Gastritis with high acidity (Hyperacid gastritis). Can gastritis be cured? Effective treatment of gastritis with medicines, diets and folk remedies

Many of us are familiar with the feeling of heaviness and sometimes unbearable pain in the abdomen after almost every meal. If a person experiences these sensations, barely having time to have breakfast or dinner, then with a high degree of probability it can be argued that he has developed gastritis. This disease ranks second in the ranking of prevalence among the population, second only to all kinds of acute respiratory viral infections. Doctors distinguish a huge number of its varieties, but there are only two main types, and they are determined by the level of acidity of gastric juice. The topic of this article will be the treatment of gastritis with high acidity. We will talk about what this disease is, what factors provoke its development, and, of course, consider the various methods of treatment used in both traditional and traditional medicine.

Pathogen and risk factors

To talk about how to deal with a disease such as gastritis with high acidity, you first need to find out what it is and why it develops. Any type of gastritis is an inflammatory process in the gastric mucosa. This means that development is provoked by the impact on it of various aggressive factors. In some cases, the main culprit for the occurrence of gastritis is the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, well-known and often mentioned in advertisements for various dairy products. However, if a person develops gastritis with high acidity, the reasons may not always be precisely in the presence of this microorganism. An important role is played by the eating habits of a person and his lifestyle. What is it that we, without suspecting it, are doing and why we cannot get rid of unpleasant symptoms? Let's figure it out.

Unhealthy food

Sadly, but modern man in 90% of cases eats completely wrong. He seems to be happy to give up fast food and convenience foods that have already become familiar, but the rhythm of our life today, when we are forced to snack on so-called fast food, does not allow us to do this. And most people do not think at all that the regular consumption of such products is absolutely detrimental to the stomach. Just imagine: adhering to such a diet for at least one or two months, you are very likely to experience all the “charms” of this disease. That is why, if a person wants to avoid such a misfortune as gastritis with high acidity, nutrition is one of those aspects that should be thought about first.

Stress

Oddly enough, but constant psychological stress, as well as the chronic fatigue syndrome that has already become the norm for most of us, can also provoke the development of the disease. Why the stressful state has such a depressing effect on the mucous membrane of the human stomach, even the most experienced specialists cannot really explain. It will seem incredible, but in fact, when we say that nerves become the cause of any disease, in the light of the topic we are considering, this is 100% true. That is why one of the important aspects that make up the treatment of gastritis with high acidity is maximum peace and absence of severe stress. Of course, it is completely impossible to avoid this, but you need to try to fence yourself off from unnecessary disorders. If we are to be sad and worry, then only when there is a really weighty reason for this.

Bad habits

It would seem that everyone has long known that excessive consumption of alcohol, as well as caffeine and nicotine, adversely affects our health. Their attack does not bypass the mucous membrane of the stomach - it is very much injured. For this reason, most smokers, drinkers and coffee drinkers experience all the manifestations of this disease at some point. Therefore, the treatment of gastritis with high acidity involves saying goodbye to all bad habits: cigarettes, a cup of coffee in the morning on an empty stomach instead of a full healthy breakfast, alcohol parties with friends on weekends.

Symptoms of the disease

By what signs can you determine gastritis in yourself and what should make a potential patient visit a doctor and undergo appropriate examinations? Oddly enough, the disease can proceed without any external manifestations. Therefore, sometimes a person may not even suspect that he is sick. But there will come a moment when erosive gastritis with high acidity will make itself felt. It should be taken into account that the variation in symptoms can be quite strong. One patient may have only one or two signs of the disease, while another may experience a "full bouquet". Here, the determining factors are the stage of the disease in a person and the individual characteristics of his body. Further, we will only talk about those manifestations that characterize gastritis of the stomach with high acidity of gastric juice.

Pain

The very first and most distinctive symptom of this disease is, of course, pain in the stomach. It is he who leads all the other signs by which a person can be suspected of having gastritis. The explanation for this is the simplest: hydrochloric acid, which is part of the gastric juice, constantly irritates its mucous membrane, which immediately leads to the appearance of intense and fairly long pains that are localized in the epigastric region (it is also the solar plexus region).

Heartburn and belching

In 99% of cases, the patient complains of very severe heartburn, which can occur both after eating and on an empty stomach. Steady belching is observed a short time after eating, after about 15-20 minutes. Such unpleasant signs of gastritis with high acidity, of course, reduce the quality of life and cause a lot of inconvenience, which deprives a person of rest and violates his usual mode of life and, in particular, nutrition.

Weight loss

As the disease progresses, especially during periods of relapse, the patient may almost completely lose the desire to eat. And there is nothing surprising in this, since even, for example, one spoonful of soup can create such a feeling in a person, as if he had literally eaten an elephant. In this case, doctors strongly advise: if you have gastritis with high acidity, the menu should consist mainly of easily digestible dishes.

About medical treatment of the disease

The most important thing to remember after you have been diagnosed with this unpleasant disease is that you should not hope for a chance and think that, they say, time will pass and it will resolve itself. It is unacceptable not to do anything for treatment, since the result of such an irresponsible attitude to one's health can be the most unpredictable consequences. If you have been diagnosed with gastritis with high acidity, drugs, no matter how harmless they may seem, should never be taken on their own. Any self-treatment in this case is unacceptable, and all appointments are made only by a gastroenterologist based on the results of a complete examination and in accordance with the individual characteristics of the patient's body.

To reduce the acidity of gastric juice, drugs such as Phosphalugel, Almagel, Atropine, Platifillin, Famotidine, Ranitidine, Gastropin, Piren, Gastrin, Rabeprazole, "Omeprazole".

In order to protect the mucous membrane, the doctor prescribes enveloping agents. The most popular of them is the drug "Smekta". Supporters of folk methods, which we will discuss in more detail below, can use white clay and a decoction of flaxseeds.

The use of enzyme preparations normalizes the digestive function. These include medicines "Panzinorm", "Pancreatin", "Mezim-forte", "Festal", "Digestal".

Also, the treatment of gastritis with high acidity, caused by the previously mentioned bacterium Helicobacter pylori, involves taking a group of drugs such as proton pump inhibitors, as well as prescribing appropriate antibiotic therapy. The drugs used in this case include Amoxicillin, Omeprazole, Tindazole, Esomeprazole, Clarithromycin, Pyloride.

To alleviate the pain caused by the disease, a course of electrophoresis using novocaine is prescribed.

Comprehensive treatment includes both physiotherapy and herbal medicine. During periods of remission, when an exacerbation of gastritis with high acidity passes, doctors strongly recommend both a complete healthy diet and systematic spa treatment.

Nutrition as an important element of therapy

Contrary to popular belief, you should not rely too much on traditional medicine and shift everything only on the shoulders of a specialist and medical preparations. Much depends on the patient himself. Firstly, it is necessary to strictly and steadily follow all the appointments and recommendations that the attending physician will give at the appointment. Secondly, after the patient has been diagnosed with gastritis with high acidity, diet should become one of the main components of effective treatment. Its non-observance will give only a short-term improvement in the form of the disappearance of the symptoms of the disease for a short period of time. And this can only happen in the most favorable scenario.

During a relapse, doctors usually prescribe the most stringent diet, or rather, a complete rejection of it. Such a measure is necessary to mobilize the internal reserves of the body and start the process of self-healing of the gastric mucosa. For about two to three days, only unsweetened weakly brewed black tea or alkaline mineral water is allowed. After this period, the gradual introduction into the diet of products not prohibited for patients with gastritis is allowed. For patients diagnosed with gastritis with high acidity, nutrition, namely its proper organization, is the key to good health and an objective improvement in the condition.

Prohibited Products

But what should be given up in the first place? Let's look at the list of what you need to eliminate from your diet immediately. Prohibited products can be divided into two large groups according to the way they affect:

  • Stimulants for the production of gastric juice - alcohol, any drinks with gas and containing caffeine. Also, all fruit and vegetable juices fall under this category, with the exception of potato, cabbage and legumes.
  • Destroyers of the gastric mucosa - spicy, smoked and salty foods containing preservatives and artificial colors. This group includes fatty varieties of both meat and fish, as well as poultry. Under the ban are sour fruits and vegetables, radishes.

All food should be moderately warm, hot and very cold food should be avoided, since too high and low temperatures affect the condition of the gastric mucosa in the most unfavorable way. The best way to cook dishes is the usual cooking, steaming, as well as baking in the oven.

At first glance, it may seem that such restrictions are a very harsh measure. However, their observance will contribute to both improving the condition of the gastric mucosa and improving the health of the whole organism. Over time, you will begin to remember less and less what gastritis with high acidity is. Nutrition, which is recommended by gastroenterologists in case of illness, will gradually become familiar and, most importantly, healthy. This is exactly what modern man lacks so much! And for avid chefs, this is another reason to use all their skills and introduce their family and friends to healthy food.

Approved Products

What is welcome in the diet of those who are struggling with such a disease as gastritis of the stomach with high acidity?

  • Lean meat and fish: rabbit, chicken; cod, hake, pink salmon.
  • Vegetables that must be cooked before eating: boil in a saucepan or steam, bake.
  • Various boiled cereals, among which oatmeal, semolina and rice porridge, as well as mucous soups are in priority.
  • Any low-fat dairy products, especially cottage cheese.
  • Alkaline mineral water, the minimum consumption of which should be 1 liter per day.

If you have gastritis with high acidity, the diet should be based entirely on dishes from the above products. Particular attention should be paid to the nutrition schedule. You need to eat often, but the portions should be small. This principle of fractional nutrition minimizes the risk of heartburn - one of the common symptoms of gastritis.

Alternative Medicine Methods

Let's not doubt the fact that regular visits to the doctor and following his prescriptions are necessary for the successful fight against the disease. However, in addition to this, you can turn to grandmother's recipes. Rumor says that if you want to permanently exclude such words as "gastritis", "high acidity" from your vocabulary, folk remedies can help with this along with conventional medicines. In this case, we should not forget that before using any prescription, you should consult with your doctor. It is he who must approve or prohibit the use of this or that remedy because of his awareness of the patient's condition and the possibility of a real assessment of the picture of the disease.

Very often, people who treat gastritis with high acidity with non-traditional means, negative reviews regarding any prescription are written because they do not consult a specialist before starting to use it and sometimes do not even suspect that some of their components contraindicated. For this reason, it is recommended to carefully monitor which components are included in the composition of the received product. Among them should not be those to which the patient may be allergic.

Infusion to eliminate heartburn

To prepare this remedy, it is necessary to place it in an enameled container and pour a glass of boiling water over half a teaspoon of perforated St. John's wort, yarrow and peppermint. Infuse the solution for 2 hours, then strain through cheesecloth. The resulting liquid is drunk in small sips per day. The course of treatment lasts at least 14 days. If the patient is often accompanied by heartburn gastritis with high acidity, tablets from it can be completely painlessly replaced by this natural remedy. The effect of the application lasts for 2-3 months, if necessary, the course is repeated a week after the end.

fresh potato juice

As we said above, this vegetable juice is highly recommended for gastritis. Two pieces of the root crop are washed, peeled and rubbed on a fine grater. The juice is squeezed using gauze and drunk in the morning on an empty stomach for at least 10 days.

Liquorice root

As a rule, it is used to combat cough. But few people know that the use of licorice helps to normalize the acidity of gastric juice. 20 grams of its root are carefully crushed, poured into a glass of very hot water and boiled for about twenty minutes in a water bath. Then the solution is infused for 2 hours, and then filtered through gauze. A glass of boiled water is added to it, mixed and poured into a glass container. It is stored exclusively in the refrigerator, since at room temperature its medicinal properties are quickly lost. Take two tablespoons before each meal. The course of treatment is 1 month. If necessary, the course can be repeated after a week break.

Honey solution in the fight against gastritis

Honey is the only sweet that is recommended for this disease. The whole secret lies in its anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to normalize (along with licorice root) the acidity of gastric juice. For treatment, any natural honey is needed, a tablespoon of which is dissolved in one glass of warm boiled water. The course of treatment is 15 days, but even if the symptoms of the disease disappear earlier, it is necessary to complete it.

Infusion for pain relief

As we said earlier, a flaxseed solution has been successfully used to treat gastritis, namely to combat pain. Seeds are placed in a thermos in the amount of one tablespoon, pour half a liter of boiling water and insist for a day. After that, the infusion is filtered and poured into a glass container. It is taken one glass every morning on an empty stomach. As a result, the pain goes away.

Finally

As you can see, there are quite a few ways to get rid of the disease and alleviate its course. It does not matter how we treat gastritis with high acidity: traditionally or folk methods, it is only important to follow the recommendations of a specialist, find the most effective remedies and constantly apply them. Only in this case it is possible to guarantee a positive effect from both drug therapy and non-traditional treatment.

Doctors in their medical practice often encounter patients in whom they diagnose gastritis. This disease is manifested by a huge number of unpleasant symptoms. Can gastritis be cured and what medications, diets and folk remedies can help? This issue should be dealt with by all people, because each person can experience this disease.

What is gastritis and can it be cured?

A huge number of diseases can affect the human gastrointestinal tract. One of the most common ailments is gastritis. In medicine, doctors understand this term as inflammation of the gastric mucosa. It can occur due to the influence of certain negative factors on the body. Here is their list:

  • malnutrition (abuse of spicy and too hot dishes, dry food, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages);
  • frequent exposure to stressful situations;
  • long-term medication;
  • ingestion of Helicobacter pylori bacteria into the stomach;
  • smoking;
  • chronic infections in the oral cavity, diseases of the pancreas, gallbladder, liver, intestinal infections.

"Can gastritis be cured?" is a question that worries many people. In order for the treatment to be effective, you just need to consult a doctor for help in a timely manner and lead a healthy lifestyle in the future in order to avoid future exacerbations and the recurrence of all symptoms of the disease.

Varieties of gastritis

Treatment of the disease for each person is prescribed individually. It depends on the type of gastritis that has arisen. This disease can be acute and chronic. Acute gastritis is often called poisoning, a sudden inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the digestive system. This type of disease often occurs due to the indiscriminate use of drugs in large quantities. The reason for the development of acute gastritis may also be the use of low-quality food, the presence of individual intolerance to certain foods.

Now let's figure out what long-term inflammation in the stomach is. The disease is characterized by an undulating course. Periods of exacerbations are replaced by periods of remission. Men often suffer from the chronic form, because there are many more provoking factors in their lifestyle.

Classification of chronic gastritis

In order to understand what chronic gastritis is, you should consider its types:

  1. Gastritis with increased secretion of gastric juice. Patients have heartburn, belching with a sour taste, "hungry" pain (at night and in the morning before meals) and burning in the epigastric region.
  2. Gastritis with reduced secretion of gastric juice. This type of disease is characterized by a decrease in the production of hydrochloric acid. The disease is manifested by a deterioration in appetite, weight loss, the appearance of an unpleasant aftertaste in the mouth in the morning, after waking up, nausea, and a feeling of fullness in the abdomen.

Medical treatment of acute gastritis

In acute gastritis, as in another type of inflammation of the gastric mucosa, you should immediately consult a doctor. Only a specialist can prescribe an adequate treatment that will really help and will not cause additional harm to the body.

In acute gastritis caused by poisoning, gastric lavage is performed. To cleanse the intestines, absorbent drugs, laxatives (activated charcoal, castor oil, etc.) are prescribed. For infections that provoke acute gastritis, antibacterial drugs are used, and for allergic reactions, antiallergic (antihistamine) drugs are used.

Medical treatment of chronic gastritis

In chronic gastritis, treatment is prescribed after the diagnosis - probing. This procedure allows specialists to assess the state of gastric secretion, to determine the acidity of the digestive juice produced in the body. If there are contraindications for probing, a gastrotest is used. Its essence lies in taking a special drug, due to which the level of acidity of gastric contents is determined.

For the treatment of gastritis with excessive acidity, the following drugs can be prescribed:

  1. "Renny" in the form of chewable tablets. During their development, studies were conducted that answered the question of whether gastritis with high acidity can be cured. The medicine helps to relieve symptoms. After using the drug, pain, heartburn, belching, feeling of fullness in the epigastric region disappear.
  2. "Almagel" in the form of a suspension. This drug helps to neutralize hydrochloric acid and reduce the activity of pepsin in gastric juice. Thanks to this action, the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract is protected from damaging effects.

From gastritis with low acidity, many drugs have been developed. One of them is "Plantaglucid". This is a medicine of plant origin, made on the basis of extracts of the leaves of the plantain. Experiments have shown that the drug increases the production of gastric juice, increases acidity. At the same time, it protects the mucous membrane from damage, has an antispasmodic effect. "Plantaglucid" has low toxicity, so it is used not only in the treatment of diseases such as gastritis. Prevention is another indication for use.

Diet for gastritis: general rules

Nutrition plays an important role in the treatment of the disease. A gastroenterologist or nutritionist develops a diet for sick people, talks about whether gastritis can be cured. For ailments with high and low acidity, different diets are selected, but at the same time they are based on general rules:

  • meals should be regular - 3 or 4 times a day;
  • food and drinks should not be consumed if they are too hot or cold;
  • you should not starve or overeat - it is better to eat little and often;
  • do not swallow solid food unless it is thoroughly chewed.

Is it possible to drink alcoholic beverages with gastritis? The answer to this question is negative. Alcohol with the disease in question is prohibited, as well as grape juice, kvass. The list of prohibited foods includes fresh baked goods, rye bread, legumes, fried eggs, hard cheeses, canned food, pickles, marinades, spicy seasonings, fatty meats, cabbage, mushrooms, onions, unripe fruits and berries with large grains.

Diet for gastritis with increased secretion

With gastritis with excessive acidity, a diet is needed that would not provoke an increase in the secretion of gastric juice. Experts with exacerbations of this type of disease are advised to adhere to a medical diet - table number 1a. Mucous porridges are allowed (semolina porridge is very useful in such a period), soft-boiled eggs, steam soufflés from low-fat varieties of fish. From drinks, non-acidic berry and fruit kissels, carrot juice, rosehip broth are shown.

When the disease subsides, they move to table No. 1b. The above list of allowed foods and dishes is expanded by adding various grated milk porridges, wheat crackers, steamed fish and meat dishes.

Diet with insufficient secretion

With gastritis with reduced secretion during periods of exacerbations, you can eat the following dishes and foods:

  • soups on a low-fat broth with the addition of well-cooked and mashed cereals;
  • inedible bakery products;
  • vegetable purees, which can be prepared from potatoes, cauliflower, zucchini;
  • soft-boiled chicken eggs or an omelet made from egg white;
  • from drinks - cocoa or tea with milk, jelly and pureed compotes from sweet fruits and berries.

What do you eat if you are in remission? During this period, the diet is expanded. At the same time, several rules are followed. First, nutrition is made balanced and healthy. Secondly, they adhere to the principle of fractional nutrition. Thirdly, spices, fatty and fried foods, alcoholic beverages, muffins, pickles are completely excluded from the diet.

Phytotherapy for gastritis

People suffering from inflammation of the gastric mucosa often turn to folk healers for help and ask them if gastritis can be cured. Healers advise using herbal medicine, because mother nature has created a huge number of useful plants that can heal from various ailments. With gastritis with excessive acidity, a medicine prepared according to the following recipe can help:

  • take the herb of celandine, comfrey, marshmallow root and licorice (the first ingredient should be taken in proportion to the rest in a ratio of 1:2:2:2);
  • all ingredients are crushed and mixed;
  • 1 st. l. the prepared mixture is poured into a glass of cold water, put on fire and brought to a boil;
  • insist the medicine for a quarter of an hour;
  • filter;
  • take an infusion of 1 glass three times a day for half an hour before meals (treatment - 30 days).

In case of a disease with low acidity, it is advised to use a different recipe. Effective treatment of gastritis with folk remedies is possible if you strictly follow the instructions:

  • 1 tsp crushed calamus rhizome is poured into a glass of boiling water;
  • insist the medicine for 20 minutes;
  • filter;
  • take the infusion half an hour before meals for half a glass, four times a day.

So, we have found answers to questions about whether it is possible to cope with the acute form of the disease, whether it is possible to cure chronic gastritis forever. Summing up, it is worth noting that the disease develops due to the fact that people often neglect simple rules: do not eat at the same time, skip meals, eat too cold, hot and spicy, drink alcohol, smoke. If you lead a healthy lifestyle, then there will be no problems with the gastrointestinal tract, there will be no gastritis. Prevention is just that.

Gastritis with high acidity is a serious disease that requires immediate treatment. At the first symptoms of the disease, you should immediately seek help from a specialist.

Symptoms of the disease

The main symptom of the disease is a feeling of discomfort in the epigastric region. Signs of gastritis with high acidity:

  • the occurrence of aching pain in the left hypochondrium;
  • the appearance of severe heartburn;
  • constant eructations of sour.

With such an ailment, vomiting and nausea occur, they are observed when a person is hungry or after severe overeating. Another symptom of gastritis with high levels of acidity is bloating, as well as regular constipation and gas formation. With this disease, there is often a decrease or increase in appetite. If the disease has an acute form, then because of the pain in the stomach, it is quite difficult to eat food. There are many other symptoms by which you can recognize gastritis with an increased level of acidity. Common signs of the disease are the occurrence of hungry pains. Most often, such unpleasant sensations accompany patients at night or during long breaks between meals.

If the patient has a chronic form of gastritis with a high level of acidity, then there are no such pronounced signs of the disease. Unpleasant symptoms occur only in the presence of provoking factors. This occurs as a result of overeating, long breaks between meals, alcohol abuse, food poisoning, or non-compliance with the prescribed diet. Harmful factors include severe stress, the intake of low-quality products and smoking.

If you suspect gastritis with high acidity, the symptoms of the disease should be known. When observing serious changes in the functioning of the digestive system, you should immediately seek help from a gastroenterologist.

Antibiotics and antisecretory drugs in the treatment of the disease

It is often necessary to treat gastritis with an increased level of acidity with the use of antibacterial agents. Typically, the course of such therapy is prescribed for at least 14 days. The most common drugs:

  • Clarithromycin;
  • Amoxicillin;
  • Tetracycline;
  • Metronidazole.

Only the attending physician should determine the dosage of medicines and the frequency of their use.

To combat Helicobacter pylori most often use:

  • Amofast;
  • Clarkt;
  • Aziklar;
  • Clerimed.

Antibacterial agents enter the mucous membrane through the systemic circulation, then begin to accumulate there and provide a bactericidal effect. Sometimes the body has adverse reactions to drugs from this group, which manifest themselves in the form of dizziness, nausea and severe itching. If such symptoms occur, you should immediately stop using the prescribed medications.

To improve the effect in the treatment of gastritis, it is recommended to take antisecretory agents that will inhibit the production of hydrochloric acid. Such drugs contribute to the suspension of hydrophilic secretion and reduce the level of enzymes in gastric juice.

For the treatment of disease with high acidity, the following are commonly used:

  • Cerol;
  • Omeprazole;
  • Zulbeks;
  • Lansoprazole;
  • Emanera;
  • Protonix.

In addition to these drugs, gastritis therapy is carried out using antisecretory agents, the action of which is aimed at blocking histamine cell receptors. In the treatment of the disease, the drugs Gastril, Piren are often used. How effective the therapy will be depends on the degree of neglect of the inflammatory process and compliance with all medical recommendations.

Other common drugs for the treatment of gastritis

In the treatment of gastritis with high acidity, other medicines are used. To remove spasms and get rid of pain, it is recommended to use No-shpu or Drotaverine. Also, for the treatment of the disease, agents are often prescribed, whose action is aimed at neutralizing the acid of the gastric juice. Such preparations contain magnesium and aluminum, and the effect of medicines does not occur immediately, but it lasts for many months. This group of funds includes:

  • Topalkan;
  • Phosphalugel;
  • Altacid;
  • Gaviscon;
  • Rutacid.

It is very important that when treating gastritis with high acidity, the patient does not use too many drugs to reduce gastric juice. Therefore, you should not independently increase the dose or frequency of use of medications.

If, after prolonged therapy, the desired effect does not occur, then the specialist may decide on the appointment of bismuth preparations and other antacids. Most often prescribed: Tribimol, De-Nol, Vis-Nol, Bisnol, etc. Such agents have an enveloping and anti-acid effect. After taking medications, a film forms on the mucous membrane, which becomes a barrier to acid diffusion. Most often, these drugs are prescribed in the form of powders, suspensions or chewable tablets, they practically do not cause adverse reactions.

Therapy of gastritis with high acidity with medicines should be carried out under the strict supervision of the attending physician.

The role of nutrition in the treatment of pathology

A complete treatment of gastritis with high acidity cannot be imagined without a diet. The main rule is to eat food in small portions, but often. You should have about 6-7 meals a day. It is allowed to take food only in a warm form (not cold or hot). Be sure to abandon the use of alcoholic beverages, spicy and salty foods, sour fruits, rich meat broths, fatty meats. If the condition worsens, the patient needs to eat only cereals on the water and mashed potatoes. Gastritis, which occurs with high acidity, requires a balanced, fortified and fractional diet.

Among cereals, semolina, buckwheat, oatmeal and durum pasta are allowed. You can not eat millet, corn porridge and legumes. As a liquid food, you can use soups cooked in carrot or potato broth. It is not forbidden to take dishes cooked from chicken breast. Soups in milk with the addition of rice or oatmeal porridge are well perceived by the body. For the duration of therapy, you will have to forget about borscht, okroshka and cabbage soup. You can use butter as a dressing.

With gastritis, which is accompanied by a high level of acidity, it is allowed to eat beef, rabbit meat, turkey, nutria and chicken. From such minced meat you can cook steamed cutlets, chops, stew meat or bake it in the oven. In boiled form, it is allowed to take pork tongue and liver. For the period of therapy, duck, smoked sausages, sausages and any canned meat should be abandoned.

Among fish dishes, you can eat those made from pike, pike perch (but only in boiled form), as well as steamed cutlets from pollock, cod, hake. Bread is allowed to be consumed in dried form and exclusively wheat. It is also allowed to take biscuit cookies. Among vegetables, the use of potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, beets is recommended. Puddings, soufflés or mashed potatoes should be prepared from the fruits. Occasionally, you can afford sweet varieties of tomatoes. You can not eat onions, mushrooms, cucumbers, spinach and white cabbage. Fruit dishes for gastritis with a high level of acidity are prepared from sweet berries in a pureed form. Jelly, compotes, marshmallows, marshmallows and honey are allowed.

From dairy products you can cream, milk, non-acidic types of kefir and cottage cheese. Among spices, parsley, dill, vanilla and cinnamon are allowed. You should drink weak green teas, rosehip broth, freshly squeezed juices of sweet berries and fruits.

If you stick to a diet, then gastritis with high acidity will be easier to proceed, and treatment will give positive results much faster.

The use of herbs in the treatment of disease

For the treatment of gastritis with a high level of acidity, medicinal herbs are often used that have an astringent and enveloping effect. Well helps in the treatment of illness Ivan-tea. To prepare a healthy decoction, you need to take 10 g of dry raw materials, pour 250 ml of boiling water and keep on low heat for 15 minutes. The drug is required to take 1 tbsp. l. 3 times a day before meals. The drug has a significant anti-inflammatory effect.

To cope with gastritis, which occurs with a high level of acidity, an infusion of rhubarb root, mint and blackcurrant juice will help. The components must be mixed, pour 250 boiling water and leave for 20-25 minutes. Take a decoction before meals for 0.5 cups. Multiplicity of use - 4 times a day. To get rid of the disease, the use of other herbal remedies is practiced:

  1. 1 st. l. flowers of pharmaceutical chamomile, peppermint, medicinal calendula, marsh cudweed, narrow-leaved fireweed, St. John's wort, burdock root and licorice. Pour the ingredients with 600 ml of boiling water and put the mass on low heat. After 10 minutes, remove from the stove, leave for about an hour, strain and consume 0.5 cups after a meal.
  2. Galangal root, calendula flowers, yarrow (1:1:1) pour 250 ml of water and bring to a boil. After 4–5 minutes, remove from heat, strain and consume warm, 30 ml up to 4 times a day.
  3. 1 st. l. marsh calamus pour 350 ml of cold water and leave for 60 minutes. Then cool and strain. Drink before meals 1 glass up to 3 times a day.

It will be possible to alleviate the course of the disease with the help of a decoction of flax seeds. The remedy should be taken 1 glass a day. For the treatment of gastritis, a drug from 1 tbsp is suitable. l. mint, 2 tbsp. l. calendula flowers, 30 g cudweed and 25 g St. John's wort. Herbs are mixed, 1 liter of boiling water is poured and infused for 3 hours. You need to use the remedy before a meal, 70 ml. Well helps drug from licorice root and burdock (1:1). The crushed raw materials are placed in a thermos and filled with water. The product is infused for 6 hours. You need to use the medicine in 125 ml up to 5 times a day.

If you use folk recipes for gastritis under the supervision of a doctor and combining them with drug therapy, you can improve the general condition of the gastrointestinal system and get rid of the disease.

Other useful folk medicines

To cure gastritis with high acidity, 7 g of natural bee glue should be consumed every day. This procedure must be carried out for 30 days. In the presence of allergic reactions, this therapy should be discontinued. Almonds are suitable for the treatment of the disease. It is required to eat up to 10 fruits per day, dividing them into several doses. Increased acidity of the pancreas will return to normal if you regularly take honey water. It is required to drink cold 60 minutes before a meal.

Lettuce leaves will help to cope with the disease. They need to be brewed with 250 ml of boiling water, then infused for 120 minutes, filtered and consumed at night. Beets are considered an effective method of treating the disease. It is necessary to prepare a salad from raw or boiled root vegetables. If you eat such a dish every day, then you can normalize the level of acidity.

For the treatment of gastritis, carrot juice is often used. Freshly squeezed juice is recommended to use 1.5 cups, it is better to do it on an empty stomach, 60 minutes before a meal. For such purposes, a potato drink is used. The root crop is thoroughly washed, ground on a grater. Juice is squeezed out of the resulting mass, which is consumed 250 ml 3 times a day. The duration of therapy is 1.5 months.

Quite often they resort to pumpkin treatment. It needs to be cut into small pieces and boiled. You should eat 25–30 g of the dish per day, gradually increasing the dose to 150 g. It is recommended to consume pumpkin 3 times a day before meals. After 10 days, you should take a break for a week, then repeat the course. Pumpkin juice is very useful. It can be taken at 75 ml per day, and over time, 3 glasses of the drink are allowed. But such treatment is not suitable for ulcers and severe diabetes.

There are several other effective remedies for the treatment of the disease:

  1. Dissolve 1 g of mummy in 1 liter of milk (boiled). The drug is used for 30 days, 3 times a day, 250 ml. 4 courses should be completed, but there should be a break of 10 days between them;
  2. Heat 250 ml of alkaline mineral water over low heat to 40 °C. Stir the drink to release gases, and drink half in one gulp. After 30 minutes, use the rest of the mineral water;
  3. Peel green apples, grate and sprinkle with honey. Eat the dish, and then within 3 hours do not drink water and food.

For gastritis with high acidity, it is recommended to take 1 tsp 3 times a day. sea buckthorn oil. The procedure should be carried out 20-25 minutes before a meal. Often the disease is treated with plum puree. Bones are removed from 2-3 fruits, the fruits are kneaded with a fork. You need to eat such a dish within 25 days.

You can treat the disease with the use of chaga mushroom. It has a positive effect on the digestive system and helps to restore the pancreatic mucosa. Raw materials must be crushed and pour 1 liter of water. Infuse the drug for 3-4 hours, then strain and put in a dark room for 5 days. Tincture is recommended to use 250 ml up to 3 times a day.

If you properly treat gastritis with an increased level of acidity, then you can quickly cope with the disease. The main thing is to follow medical recommendations and follow the prescribed diet.

The generally recognized reason No. 1 for the development of gastritis with high acidity is the bacterium H. Pylori, which colonizes the gastrointestinal tract in more than half of the world's population, but does not manifest itself in everyone. However, infected people are much more likely to develop gastric and duodenal ulcers, and there is an increased risk of gastric cancer - gastric MALT lymphoma, adenocarcinoma of the body and antrum of the stomach. The discovery of Helicobacter pylori radically changed approaches to the treatment of gastritis, gastric ulcers and all hypersecretory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

The current evidence-based treatment regimen for H. pylori-associated acid gastritis was developed by the coordinated efforts of key gastroenterologists who came together two decades ago as the European H. Pylori Study Group (EHSG). Approved by numerous clinical studies, the diagnostic system and the scheme of drug therapy for Helicobacter pylori hyperacid gastritis allows you to completely destroy H. Pylori.

Gastroenterologists conduct such a course of eradication, that is, eradication therapy for 14 days, using two types of antibiotics and drugs that suppress the effect of acid on the mucin layer of the gastric mucosa - proton pump inhibitors. This is a variant of a three-component treatment regimen, and with a quadrocomponent regimen, bismuth preparations are also prescribed.

At the end of treatment, the presence of H. Pylori is checked with blood for antibodies, fecal antigen testing, and a urease breath test with labeled urea.

Treatment of gastritis with high acidity: antibiotics

Antibacterial treatment of H. pylori acid gastritis consists of two weeks of two antibiotics, such as Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin, Metronidazole, and Tetracycline.

Appointed Clarithromycin 500 mg 2 times a day and Amoxicillin 1 g 2 times a day. Instead of Amoxicillin, Metronidazole 500 mg 2 times a day can be prescribed. In the case of a four-drug regimen, doctors prescribe Metronidazole - 500 mg three times a day and Tetracycline - 500 mg 4 times a day - for 10 days.

The acid-resistant semi-synthetic penicillin Amoxicillin (Amoxiclav, Amofast, Augmentin and other trade names) and the macrolide Clarithromycin (Klarbakt, Clerimed, Aziclar, Claricid, etc.) are recognized as the most effective against the H. Pylori bacterium. True, the bioavailability of the latter is almost half lower, and its maximum effect is shown in an alkaline environment.

Antibiotics through the systemic circulation quickly enter the mucous membrane of the antrum of the stomach and accumulate there, providing a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect on H. Pylori cells. Side effects of antibiotics are manifested by nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and epigastric pain, dizziness and headache, sleep disturbance, tinnitus, stomatitis, skin itching and rashes.

Treatment of gastritis with high acidity: antisecretory drugs

In order for the antibacterial treatment of gastritis with high acidity caused by helicobacter pylori (eradication therapy) to be more effective, and also to reduce pain by reducing the synthesis of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, antisecretory drugs of the benzimidazole group are prescribed that inhibit the production of hydrochloric acid - proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

These drugs bind hydrogen-potassium ATP (adenosine triphosphatase) - a hydrolase protein enzyme (called the proton pump), which is located on the cell membranes of the fundic glands of the stomach and ensures the transfer of hydrogen ions. Thus, the hydrophilic secretion of HCl is suspended, which reduces the level of acid in the gastric juice and prevents further damage to the gastric mucosa.

The treatment regimen for gastritis with high acidity uses PPIs such as: Omeprazole (Omek, Losek, Omiton, Omizak, Cerol, etc.) - twice a day, 20 mg; Rabeprazole (Zulbex) or Esomeprazole (Emanera) - twice a day, 20 mg; Lansoprazole (Lanzal) - twice a day, 30 mg; Pantoprazole (Protonix) - twice a day, 40 mg. The course of therapy lasts a week.

Side effects of these drugs are expressed in the form of headache and dizziness, dry mouth, defecation disorders, nausea, abdominal pain, skin rashes. Long-term use of these drugs, especially at high doses, may increase the risk of bone fractures.

PPIs are used in the symptomatic treatment of hyperacid reflux gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, alcoholic and eosinophilic gastritis, and gastritis after long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

In addition to proton pump inhibitors, treatment of gastritis with high acidity is carried out using antisecretory drugs that block histamine receptors of cells (histamine H2 receptor antagonists). According to the American Gastroenterological Association, their use in the treatment of gastritis with high acidity increases the effectiveness of therapy in 92-95% of clinical cases.

The fact is that cytotoxins and mucolytic enzymes produced by H. Pylori cause a response in the body - activation of the inflammatory mediator interleukin-1β. As a result, the parietal glandulocytes of the gastric mucosa begin to synthesize more hydrochloric acid. Used by most gastroenterologists, the drug Ranitidine (Acidex, Gistak, Zantak, Ranigast, Ranitab, etc.) selectively blocks histamine H2 receptors in gastric mucosal cells and inhibits the production of HCl. The standard dose is 400 mg twice a day. Side effects of drugs in this group include diarrhea, dizziness and headaches, skin rashes, feeling tired, a decrease in the number of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia), a slight increase in blood creatinine. However, prolonged use of this drug in high doses can lead to hormonal disorders (gynecomastia, amenorrhea, impotence).

Obviously, European doctors, unlike American ones, do not include histamine receptor blockers in the treatment of hyperacid Helicobacter pylori gastritis due to side effects. In addition, H2 blockers reduce hydrochloric acid synthesis less effectively than proton pump inhibitors.

Currently, among antisecretory drugs that block acetylcholine receptors (anticholinergics), only Gastrocepin (Gastropin, Gastril, Pirenzepin, Piren, etc.) is used in the treatment of gastritis with high acidity, which does not penetrate the BBB and does not have such side effects as structurally similar benzodiazepine derivatives. Acting on the parental cells of the stomach, this drug reduces the synthesis of hydrochloric acid and pepsin proenzymes. The recommended average dose is 50 mg twice a day (half an hour before meals). Gastrocepin has side effects such as headache, dry mouth, dilated pupils, constipation, dysuria, increased heart rate.

Treatment of gastritis with high acidity: bismuth preparations and other antacids

If the treatment regimen for gastritis with high acidity based on three drugs for some reason does not give the expected result, then patients are prescribed a fourth drug containing heavy metal salts of bismuth - Bismuth subcitrate (Bismuth tripotassium dicitrate, Bisnol, Ventrisol, Vis-Nol, Gastro -Norm, De-Nol, Tribimol and other trade names). It is an enveloping and antacid (anti-acid) agent, which also has bactericidal properties. Due to the formation of a film on the mucous membrane (as a result of the interaction of bismuth salt with gastric acid), Bismuth subcitrate creates a barrier for acid diffusion. And by binding the sulfhydryl groups of the proteins of Helicobacter Pylori bacteria cells, bismuth salts inactivate their enzyme system, causing the reproduction to stop and the death of pathogenic microorganisms.

Bismuth subcitrate is recommended to take 0.4 g twice a day or 0.12 g 4 times a day (half an hour before meals); the minimum course of treatment is 28 days, the maximum is 56 days. Side effects of this drug include nausea, vomiting, more frequent bowel movements, and dark colored stools. And contraindications to its use are kidney dysfunction, pregnancy and lactation, as well as children's age.

Antacids and alginates are considered symptomatic drugs for the traditional treatment of gastritis with high acidity, the task of which is to provide short-term relief to the condition of patients, reducing pain. Taking antacids - Phosphalugel (Alfogel, Gasterin), Almagel (Alumag, Gastrogel, Gastal, Maalox) - helps to neutralize the acid in the stomach for a while. And the therapeutic effect of alginates (Gaviscon) is based on the fact that they form a gel-like protective coating on the gastric mucosa, but the acidity of gastric juice does not decrease.

Antacids in the form of chewable tablets, powders and suspensions should be taken after meals, as well as at bedtime: chew 1-2 tablets or drink 1-2 teaspoons three times a day. These funds have a short-term effect, but almost do not cause undesirable side effects (there are diarrhea, flatulence and vomiting).

Gaviscon tablets should be chewed after meals (2 pcs.); children 6-12 years old are recommended to take a suspension - 5-10 ml. The maximum duration of the protective action is on average about four hours.

Anyone who has gastritis with high acidity during its exacerbation must adhere to a therapeutic diet No. 1b, which provides for fractional meals (five times a day) and the exclusion from the diet of fried and spicy foods, fresh bread, fatty meat and broths, legumes, mushrooms , raw vegetables, coffee, alcohol, carbonated drinks. At the same time, you must drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day.

Treatment of gastritis with high acidity by folk methods

Among the recommendations for the treatment of gastritis with high acidity by folk methods, most often there are recipes for decoctions and infusions of medicinal plants that help fight the effects of hydrochloric acid on the walls of the stomach. The causes of the disease are not eliminated by any means of traditional medicine.

Consider what can be the treatment of gastritis with high acidity with herbs. The most used plants in herbal medicine for inflammation of the stomach: chamomile (flowers), peppermint, calendula officinalis (flowers), cudweed marsh (marsh), fireweed, St. John's wort, large burdock (root), licorice naked (root and rhizome).

To prepare a medicinal decoction according to the first recipe, take a tablespoon of chamomile, mint and fireweed for 600 ml of boiling water, boil the mixture over low heat for 10 minutes, leave to cool and drink half a glass after each meal (after 45-60 minutes) .

It also alleviates the condition with hyperacid gastritis of various etiologies such a collection:

1 tablespoon of mint, 2 tablespoons of marigold flowers and 4 tablespoons of cudweed and St. John's wort. Displace all herbs and take a tablespoon of this mixture in a glass of boiling water, brew, cover and let stand for about an hour. The infusion is advised to take 60-70 ml before meals three times a day.

And an effective folk remedy for gastritis with high acidity is an infusion of burdock and licorice roots (in equal proportions). It is best to cook it in a thermos: grind vegetable raw materials, place in a thermos at the rate of a tablespoon for every 200 ml of water, pour boiling water and close. After 6 hours, the infusion is ready for use: 100-120 ml at least four times a day.

The arsenal of drug therapy for hyperacid gastritis, as you yourself have seen, is quite powerful. The main thing is to undergo an examination, identify the true cause of the disease and begin treatment of gastritis with high acidity so that the stomach and the entire digestive system work normally.

One of the most severe and painful forms of gastritis is hyperacid gastritis. This ailment is characterized by increased secretory function of the stomach lining, which leads to increased acidity in the stomach itself. The disease is accompanied by acute inflammation of the mucosa. As a rule, gastritis with high acidity is more common in men.

The symptoms of this disease are very specific, it is difficult not to notice it. Caring nature came up with this so that a person would pay attention to them by starting treatment, because the prolonged existence of an increased amount of hydrochloric acid in the stomach inevitably leads to damage to its cells, which causes erosion and ulcers to develop.

Reasons for development

Allocate external and internal causes of development. External reasons include:

  • excessive alcohol and tobacco use;
  • abuse of food that causes irritation of the gastric mucosa (fatty, spicy, spicy or too hot food);
  • work in the production of chemicals or other products harmful to health;
  • uncontrolled intake of certain drugs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, salicylates, antibiotics).

Internal reasons include:

It is important to establish the cause, as this will directly influence the choice of therapy.

Also in medicine, the modern classification of a disease with high acidity is known, where gastritis is divided into 3 subgroups - A, B and C.

  • Type A gastritis: In the patient's body, the formation of antibodies to the mucosa of the organ begins. This is due to genetics.
  • Gastritis type B: The lesion affects the antrum of the stomach. The most common cause of Helicobacter pylori. Another reason is reflux.
  • Type C gastritis: This type includes gastritis caused by poisoning with alcohol, drugs or chemicals.

Any type of disease is dangerous for a person and can provoke the development of complications such as erosive gastritis and peptic ulcer. Treatment under such circumstances is prescribed immediately.

Signs of gastritis with high acidity

Most types of pathology have similar symptoms:

  • pain in the stomach in the morning and at night;
  • heartburn; nausea;
  • burning;
  • vomiting (sometimes with blood);
  • belching sour;
  • bloating;
  • diarrhea; constipation.

In the chronic form, the symptoms are mild. Exacerbation of gastritis with high acidity in the spring and autumn is accompanied by unpleasant manifestations, if there are provoking factors.

Symptoms of type A gastritis

The disease is asymptomatic until the development of intestinal megaloblastic anemia. In some cases it is characterized by:

  • dull pains;
  • heaviness after eating;
  • unpleasant taste in the mouth;
  • nausea, belching;
  • flatulence, diarrhea.

In the future, there is a burning tongue, drowsiness, fatigue, numbness of the limbs. Objectively, it is characterized by pallor of the skin, varnished surface of the tongue, loss of vibrational sensitivity, gait disturbance, etc.

Symptoms of type B gastritis

Chronic gastritis with high acidity type B is manifested by symptoms characteristic of peptic ulcer:

  • hungry and night pains in the stomach;
  • nausea, vomiting;
  • heartburn, sour belching;
  • constipation.

The disease may be asymptomatic. It is diagnosed on the basis of clinical observations, endoscopic examination.

Type C gastritis

Reflux gastritis, type C chemical gastritis with increased acidity is characterized by focal lesions of the fundamental part of the stomach with the contents of the duodenum 12. With small bowel reflux (moving in the opposite direction), gastritis C develops after gastric resection.

This type of gastritis with high acidity can also be caused by drug, chemical or alcohol poisoning. It is also possible for a course without pronounced symptoms, or the following signs are observed:

  • feeling of heaviness and pain immediately after eating or during sleep;
  • nausea, heartburn, vomiting.

What are the complications?

A prolonged increase in the concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach can lead to such complications:

  • development of an ulcer - a defect in the stomach wall in the form of a non-healing wound;
  • duodenitis - inflammation of the duodenum, as a result of hydrochloric acid entering it;
  • the transition of gastritis to a tumor disease - constant irritation of the gastric mucosa with hydrochloric acid can provoke its uncontrolled growth and the appearance of a tumor.

Diagnostics

For diagnosis, the following laboratory and instrumental research methods are used:

  • pH-metry - determination of acidity directly in the stomach cavity;
  • gastric sounding with sampling of gastric juice - a tube is inserted into the stomach, through which a portion of gastric juice is taken, then the concentration of hydrochloric acid in it is determined in the laboratory;
  • fibroesophagogastroduodenoscopy (FEGDS) - using a fiber optic tube with lighting and a camera, you can directly see the state of its mucous membrane.

When the first symptoms of gastritis appear, you should consult a gastroenterologist for additional examination and adequate treatment.

How to treat gastritis with high acidity

Knowing the exact clinical picture of the patient's stomach, the type, stage, form of gastritis, the treatment will be determined by the doctor based on these detailed data for each individual patient:

  1. Before starting treatment, the doctor should carefully study the patient's history, his general health, comorbidities, including the gastrointestinal tract, in order to clarify possible contraindications for taking certain medications.
  2. According to FGSD, the doctor determines the type, stage and form of gastritis, the acidity of gastric juice and finds out the causes of the disease.
  3. The effectiveness of the treatment of gastritis with high acidity depends on the neglect of the inflammatory process, its type and on the discipline and responsibility of the patient himself, since with any treatment, medication, folk remedies - without dieting and eradicating bad habits, it is impossible to cure gastritis.

Today, in the selection of therapy, gastroenterologists rely not on the acidity of the stomach, but on the condition of the mucosa according to FGDS. In acute gastritis, symptomatic therapy is first prescribed, since at the beginning it is necessary to reduce pain and reduce inflammation, and this is possible by reducing the production of hydrochloric acid, that is, with the help of drugs that neutralize acidity, and of course dietary intake.

Preparations

Drug treatment slows down the spread of the inflammatory process, normalizes the activity of the glands. Doctors prescribe:

  1. Antacids. Reduce the level of acidity of gastric juice: Rutacid, Phosphalugel, Almagel, Maalox.
  2. Antibacterial agents (according to indications): Metronidazole, Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin.
  3. Hydrochloric acid blockers: Lansoprazole, Omeprazole, Ranitidine.
  4. With severe pain syndrome, injections of antispasmodics and medications that reduce gastric secretion are necessary.
  5. You can not do without Smecta, enveloping the walls of the stomach. Enzymes are needed to improve the digestion process. They contain preparations: Mezim, Creon, Digestal.

The above list of tablets for gastritis and stomach ulcers can be used only after consulting a doctor. This is important to remember, since different forms of gastritis require an individual approach. Otherwise, you risk making it worse with the wrong treatment.

Diet and nutrition rules

With gastritis with high acidity, the patient must follow certain nutritional rules:

  1. Cooking method: cooking (preferably steamed) baking without a crust.
  2. Food must be warm. Hot and cold meals are prohibited.
  3. You shouldn't overeat. Portion should be small.
  4. You need to eat 5-6 times a day at regular intervals.
  5. It is necessary to exclude from the diet: salty, spicy, fatty foods, sour fruits, rich broths.
  6. Dishes are consumed in pureed or chopped form. Boiled fish or lean meat can be served as a piece.

Tip: with an exacerbation of the disease, you will have to eat cereals on the water and rice water. When the condition improves, the rest of the dishes are gradually introduced.

You can eat:

  • vegetable soups and puree soups;
  • boiled or baked lean meats and fish;
  • cereals: buckwheat, semolina, oatmeal;
  • milk soups;
  • vermicelli, pasta;
  • kissels, compotes and jelly from sweet fruits with sugar;
  • non-acidic kefir and yogurt;
  • steam omelets, soft-boiled eggs;
  • vegetable oils;
  • herbs;
  • mild cheese;
  • milk;
  • cream.

We exclude:

  • fresh (especially sour) fruits and berries;
  • sour juices;
  • spicy dishes;
  • meat and mushroom broths;
  • legumes;
  • cereals: corn, millet, barley;
  • borscht;
  • okroshka;
  • pastry products;
  • sausages;
  • varieties of fish and meat with high fat content;
  • canned food;
  • cabbage;
  • radish;
  • pickled and pickled vegetables;
  • fresh bread.

It is worth noting that the diet for erosive gastritis of the stomach, for reflux gastritis or for gastroduodenitis (as well as for other types of gastrointestinal diseases associated with high acidity) excludes eating any fast food. This group of foods also includes muesli, which is often mistakenly considered a healthy diet, and hot dogs, pizzas and burgers loved by many, even cooked at home.

Folk recipes

In the treatment of gastritis with high acidity, in addition to diet and medicines, traditional herbal decoctions and infusions are often used, which have proven themselves well.

  • Honey to reduce stomach acid. Dissolve honey in warm water - it is known that a warm solution of honey perfectly reduces the acidity of the stomach, is quickly absorbed in the stomach and does not irritate the gastric mucosa. During the day, you need to drink about 150 g of honey solution. Take within one and a half to two months.
  • Freshly squeezed juice from raw potatoes. In the treatment of gastritis with high acidity, fresh raw potato juice has proven itself very well. If the doctor has not given any other recommendations, then in the morning you should drink ¾ cup of freshly squeezed juice from raw potatoes on an empty stomach. After taking the juice, you should lie down for about half an hour. You can have breakfast in an hour. The duration of the course of treatment is ten days. The course can be repeated up to three times, taking a break between courses for ten days.
  • Carrot juice. To reduce the acidity of the stomach, carrot juice is successfully used. For the preparation of juice, you should choose only fully ripened root crops rich in carotene and sugars. Freshly squeezed carrot juice should be taken in half a glass one hour before meals (one serving per day). After ten days of admission, take a ten-day break, then repeat the course.

A complex herbal collection to reduce stomach acidity. You will need:

  • Plant raw materials plantain leaves - 8 tablespoons;
  • Vegetable raw materials of cudweed grass - 8 tablespoons;
  • Herbal raw materials of St. John's wort - 8 tablespoons;
  • Vegetable raw materials of centaury herb - 4 tablespoons;
  • Vegetable raw materials mint leaves - 2 tablespoons;
  • Herbal raw materials of knotweed herb - 4 tablespoons;
  • Vegetable raw material calamus rhizome - 2 tablespoons;
  • Cumin fruits - 3 tablespoons;
  • Vegetable raw materials of yarrow herb - 1 tablespoon;
  • Boiling water - 1000 g.

Mix all herbs thoroughly. In an enamel or glass bowl, pour two tablespoons of the prepared collection with boiling water and insist for 12 hours. Strain. Take after meals four times a day for half a glass.

Prevention

The main preventive measure of gastritis with high acidity are measures to normalize the processes of secretion of hydrochloric acid.

  1. Refusal of hot, cold, spicy, fatty, heavy, fried foods.
  2. Avoiding overeating, fasting, eating dry food, "on the go."
  3. Refusal of alcohol, smoking.
  4. Rational nutrition - a sufficient amount of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins.
  5. Compliance with the terms and conditions of food storage - most diseases of the gastrointestinal tract begin with the words "what will they do in the refrigerator."
  6. Compliance with the diet - dinner no later than 4 hours before bedtime.
  7. Compliance with cooking technology.
  8. Taking medications only under medical supervision.
  9. Controlling your mental state.
  10. Compliance with the requirements of individual hygiene and sanitation - washing hands before eating, going to the toilet, regular wet cleaning of premises.
  11. Timely rehabilitation of the oral cavity, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of other body systems.

These rules are very important, they must be followed not only during the peak of the exacerbation of the disease, but also in everyday life. This will preserve the health of not only the stomach, but also all the organs of the digestive tract.
