The effects of overexertion (or simply intense exertion) after unusual physical exertion is a very characteristic indication for Arnica. At the same time, the body can be “as if beaten”, weakness and want to lie down, but the bed seems hard and uncomfortable, and the person is forced to change position all the time.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis). This is a wonderful remedy for wounds, abrasions, scratches, knocked knees, etc. Helps healing, relieves pain, prevents and treats inflammation.

Rus has the most post-injury pain after rest and at the very beginning of movement. After a slight movement, the pain decreases, they usually say about it "dispersed". RUS is usually more indicated with sprains.

Ruta is like a mixture of Rus and Arnica. Worse from motion and overexertion; wants to move, but gets tired quickly. Feeling of stiffness and weakness of the injured joint. Periosteum injuries, deep soft tissue injuries. Useful after eye strain.

In burns with severe burning pain, it is often indicated Kantharis (Cantharis). It can also come in handy for severe sunburns. If the burn is small and the skin is intact, you can make a solution of the medicine and moisten a large area. It is amazing how quickly Cantharis relieves the pain of burns when the symptoms coincide.

Hypericum (Hypericum perfoliatum) is the main medicine for spinal injuries. How to use these medicines

You will need preferably a C30 dilution. If it is not there, but there is C6 or C12, you can use them. However, it should be borne in mind that the lower the dilution, the longer and less brightly it can act. You will probably need to monitor changes more closely after the medication and repeat it more often.

Medicines can be used in dry form or in the form of a solution. Solutions are usually more comfortable in sensations, exacerbate a little faster and less often, but require very subtle careful observations after administration. They are best used if the person tends to pay attention to their symptoms. It is technically easier to take dry balls, and if you are not familiar with the action of homeopathic medicines, it may be better to start with dry doses. Choose the remedy that best suits your symptoms and take 2 scoops.

After taking the medicine, if it fits, you can see one of the following reactions. If, after the remedy, those symptoms that bothered you become weaker and less disturbing, everything is fine, the medicine is suitable, then the most important thing is to wait and not repeat the medicine until the time comes for this. If, after taking the medicine, the disturbing symptoms intensify, this is also good, it means that the medicine is right. With mild injuries, there is usually no severe deterioration. So you can just wait a while - the deterioration will end, and the disturbing symptoms will begin to decrease. Again, do not take the next dose until the effect of the previous one has worn off.

It is necessary to repeat the medicine when the period of improvement after it is over. In this case, there is either a noticeable "stuck" situation, the symptoms obviously do not continue to improve at the same pace, or after improvement there is a return of most of the symptoms. The symptoms usually return in a milder form than before the remedy, however, it must be a noticeable return. Taking dry pellets too often will not speed up the process, quite the contrary, so be mindful of yourself and only take a second dose when the first dose has worn off.

For injuries, in my experience, in most cases, a simplified version of the solution, without intermediate glasses, is sufficient (but you can use them if you know how and want).

You need to take the solution as long as it continues to give a smooth, noticeable improvement. At some point, the body gets "enough" of this drug (or perhaps this dosage of this drug), and instead of the expected improvement, a slight aggravation occurs. At this point, you need to stop taking the medicine, and then usually we will see an improvement for a long time. Concomitant therapy after surgery
When a patient wakes up after anesthesia, he can be supported by applying Nux vomica.

Threatening infectious complications that may develop in the postoperative period do not always require antibiotic treatment. Individuals suffering from allergies, in some cases, can be helped by the complex parenteral use of the following 3 agents, which is justified by clinical experience in everyday practice: Lachesis D12, D4, D15.
Hypericum, Staphisagria, which have anti-neuralgic properties, help relieve pain in the postoperative period.
Bellis perennis (daisy). It works like Arnica, but this remedy is preferred for pain relief: pain from wounds, pain as if crushed; the pain is sometimes relieved by gentle movement. Injury of soft tissues, as well as surgical trauma, bruise of the mammary gland. After eye operations, Zincum, Senega are often tried and tested remedies.

It is used for inflammation of the organ of vision from conjunctivitis to iridokeratitis, with severe photophobia and visual impairment. After operations on the eyes, patients experience light illusions, a sensation of light luminous points, colored circles and light sources. The ratio of zinc to the organ of vision is extremely diverse, but in homeopathy it is also not fully used. After operations on the brain, the use of Hypericum and Helleborus is justified; the latter especially affects postoperative cerebral edema.

After laparotomy, we use, besides Staphisagria (see above), also Bismutum or Collinsonia.

Radiation of pain to the back, which is relieved by extension of the body (like Belladonna). Almost all the phenomena that are often observed after laparotomy are represented in the drug picture of Bismutum: severe nausea, white coating on the tongue, its swelling. Unpleasant bitter taste in the mouth, sometimes salivation; eructation of air, rotten; retching, vomiting of bile immediately after eating or drinking. Severe pain in the abdomen, burning, pressing. After vomiting, severe weakness up to collapse. Usage: C6(D12) and higher potency tablets.
(Canadian Collinsonia). It has an effect on venous stasis in the pelvic organs with postoperative constipation, and sometimes with hemorrhoids. This is evidenced by the symptoms of checking the action of the drug: a feeling of enlargement or swelling of the rectum, stabbing (like a needle) pain, tenesmus. Sunstroke
Treatment of sunstroke victims is almost always emergency treatment. The homeopathic physician must select the appropriate remedy based on the few obvious indications. In the initial stage, we choose Belladonna or Glonoinum. Apis is the remedy of choice for meningeal symptoms.

The pathogenesis of Ruta is characterized by redness of the eyes, but without headache. The pain is felt in the eyeballs and radiates more often to the left temple. The following review guides the doctor in choosing medicines depending on the degree of burn. Erythema, bladder and gangrene - I, II, III degrees of burn, respectively - are clearly delimited phases, which correspond to certain drugs in phenomenological similarity.
Most of the remedies have already been mentioned in the previous section, so I will focus only on Urtica and Arsenicum album.

Stretching
Lumbago (lumbago), discopathy. In these conditions, Rhus toxicodendron should be used, which is often supplemented with Bryonia or Nux vomica.

Joint injury
For acute sprains, two remedies known to us are used: Arnica and Rhus toxicodendron.
If people with connective tissue laxity have frequent recurrences of sprains or dislocations, consideration should be given to a remedy that acts against the constitutional weakness.
. Flaccid joints and muscles, as a result of which there is a tendency to sprain and dislocation. Fearful, indecisive, but diplomatic people who always benefit for themselves. Breast injury
For the consequences of bruising or compression of the mammary gland, we use Beilis perennis or Conium maculatum. In those cases where there is hemorrhage, but the mammary gland remains soft, Beilis perennis is indicated. A typical sign of Conium maculatum is induration.

Hypericum is a remedy for injuries to nerves or tissues rich in nerve endings. Indications for use: finger bruises; pain in the postoperative period caused by nerve damage during surgery; pain in the jaw due to damage to the mandibular nerve during anesthesia during dental interventions; phantom pain after high amputations; here sometimes it is possible to note a favorable reaction.
With the same indications, we also think of Causticum, with its "rough and wounded" sensations, or Phosphor, with its burning sensations. For pain along the course of the nerve, the use of Allium sulfur is indicated.
. Neuralgic pain after wounds and amputations. Phantom pain. The pain spreads along the damaged nerve, it is “thin”, pulling. An important remedy in the treatment of coryza with irritating watery discharge, violent sneezing, pain in the forehead. Pain and coryza ameliorated in open, cool air, aggravated indoors. Treatment of shock after injury requires prompt action. An ambulance station is not always nearby, so the homeopath must be familiar with a number of emergency aids.
After haemorrhages and loss of blood, Arnica is often indicated. In collapse and convulsions, Camphora is indicated.

Spinal injury
When the spine is injured, both bones and nervous tissue (spinal cord, nerve roots) are damaged. If it is predominantly the nervous system that is affected, Hypericum should be used; with subsequent urinary retention (but not due to transverse paralysis!) -. If the pain is predominantly localized in the cervical spine, i.e., the consequences of its sling injury, then along with the Mezereum, Lachnanthes is also available.

Wounds with smooth edges
Surgical wounds, incised wounds, postoperative pain and condition after laparotomy are indications for the use of Staphisagria.
Surface defects
Abrasions, lacerations, abrasions or ulcerations - indications for use. It is prescribed orally in a solution of D2, DZ, as well as in the form of ointments, powders (powders) and solutions (1 teaspoon per 1 cup of water). Note: in hot countries, if possible, dressings with ointments should not be used, but rather powders or often moistened dressings.

Stab wounds caused by a needle, a nail, penetrating stab wounds of the hand and foot, as well as point injuries from insect and animal bites, which are characterized by severe swelling around the wound, stitching pain, unpleasant sensation from cold compresses, are cured by Apis. Splinter damage
These foreign bodies do not penetrate deeply, but affect tissues rich in blood vessels and nerves, and therefore especially sensitive. The first remedy for this is Hypericum.
Glass splinters (glass splinters) often cause suppuration; even if they get under the nails, they respond well to Silicea.
Silicea. The drug promotes the removal of foreign bodies. It is especially indicated for chilly patients with a decrease in protective forces, in which even small wounds fester for a long time, as well as with a tendency to form purulent fistulas. Infected wounds deserve special attention due to the need to protect patients from possible complications and themselves from legal liability. In accordance with the rules of our school, in the first phase of inflammation (hyperemia, hyperthermia, throbbing pain), we prescribe Belladonna, and in threatening suppuration, Hepar sulfuris.
Thanks to this drug, the body's defenses in the fight against infection increase. Chilliness and lack of resistance to purulent infection are typical of these patients (like Silicea). Application: in threatening suppuration according to method II for drug accumulation. With superficial suppuration, the drug is prescribed in potency C6 (D12) 2 times a day, 1 tablet.
If there is a threat of infection or the appearance of a bluish-red color of the tissues around the wound, Lachesis is prescribed in the C6 (D12) potency intravenously. If the condition becomes critical, and penicillin cannot be used, then 3 drugs are prescribed simultaneously: Echinacea, Lachesis, Pyrogenium, which is described in the section "Operational trauma". In the transformation of the wound into an ulcer with fetid pus and a blackish coloration of the edges of the ulcer, Arsenicum album is indicated.

You can stretch the muscle, tendon and ligaments, stretching the ankle that connects the bones at the joints. These injuries can be caused by jerking, sharp twisting or twisting of the limb when its tissues cannot withstand the stress and are damaged. Sprains often occur during falls and sports. The ligaments surrounding the joints of the fingers and the spine are also stretched.
To avoid such injuries, look under your feet, choose the right shoes, warm up and stretch your muscles before intense exercise, cool down gradually and stretch them again after exercise.

• Apply a cold compress to the sprained area several times a day for 10 minutes. Alternate with hot. Apply an elastic bandage. If the sensitivity and color of the skin does not recover after a few minutes, consult a doctor.
• Elevate the stretched body part to reduce swelling.
• Let the affected area rest for 48 hours. Then gradually start moving.
• The stretched area needs rest, ice (or a cold compress), a tight bandage, and a higher position.

Food

• Add turmeric to your food. It is a strong anti-inflammatory agent.
• Eat pineapple. They contain bromelain, an enzyme that helps reduce inflammation, as well as foods rich in calcium and magnesium.

Phytotherapy

• To speed up healing, apply comfrey or arnica ointment before dressing. Do not apply it on open wounds.
• To relieve inflammation, use an infusion or supplement from the Indian plant Boswellia.

Homeopathy

• Arnica: Apply immediately after an injury.
• Rhus toxicodendron: in severe sprain, when the pain is relieved by moving a little.

When to See a Doctor

• Symptoms are very severe or there is no improvement for two or three days.
• Seek immediate medical attention if the sprained part has become unnatural and/or cannot be moved.
