Each animal needs its own corner, where no one will disturb it, and the dog is no exception. Sleeping on the floor, in a plastic box or on a hard bedding is not at all a joy for a pet. Why not make your own dog bed? Let's try this master class! In the article, we will look at the types of beds and two step-by-step instructions for creating a bed for dogs.

What are there?

Before we start designing a "bed" for your pet, let's take a look at the types of beds and what material they are made of. The choice depends only on the size and breed of the pet. So, if the dog has long hair, then the plastic version will do. This is one of the most popular products.

Why is that? Plastic is easier to clean from dog hair, and besides, this material is non-toxic. The sunbed comes with strong supports on which it stands steadily. Pillows made of cotton are certainly offered for plastic models.

House-shaped loungers of various sizes are a great option for quiet dogs who tend to be alone. They are made from soft and hard materials. We can safely say that this is a kind of shelter for a four-legged friend, which you will equip to your liking.

If a plastic lounger seems unattractive, pay attention to other options - for example, wicker beds. Both large and small, they are suitable for dogs of all breeds and characters. Pets are offered open and closed models.

It is easy to guess that dog beds with an open top will be received with a bang by sociable pets who love to be in the spotlight. Well, less "sociable" animals will be happy with closed beds in which no one will disturb them. In addition, they are made from natural materials, unlike plastic, which is only for the benefit of the dog.

If you want to pamper your pet with an original gift, choose a dog sofa with a removable cover or just comfortable pillows. This masterpiece of high-end dog furniture will perfectly fit into the interior and will be to the taste of the pet.

If the pet is small, a small bed of any type is suitable for him - plastic, plush, fur. It all depends solely on your preferences. Large dog? Then you also have plenty to choose from. For example, here is such a wonderful product, as in the photo.

We sew a couch

Having decided on what sleeping places for dogs are, let's try to do something similar. We offer an elementary version of a fabric model that can be easily sewn even by an inexperienced craftsman.

Tools and materials

To sew a sunbed large or small size, you will need:

  • the fabric from which you will make the product (velor, plush, an old fur coat or tight jeans);
  • filler (it can be silicone, foam rubber, dry sawdust, etc.);
  • a large sheet for creating a pattern;
  • material for a pillowcase or cover that you will wash periodically (for example, cotton);
  • threads;
  • needles;
  • scissors.

A simple cushion bed

Even a novice master will cope with such a model!

  1. First, we measure the pet, because the product is intended for him. To do this, wait until the dog lies down with its legs stretched out and take measurements.
  2. When there are concrete figures, we proceed to action. Your task is to draw a pattern on thick paper.
  3. Having done this, we cut out paper fragments of the future couch (as a rule, these are two large circles or rectangles).
  4. Now we draw the contours of the details of the lounger on the fabric and cut it out.
  5. We sew the fragments, leaving a small place through which we will fill the product with foam rubber or any stocked filler.
  6. It remains to sew up the hole with tight threads, and the sleeping place for the pet is ready.
  7. By increasing the pattern by 2-3 cm on each side, you can sew a removable pillowcase according to this principle. But do not sew up the hole, but provide a fastener from buttons, buttons or zippers.

Bed with sides

If you want to give your pet a couch with sides, then the pattern will be different. A master class on how to make a cozy sleeping corner for a pet.

Pattern sunbed with sides

  1. Take a voluminous piece of fabric.
  2. Now let's draw a large rectangle or circle with sides, as shown in the figure.
  3. We apply the detail to the material and cut out two fragments of the future couch, cutting off the corners along the way.
  4. We sew the resulting pieces and put a soft filler into the future bottom of the product.
  5. We sew it up, after which we fill the sides.
  6. We strengthen the resulting sunbed with zippers or lacing. This is convenient: when it's hot, the sides can be lowered and the bed will turn into a comfortable mattress. It is desirable to have a removable cover for it, so that the product does not get dirty.

How to make a couch from an old sweater?

Do you have a blouse that you are going to throw away? Take your time, if you are a jack of all trades, the old sweater will take on a new life. It is easy to make a cute bed for a pet out of fabric - just a little effort. How is it sewn? We offer a master class with guides to action.

Tools and materials

To create this piece of dog "furniture" you will need:

  • old sweater;
  • threads;
  • needles;
  • scissors;
  • two unnecessary pillows.

Step-by-step instruction

  1. Pull the "insides" out of the pillow.
  2. Cut off the neck of the sweater if it is high, or just sew it up if the blouse is without a collar.
  3. Next, sew the product from one sleeve to another.
  4. The next step to be done is to insert the pillow inside the jacket and darn the bottom.
  5. Push the soft “insides” that were pulled out from another pillow into the “arc” formed from the sleeves.
  6. We admire the resulting product, which you sewed yourself.

Separately, you can make a removable cover to wash it. The pet will be more comfortable in the new bed. We hope you enjoyed the tutorial. You need to find some time and give your pet a gift.

Video "Pleasant surprise"

Sorry, there are currently no surveys available.

When starting a dog in the house, the owner must create comfortable living conditions for her. Therefore, in the apartment you will have to allocate a corner where his pet can relax and sleep so that no one bothers her.

If the cat is not attached to a certain place in the house, then the dogs need individual space. Therefore, if the owner wants to take proper care of his pet, then he should think about making a dog bed.

Options for organizing a place for a dog

The choice of devices for sleeping and resting a dog today is quite large. They differ not only in design, but also in the level of comfort, which, in turn, determines their final cost. However, your pet will not always be happy to receive such a present.

After all, each animal has its own tastes, so it is not known whether she will be happy with a sunbed or you will waste your money. Therefore, you should not buy a sunbed for an animal in a store, which will first catch your eye.

It's best if you make it yourself, but here you have to solve a lot of questions. First of all, you need to think about the size of the bed.

It is not easy to pick them up, given that in the process of using it, the dog can change its shape, and then it will not receive the comfort that you put into this device during manufacture.

If we consider the sunbeds available today based on the price, then the choice will be determined depending on your financial capabilities. If you are ready to demonstrate all your generosity towards your pet, you can purchase a bed decorated with natural furs and stones.

However, keep in mind that the dog will not appreciate such a step, because for him there will be the best bed that provides the highest level of comfort. This is another reason why many owners decide to make this device with their own hands.

Types of patterns and beds for dogs

Dog beds can be very diverse, because in each case they are intended for a specific dog. Depending on this, the following options for beds can be distinguished:

  1. In shape - round, oval, rectangular or other shapes.
  2. By filling - soft, filled with padding polyester or plastic.
  3. By appointment - for sleep and active recreation.
  4. According to the level of rigidity - frameless (in the form of a pillow or mattress), framed (have a rigid base covered with soft fabric).
  5. By the amount of light - open and closed.

Dog features

Before you start making a bed, you should remember how your pet likes to relax. Among the famous breeds of dogs there are those that sleep in a ball. Therefore, it is best to make sunbeds for such animals. oval or round shape.

Some animals stretch their legs forward in a dream, so it is best for them to do rectangular bed, because in the oval she will feel cramped. At the same time, there are many lovers of closed sunbeds among dogs.

In it, she will feel protected, so nothing will disturb her during the rest. However, this feature is typical for small dog breeds, for which comfort is especially important.

In addition to the above, there are a lot of other dog beds, however, you will bring maximum pleasure to your pet if you make him a cozy place to relax with your own hands.

Advantages of a homemade sunbed-house

If you want a homemade sunbed-house to turn out exactly the way you intended it from the very beginning, then you need to carefully prepare for work.

Remember that making a sunbed is a painstaking work that will require enough time and effort. However, if you show patience and scrupulousness at each stage, then you will be satisfied with the result.

  • having made a bed-house of suitable sizes, you will be sure that your dog, when it grows up, will also not feel cramped in its place;
  • if you use fabric that is not prone to the accumulation of static electricity for the bed-house, then “sparks” will not arise from your dog when you want to touch it;
  • it is necessary to choose the shape of the bed, focusing on the preferences of the animal or physiology;
  • in order for the sunbed-house to be not only practical, but also beautiful, it is necessary to choose its color and shape, taking into account the design of the house.

But the most important thing here is that you will allow your dog to feel all the warmth and love with which you made this bed-house. All the energy of love, care and affection will be transferred to the dog if you try very hard, paying attention to every little thing.

If you want everything to turn out this way, then we pick up a pencil or pen and start doing business.

Where to start manufacturing

First of all, you need to prepare the materials that we will need during work:

Even before creating a pattern, you must determine the length of the animal. The dog should only be measured when it is lying on the floor with its paws fully extended.

If you are making a bed for a puppy that grows very rapidly every year, then after obtaining the dimensions of the pattern, you need to add half length animal or simply focus on the current height of the dog.

Patterns of beds for dogs

In order to avoid difficulties in the manufacture of a do-it-yourself dog house from improvised materials, it is recommended prepare the pattern first, thanks to which the process itself will be much easier.

When creating a pattern, pay attention to its shape, since a lot depends on it, and first of all, convenience.

To create a suitable pattern, you will need to draw a future version on paper, and then evaluate it to understand whether the animal will be comfortable on such a bed. If the option suits you, then you need it transfer to the wrong side of the fabric, after which you can start cutting it.

Do-it-yourself dog bed: master class

As the material for the bottom, it is best to use foam rubber. In this case, the manufacturing process of the simplest sunbed design will look like this:

If you keep a fairly large dog in the house, then in addition to the sunbed you will have to make an additional pillow. To make it comfortable for your pet to rest on it, you can use the bottom of the lounger as a template for a pattern, and any material you have available as a filler.

But keep in mind that filler must be safe for the health of the animal and the owner, do not cause allergic reactions.

If your pet has its own preferences, then you can give the couch the desired shape. However, not all dog owners are good designers, so if you don’t have any options in your head, then you can use ready-made dog bed patterns.

You can find them on various Internet resources, where, as a rule, a master class on making a couch is also available to everyone. After that, you just have to copy the pattern and make a bed for your pet using it.

Big dog - big bed

Many dog owners often keep large animals in the house. In this case, making a sunbed for them will become more burdensome. After all, it will have to use more materials and forces.

It is usually made from wood, since wood is optimal in terms of safety material for dogs. On such a couch they will feel most comfortable, they will not be bothered by allergies.

At the same time, this device will cope with its main task - it will provide good support for the dog's body.

Even if you do not have skills in sewing, then even in this case you can sew a comfortable dog bed from improvised materials with your own hands. It is not worth abandoning this idea, citing the lack of necessary knowledge as an argument.

This is a task that even beginners can do. Having become acquainted with the main stages of making a dog bed, it becomes clear how easy it is to implement.

If necessary, you can use unnecessary materials and improvised means for the sunbed. You just need to remember that they must be safe for your pet.

In order for your dog to thank you for your work, try to do for him most comfortable bed that will bring maximum enjoyment to your pet. In principle, this is not such a difficult task, because it takes no more than two to three hours to make a beautiful bed-house for dogs.

If you decide to make a bed with your own hands, then you will thereby demonstrate what strong feelings you have for the dog. This work can be done in winter, when many owners have a lot of free time. And when all the actions are completed, you can see for yourself how happy your pet will be after receiving such a gift.

Since the appearance of a dog in the house, the owner has many worries. In addition to regular walks and grooming, the owner must take care of creating in the house special corner where his pet can rest and sleep in comfortable conditions.

Those owners who truly love their pet will spare no time and effort to make a good and comfortable dog bed. Of course, you can do it easier and buy a ready-made bed, however, you can not always expect that it will fit the animal in size.

Therefore, it is better if you make a sunbed yourself. This option seems to be preferable because you are more aware of the characteristics of your pet, for example, how he sleeps.

Therefore, it will certainly not be difficult for you to make such a bed on which your dog will feel comfortable even after a couple of years. Particular attention needs to be paid bed filler, since comfort largely depends on it.

And if you are afraid that nothing will work out for you, you just need to watch a master class on making a sunbed to understand how easy it is.

This is the bed I got. As they say, "I blinded him from what was." I only used what was available. Didn't spend a dime. There are many ideas on the Internet on how to sew a dog bed. All of them give specific patterns, but I like to compose from what is available.

I did not photograph the source materials, I will tell you this. Furniture foam rubber 2 cm thick, a long piece of foam rubber 5 cm thick, fabric from a large sofa cushion, well, we select the fabric for the side by color.

We cut out the base of the lounger from the foam rubber, I have an irregular oval which is more rounded on one side and more rectangular on the other. It really doesn't matter, do whatever you like. Now, applying the foam rubber to the fabric, we make a pattern, do not forget to add a couple more centimeters to the thickness of the foam rubber, then it will be easier to sew later. We sew, turn inside out, put the foam rubber in and sew up the hole through which the foam rubber was inserted.

Here is a view from one side and the other.

how to make a dog bed

Now we sew the side. It is necessary to cut to the width of the foam, plus the thickness of the foam, plus another 3-4 cm.

I still have a roller sewn to the side, which at one time adorned the pillow. It’s beautiful and it’s a pity to throw it away, so I put it into the process. It is possible without it. Yes, I also sewed a side in the middle.

Now the most difficult part begins, we sew the side to the bottom. Since I don’t have enough rim for the entire circumference of the bottom, so we are looking for the middle at the rim and at the bottom. And we start stitching from the middle in a circle. Then the second part. We do this so that everything is symmetrical.

Now you will understand why we added another 3 cm. We attach the side to the side of the bottom that will lie on the floor, sew it on, pushing the foam rubber inside. It is hard to hold, but we sew and are not afraid.

That's how it turned out, now we turn it out and the whole seam remains inside.

You can already leave it like that, but it's kind of boring. Let's keep writing.

Here, from the same pillow, there are two such pieces left.

We put them on another piece of fabric and sew, do not sew the bottom. Cut out, turn inside out, stuff with padding polyester. We sew along so that the synthetic winterizer does not stray.

We sew them to the side.

The side is a little wider, since there is a supply of fabric for the thickness of the foam rubber, so we will tidy it up at the end.

Now we sew them to the bottom.

There are pieces of the roller left, we'll think about how best to remove them.

how to make a dog bed

I liked the second option more, we fix the ends inside.

From the remains of this roller we will make a pigtail-toy for the dog.

I'll have to add a pillow here.

“It’s a dog, what difference does it make to her what to sleep on ?!” - consider those who are then surprised that the pet, at every opportunity, jumps into the bed of its owners. Choose the right bedding, and you won't have to puzzle over why the dog won't move into place.

Important little things

A lounger or bedding is both a personal space in the house, and a corner for solitude, and a mandatory attribute during the educational process.

When choosing a bedding or lounger, pay special attention to fabrics and fillers. They must be resistant to wear, wash well, dry quickly and regain their shape.

The best option would be: matting for furniture, flock, velveteen. If the label shows information about the results of the Martindale test (shows how resistant fabrics are to external influences), then choose a material with an indicator above 35 thousand.

Natural fabrics (for example, thin cotton) are good and environmentally friendly, but they quickly become thinner and lose their appearance.

Synthetics last longer. But wool sticks to the upholstery. The same "sin" plush and faux fur.

Of the fillers, you should choose holofiber. It has a lot of advantages:

A good filler is foam rubber (grades 35-45), which is used for furniture. Coconut fiber padding can be left unwashed. Rinse vigorously in hot water. You can buy coconut fiber in a car service - it is used to stuff car seats.

But what color sunbed is important only for you. Choose the one that suits your situation.

Kinds

The main requirements for a sunbed:

  • comfort;
  • reliability;
  • appropriate size.

Beds are:

  • with right angles, round, oval;
  • closed (houses) or open;
  • with and without frame
  • soft or hard.

Favorite position during sleep determines the shape of the couch. If the dog sleeps curled up, buy a round or oval one. If he likes to sleep, stretched out - square or rectangular.

Also, when choosing a form, age, habits, and temperamental features of the pet are taken into account. If he likes to frolic in his place or, stretched out, ride from side to side, you will have to choose a more spacious mattress. If he likes to bury his nose in a corner - a couch with sides, a house or an envelope. For a puppy, it is better to take a padding litter slightly for growth.

The basket can be purchased from plastic or wicker. However, at the bottom of such a model, it is imperative to place a soft bedding, pillow or mattress.

Sofa or bed - a new modern form. They are made using the same technology as for people. Optionally, additional accessories are ordered for them: pillows, bumpers, blankets, additional removable covers, etc.

The house can be closed or semi-closed. Some dogs, especially small breeds, prefer their own "house". They are made of a wooden frame or wood, cardboard, and sheathed with plush, leather, and other soft fabric on top. Some are made entirely of dense and soft fabrics.

Blanket is a versatile bedding. It can be placed both on a cold floor and on a sofa, which it will protect from dirt and wool.

To correctly determine the size of the lounger, you need to measure the dog. Do this when the animal falls asleep in a favorite position. To find out the length, measure the distance from the tip of the nose to the tail and add from 5 to 15 cm if you plan to buy a bed, and 20-30 cm if you have a mattress. To determine the width, measure the distance from the toes of the front paw to the croup and multiply by two.

In a bed, selected in accordance with the size of the dog, the animal fits completely - neither paws nor tail hang down.

For small breeds

The usual dimensions of the bedding for small breeds (Spitz, Yorkshire Terrier, etc.) are 50 X 40 cm, for small, medium ones (American Cocker Spaniel, Welsh Corgi, Pug, etc.) - 70 by 50 cm. Cat beds are also suitable for them.

“Kids” are sensitive to drafts, which are very dangerous for them. Therefore, it is desirable that the beds are on a small hill. Beds, sofas, baskets are suitable for them.

Small representatives of burrowing breeds (dachshunds, fox terriers, etc.) and “naked” dogs (Mexican, Peruvian, etc.) prefer closed houses. And you can find "pedigree" houses. For example, for dachshunds they are elongated, similar to a hole.

For large breeds

The best choice for a large dog (Great Dane, Retriever, etc.) is a 120 X 180 cm mattress bed or smaller (for a Labrador, Shepherd, Pointer, etc.) - 110 X 70 cm. For hygiene reasons, it is advisable to purchase mattress pad.

For very large dogs (e.g. Dogue de Bordeaux, Irish Wolfhound) it is difficult to find a bed of the right size. It is better to order it in a special workshop or do it yourself.

Bedding for booth

If your pet lives on the street, he needs a litter all the more. Especially in winter.

The best way for these purposes is an old rug. Just cut out the bedding of the required size from it and process the edges with an overlock seam with a thick needle. This model is also suitable for a pet living in the house.

Cedar or pine sawdust is an excellent material for warm dog bedding. They are soft, fragrant, repel fleas and ticks, easily absorb moisture and unpleasant odors.

In this case, it is possible to replace only the place of contamination, and not the entire bedding at once. But sawdust is quickly crushed. They need to be loosened regularly. Another disadvantage is that small particles can get into the eye or ear of the dog, causing inflammation. With caution, they are used for puppies and small breeds.

Shavings are larger than sawdust. It is soft and smells good too. However, it retains heat worse than sawdust. Therefore, lay it in a thick layer.

We make a couch

You don't have to buy a dog bed at all. It can be sewn by hand. The main thing is to choose upholstery and filler. The easiest option is to sew a regular bag of the right size and fill it with filler from an old jacket or coat. And if you have time and imagination, you can safely proceed to more complex options.

From a sweater

It is easy to sew a bed from a sweatshirt or an old sweater. And for this, even a pattern is not needed. And the process will take a little time.

Sew the sleeves to the sides of the sweatshirt. Sew together the cuffs of the sleeves, forming a kind of "pipe". Then sew up the hem.

Fill the “bottom” of the bed with filler through the collar. With sewing pins, mark a line from one armpit to the other, sew.

It remains only to fill with filler the side formed by the sleeves and the remaining upper part of the sweatshirt. The last step is to sew up the collar.

Everything - a comfortable bed for a pet is ready.

Round

Well, if you want to sew a professional bed, you have to work hard. For round, you can use a universal pattern. The bottom diameter is taken as the base size. It ranges from 25-60 cm. It is easy to determine it for your pet. Wait until the dog gets comfortable and freezes. Measure the length of the body from the tips of the paws to the sacrum, add 5-10 cm.

Transfer the pattern to the wrong side of the upholstery fabric. Fold the fabric face to face, cut out two pieces, remembering to allow seam allowances of 1-2 centimeters. The width of the side is made approximately 20 - 25 cm.

Now fold the pieces wrong side inward and sew a seam around the perimeter of the bottom, if the couch is with an extra pillow. If the pillow is not planned, do not forget to fill it with filler.

Lay the seam at a distance of 6 cm from the edge of the pattern - insert the cord or ribbon here at the end of the work. Leave a section of about 20 cm unsewn. Through it, fill the side with filler, sew the section.

Finish the outer edges of the bed with a backstitch, leaving a hole. Pass a ribbon, elastic band or cord through it and pull it off.

For a pillowcase, use a pattern with a diameter of 15 cm larger than the main one. Pull the elastic along the edge.

with borders

It is easy to sew a rectangular bed yourself. Based on the pattern below, you can proportionally change its width and length in accordance with the size of the pet.

You can cut out both the whole model and all parts separately. In the case of a one-piece version, the first seams are laid along the outer edges of the sides, leaving the corners free. Then - the seams along the perimeter of the bottom.

If a separate pillow is planned in the couch, then the bottom is made without insulation. Otherwise, foam rubber of the appropriate size or other filler is laid in it.

The sides are filled with filler, the corners are sewn together, inserting ribbons to give shape.

In order to facilitate hygienic care, a pillowcase can be sewn using the same pattern. Only the corners in it are sewn up immediately.

In the shape of a booth

If you have enough enthusiasm, then you can take a swing at a more complex model of a couch - a house.

On the doubled upholstery fabric, apply the contours of the pattern. Parts of the house must be made from separate pieces of fabric, and then carefully sewn.

Cut out all the details of the house, not forgetting to make allowances for the seams. Cut out the foam pieces in the same way, but 1-2 cm (depending on the thickness of the padding) fewer pieces of the upholstery fabric. Sheathe all foam parts with upholstery fabric, connect in accordance with the picture above.

In places where the “lock” is indicated, you can sew a zipper or Velcro. Additionally, it is desirable to sew a pillow into the house, which will be convenient to remove and wash.

Lovers of knitting

If you don't like sewing, knitted bedding is a great alternative. They take large yarn (woolen is better for a dog) and large knitting needles (10-12). On a round bed with a diameter of 50-55 cm with sides of about 18 cm, you will need (with a knitting density of 10 X 10 cm = 8 loops X 15 rows):

  • 950 grams of yarn in the main color;
  • 200 grams of extra yarn.

Knit in garter stitch - all loops in the facial and purl rows are facial.

Cast on 44 stitches with the main color and work in short rows following the step by step instructions:

  • # in the first row - 41 loops;
  • in the 3rd - 38 loops;
  • in the 5th - 35 loops;
  • in the 7th - 32 loops;
  • in the 9th - 29;
  • in the 11th - 26;
  • in the 13th - 23;
  • in the 15-16th on all 44 loops;
  • two rows of yarn in a complementary color.

Repeat from #19 times. At the end of the work, all loops are closed and pulled together in the middle. Connect the typesetting row with the last (closed) one, forming a circle.

It is necessary to wash the finished bedding in a washing machine at a temperature of 60 degrees so that the wool falls off.

Spread the product well, shaping, and dry. Fold up the side and invite your pet to a new place.

You can clean a knitted bed with a vacuum cleaner. To wash, select the wool cycle at lower temperatures. Otherwise, the couch will still decrease in size, and you absolutely do not need it.

With the help of this step-by-step instruction, you can easily and quickly sew a bed for a small dog with your own hands. This upholstered ottoman chair is sure to please your pet. Your benefit is that it will not be difficult to make it, and it will be even easier to take care of the couch. You will need the simplest materials, a sewing machine and a few minutes of free time. We have prepared for you a master class and a pattern of a lounger with dimensions, with which you can make a blank for crafts without any extra effort.

Please note that the dimensions of this ottoman chair are designed for a small dog or puppy. However, you can easily increase them proportionally to make a larger dog bed. By the way, this couch has another obvious plus - it is not so easy to tear it, so if your dog is very playful, this ottoman can last longer than the others.

What will we need?

  • fabric for interior decoration
  • fabric for exterior
  • stuffing material

The material for the interior and exterior of your dog bed should be strong enough. Denim or knitted fabric is best, as well as fleece. An old knitted blanket could be a good base for the part that will be in contact with the floor - so the lounger will slide less on the floor. Denim is easy to clean from wool, so it will be the best choice for outdoor decoration.

How to sew a sunbed?

Whatever you choose, you need to start sewing a dog bed by building a pattern. It looks like this.

If you are sewing something according to patterns for the first time, it is better to make a drawing on paper to understand that everything is done correctly, and then transfer it to the fabric in duplicate.

Take a look at the photo to understand where you need to leave room for sewing in ties. Attach them with pins around the entire perimeter and sew a seam on a typewriter, leaving room for turning and stuffing the future sunbed.

We sew the workpiece from the wrong side. In this case, the ties are placed with the long side inward, so that after turning they turn out, on the contrary, with the long side outside.

We turn the future dog bed inside out very carefully so as not to damage the seams.

Now we need to fill the sunbed and make a few additional seams. Through the hole that we left, we carefully place the synthetic winterizer inside (it is very convenient to use an old unnecessary blanket for stuffing). Take a look at the photo, where it is noted what the gaps between the seams should be. Sew seams according to this marking.

You don’t need to stuff the bed too tightly, but you shouldn’t make it thin either, because the dog will be uncomfortable on it if the bed is not too soft.

We just need to tie our ribbons tightly to form the crib. Try to keep the bow tight because some dogs like to play with it.

The resulting dog bed can be additionally covered with bedding. As a bedding, we recommend using a homemade knitted rug from old clothes. It is not difficult to make it, and its strength is simply excellent - even the most mischievous dog will not always be able to handle it. In addition, the rug does not slip. And if necessary, it can be easily removed and cleaned. In a word, we advise you to think about covering a brand new bed for your pet with them.
