightly bitter taste and a characteristic yeasty odor. Each autolysate manufacturer produces vials containing a certain number of uncoated tablets (60 - 100 pcs.).

A powdered dietary supplement is a loose mass of small granules or flakes. Has a gray or yellowish color. It is distinguished by a specific smell characteristic of yeast products. Sachets or jars of powder are produced in various weights (from 25 to 100 g of extract)

Yeast is available in liquid form. This product is not widely used due to inconvenient use. The bioadditive is stored, as a rule, no more than a week.

What is the difference between autolyzed yeast and raw yeast?

Brewer's yeast is divided into two categories: raw and autolysate.

  • Raw yeast is a product that is not easy to digest. People suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, as well as those who are prone to various allergic manifestations, can get serious side effects and even harm from their consumption. This is due to the fact that yeast fungi, unlike autolysate, provoke quite strong reactions of the body. In addition, the difficult process of digestion does not lead to the normal absorption of minerals and amino acids.
  • Autolyzed yeast is what is commonly available commercially, ie. most dietary supplements. The use of autolysate provides many benefits to the human body, due to its easy digestibility and simplified digestion process. Unlike raw yeast, the extract does not cause bloating or fermentation in the intestines.

Useful substances in autolyzed yeast

Commercially available tablets and powders, although they undergo the process of destruction of yeast fungi, as a result contain a composition of useful microelements identical to a live culture and retain their properties.

The set of vitamins present in the autolysate is characterized by easy and relatively fast absorption. In addition, many dry yeast produced today receive vitamin supplements in their composition. Among the biologically active additives are:

  • Brewer's yeast with calcium. It is recommended as a remedy that strengthens the entire body. Yeast extract, together with calcium, has a positive effect on the immune system and serves as an additional source of Ca.
  • Brewer's yeast with magnesium increases the body's resistance to stressful situations. Maintain mental activity at the proper level.
  • Brewer's yeast with sulfur. Extract Great for treating acne.
  • Brewer's yeast with selenium is a good remedy for preventing acne. It is recommended to use them as a means of strengthening the body. Brewer's Yeast with Selenium makes up for the lack of Se intake in food, resulting in improved overall well-being.
  • Brewer's yeast D 3. Their use has a beneficial effect on metabolic processes in the body. Brewer's yeast D 3 improves memory and performance. Suitable for the prevention of skin diseases, furunculosis and acne.
  • Brewer's yeast with iron. A good supplement in the treatment or prevention of anemia due to iron deficiency. The result of taking the supplement is an increase in the level of hemoglobin in the blood.
  • Brewer's yeast with zinc. Contribute to the normalization of blood glucose levels. Well proven in the prevention of varicose veins. Helps to regenerate the skin, useful for the prevention of acne.

The best dietary supplements for preserving beauty are presented in the form of brewer's yeast D 3. Their use favorably affects the beauty of women. The result of taking yeast with D3 content can be beautiful skin and the disappearance of acne.

Mode of application

The course of treatment is 30 days. After consultation with the doctor, treatment can be resumed after 1 month.

Tablets are taken orally after a meal. Children's dosages are calculated taking into account the age of the child. The daily dose is recommended to be divided into 2 or 3 doses. Adults and children over 12 years of age can take the supplement in tablets (4 to 6 per day). Reception by children under the age of 7 years should be limited to 1 tablet per day. The daily dose for children from 7 to 12 years old is 2 tablets.

Yeast powder is diluted with clean water, about half a glass. Adults are recommended to drink 2 tsp. per day, children - 1 hour. l. It is also possible to use yeast extract as an additive to hair and face masks.

Each manufacturer of the extract gives its recommendations on the dosage and method of application in the attached instructions.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding

You can use a dietary supplement if the attending physician, having assessed all the risks and benefits, excludes any harm to the woman and the unborn child.

Contraindications

You can not use yeast as a dietary supplement if there are such problems as:

  • Individual intolerance
  • Candidiasis dysbacteriosis
  • hereditary optic nerve depletion
  • Kidney dysfunction
  • Gout.

Precautionary measures

In order not to cause harm, you should not use a dietary supplement to enrich the body of children under 3 years of age with vitamins.

Dry yeast is rich in nucleic acids, which is why it is contraindicated to be taken as a food supplement for the elderly. In this case, the bioadditive will not be useful.

There is a version that yeast extract can harm the body of both men and women. The negative impact on a man is to reduce potency against the background of long-term use of this dietary supplement. This situation is possible if the body, accustomed to receiving amino acids and vitamin groups through dietary supplements, begins to synthesize zinc in minimal quantities. Having finished taking the supplement, a man can observe a change in potency for the worse.

The harm exerted on a woman's body can manifest itself in the form of thrush (candidiasis). Frequent use of yeast affects the development of fungal diseases. If the fungi "settled" in the body, it can be assumed that the unpleasant consequences will appear again, even after their treatment.

The intake of supplements must be agreed with the doctor. Uncontrolled use of the extract can cause unwanted side effects that occur in the body of a man and a woman. In order for the use of the supplement to be beneficial, you need to carefully read the instructions and adhere to the indicated dosage.

Interaction with drugs

Medicines, the action of which is aimed at the destruction of fungal pathogens, reduce the beneficial effect of the use of yeast autolysate.

People who are taking the antiparkinsonian drug Levadopa should forgo a one-time treatment with brewer's yeast to avoid harming themselves. Vitamin B6 contained in the yeast extract tends to adversely affect the result of treatment with Levadopa.

The dosage of brewer's yeast may be increased if the person is being treated with penicillin. While taking oral contraceptives, the daily dose of the supplement should also be increased.

Unwanted Effects

The use of autolysate rarely causes negative side effects. However, in people with a predisposition to allergic reactions, harm can manifest itself in the form of hives and itching of the skin.

Is it possible to overdose

The risk of getting an overdose of the body is minimal. However, this does not mean that dietary supplements can be drunk in any quantities. To avoid harm, you must adhere to the dosage indicated in the instructions.

Terms and conditions of storage

Brewer's yeast tablets should be stored at a temperature not exceeding room temperature. The storage location must not be accessible to children. Humid air and direct sunlight adversely affect brewer's yeast. The storage temperature of the autolysate presented as a powder must not exceed 20°C.

Bioadditive in tablets is subject to storage within 3 years. Yeast powder ceases to be usable after 2 years from the date of production. It is forbidden to drink the supplement after the expiration date.

How to choose vitamins, dietary supplements with maximum benefit? Sometimes the body itself tells what it lacks even without consulting a doctor. The most useful dietary supplements include brewer's yeast with selenium (they are produced with a variety of substances - additives, each of which is designed to solve a specific problem or maintain general health).

I knew about the benefits of brewer's yeast, but I could not decide which supplement to buy them with. I read the instructions for the drug, studied the reviews and realized that to improve the condition of the skin, hair, nails, I need brewer's yeast with selenium.

Such brewer's yeast with selenium can be bought at any pharmacy

In addition to the fact that the remedy, according to reviews, promises to solve my problems with hair, nails and skin, in the description of the drug I found the following information: brewer's yeast with selenium has been successfully used in medicine for several decades to strengthen, cleanse and improve. Dietary supplement has many useful properties, and due to the content of selenium, it is considered one of the best "suppliers" of this substance to the body.

Selenium is an indispensable nutrient, its deficiency is dangerous for the development of many diseases. To protect yourself from the risk of their occurrence, it is enough to use brewer's yeast with selenium.

Positive properties of brewer's yeast with selenium

I read medical articles on this topic, reviews. So, many experts and those who drank them agree that brewer's yeast with selenium is good for health, because:

  • help prevent the formation of free radicals;
  • protect the immune system;
  • support liver function;
  • normalize the functioning of the thyroid gland;
  • beneficial effect on the cardiovascular and nervous systems;
  • enriched with B vitamins;
  • beneficial effect on the skin;
  • improve hair growth, improve their condition;
  • strengthen nails;
  • slow down the aging process, promote rejuvenation.

Such a dietary supplement is the best way to enrich the body with selenium, because this trace element is presented in the most convenient, biologically available, easily digestible form. Often a doctor may advise the use of brewer's yeast with selenium as an immunomodulatory drug to activate antiviral protection.

In addition, preparations with selenium have a beneficial effect on the liver (facilitate the course of acute and chronic diseases), and are a good prevention of tumor processes. What could be easier to maintain beauty and health?

How to use brewer's yeast with selenium

Brewer's yeast enriched with selenium is taken in a course of 30 days, 2 tablets twice a day (for adults). The instructions indicate that a contraindication to the use of such brewer's yeast can only be personal intolerance, an allergy to the brewer's yeast itself or to selenium.

If there are health problems, then it is better to consult a doctor on how to use brewer's yeast with selenium, perhaps a specialist will recommend taking dietary supplements differently, helping to adjust the amount of the drug per course.

My Reviews of Brewer's Yeast with Selenium

This is what brewer's yeast looks like in raw and dry form

I was interested in brewer's yeast, as I said, with the ability to show its antioxidant properties, and I also expected that they would help me solve problems with my face skin, hair and nails. I was pleased with the more than affordable price, because today you can’t buy cheap even the simplest medicine or dietary supplement in a pharmacy.

Before the start of the intake course, the reviews of those who took brewer's yeast with selenium and suddenly gained weight during this time were a little tense. Of course, this did not suit me, but still I decided to take a chance, since there were other reviews from those with whom nothing like this happened - the weight remained the same, and the general condition of the body improved.

So, I drank brewer's yeast with selenium for a month, as it should be at the rate. As thin as she was, she remained so. It's nonsense that you want to eat from brewer's yeast, that they increase your appetite. I didn't even feel anything close to it. I ate as usual, the usual food in the usual mode. I think the problem of those who allegedly recovered from brewer's yeast is something else.

My result: after a month, the complexion improved noticeably, the nails became stronger, they stopped breaking so much. Hair, however, has not changed, but maybe positive changes will be noticeable not so immediately, but after a while. By the way, all the same reviews of people with problem skin say that brewer's yeast is more helpful not with selenium, but with zinc to improve its condition.

In general, it seems to me that in any case, if there is even such a benefit, then brewer's yeast with selenium is worth drinking. Moreover, there are practically no contraindications (if you have health problems, it is better not to take risks, consult a doctor). I add my review to the positive.

Erudite beer lovers are happy to talk about the fact that two or three hundred years ago this drink was considered a cure for many diseases. Doctors recommended beer to fragile urban young ladies to improve their appetite and complexion, to hysterical ladies to calm their nerves, to the wounded in hospitals to restore strength.

Quality beer really contains many useful substances. But in our time, such prescriptions for treatment are not applicable: firstly, it is difficult to find live unfiltered beer without synthetic additives, and secondly, it will not take long to get beer alcoholism with such a medicine. However, scientists have found that brewer's yeast is a real storehouse of vitamins and microelements that are easily digestible by the human body. The use of brewer's yeast for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases, as well as for strengthening the immune system, brings very good results.

Types of brewer's yeast

There are three forms of brewer's yeast on the market:

  • Live (liquid) brewer's yeast. Sold at breweries. The additive in this form has the greatest strength, but there is a significant drawback: liquid yeast can be stored at room temperature for no more than 6–8 hours, and in the refrigerator (at a temperature of +7 to +10 °C). Live brewer's yeast should not be taken with fungal diseases (in particular, with thrush) and with intestinal dysbacteriosis.
  • Dry brewer's yeast in the form of powder or granules is sold in pharmacies. Dry yeast has a much longer shelf life than liquid yeast.
  • Brewer's yeast tablets. In this form, both ordinary dietary supplements (biologically active additives) are produced, without impurities, and enriched with various minerals or vitamins.

Useful properties of brewer's yeast

Brewer's yeast is one of the most effective dietary supplements containing:

  • 14 vitamins: group B (ensure the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system, prevent the occurrence of Parkinson's disease, accelerate cell regeneration, improve vision, slow down the aging process), as well as C, D, E, F, PP;
  • 17 amino acids, most of which are essential;
  • unsaturated fatty acids (arachidonic, oleic and linoleic);
  • potassium, chromium, calcium, selenium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, sodium, sulfur, copper and other trace elements.
  • All vitamins contained in brewer's yeast are water-soluble, therefore they do not accumulate in the body. This supplement significantly improves well-being with beriberi and hypovitaminosis. BAAs based on brewer's yeast are useful for vegetarians to periodically take: these preparations contain folic acid, the source of which for the body is mainly meat food. Folic acid is involved in the process of DNA synthesis during cell division and has a beneficial effect on reproductive function.

The benefits of brewer's yeast are as follows:

  • improve appetite, normalize digestion and metabolism;
  • contribute to the achievement of optimal weight. If body weight is excessive, then due to the acceleration of metabolic processes, you can lose a few extra pounds. People who are underweight, taking yeast, on the contrary, get better. This effect is often used by athletes who want to pump up muscle mass;
  • due to the high content of chromium, they alleviate the condition of patients with type II diabetes;
  • antioxidants present in yeast slow down the aging process;
  • prevent the occurrence and development of liver cancer;
  • soothe with stress, emotional exhaustion, sudden mood swings;
  • restore strength during physical exhaustion, anemia, strengthen immunity;
  • help to endure significant physical and mental stress;
  • normalize the work of the cardiovascular system;
  • maintain an optimal level of acid-base balance in the body;
  • help get rid of youthful acne, rashes, improve the condition of the skin with furunculosis, dermatosis, eczema, psoriasis;
  • strengthen hair and stop hair loss;
  • strengthen nails, make them less brittle.

Contraindications to taking brewer's yeast

Brewer's yeast can only be harmful if you do not follow the instructions and recommendations of the doctor. Taking drugs with brewer's yeast is contraindicated:

  • children under 3 years old;
  • the elderly (dietary supplement contains a large amount of nucleic acid);
  • people with kidney disease;
  • those who are allergic to brewer's yeast.
  • This supplement is not prohibited for pregnant women, but before you start taking it, you should consult a doctor.

Features of taking brewer's yeast in various diseases

Brewer's yeast, unlike beer, does not contain alcohol. Therefore, they are allowed to be taken by children from the age of three.

Live yeast before use is diluted with milk, fruit or vegetable juice, water in the proportion: one tablespoon of the drug for half a glass of liquid.

The medicine is taken 30-40 minutes before meals. For prevention, the following dosage is recommended:

  • for children from 3 to 6 years old, the dosage of the drug should be prescribed by a doctor;
  • for children from 6 to 12 years old - 3 times a day for a teaspoon;
  • for children aged 12-16 years - 3 times a day for a tablespoon;
  • for adults (over 16 years old) - 3 times a day, 2-3 tablespoons.
  • The duration of the course is 30 days, after which you need to take a break for 1-3 months.

In other cases, the regimen of taking the drug depends on the disease:

  • in case of skin problems (acne, rash), as well as beriberi, you should drink at least 2 times a day half an hour before meals a tablespoon of live yeast diluted in milk;
  • with low acidity of the stomach - 3 times a day half an hour before meals, drink 2 tablespoons of yeast diluted in water;

  • with insomnia - for 20 days, drink at night a tablespoon of live yeast mixed with a glass of warm milk. A pinch of ground cardamom is added to the medicine.

The easiest way to dose brewer's yeast in tablets: the regimen is indicated in the instructions. However, it is better to discuss the exact dosage with your doctor.

How to choose the right brewer's yeast enriched with trace elements

To make the benefits of brewer's yeast even more significant, various useful substances are added to them. Knowing why the body needs a particular trace element, you can easily choose the right dietary supplement for yourself:

  • iron prevents the decrease in hemoglobin levels in the blood. Yeast with iron is recommended to drink with anemia;
  • zinc lowers cholesterol levels, has antiviral and antibacterial properties, and also has a beneficial effect on reproductive function. Dietary supplements with zinc are primarily advisable to take for those who plan to conceive a child;
  • magnesium is involved in the process of protein synthesis in the body, this trace element is necessary for the functioning of the heart muscle;
  • succinic acid makes muscles more elastic, helping to endure significant physical exertion;
  • selenium is an immunomodulator that slows down aging and is necessary for the normal functioning of the liver;
  • sulfur strengthens nails and hair, cleanses the skin;
  • calcium prevents the development of osteoporosis, provides bone strength;
  • iodine - supports the immune system, the functioning of the thyroid gland, has a calming effect. First of all, yeast with iodine is needed for those who suffer from constant stress;

The mask is designed to cleanse normal and oily skin, whiten it and smooth out fine wrinkles.
