Vitamin decoction of rose hips: cooking methods

The benefits of using wild rose will be maximum if you learn how to brew it correctly. Healing rosehip decoction - how to prepare it to preserve vitamins, antioxidants and other nutrients?

A "classic" tonic is a rosehip decoction prepared according to the following recipe:

100 g of well-peeled and washed fruits (prepared dry raw materials can be used) should be put in a saucepan, pour 1 liter of boiling water from a kettle, bring to a boil over full heat. Turn off the fire and leave to languish under the lid for about 12 hours (preferably overnight).

Caution: It is not necessary to steam the fruits with boiling water in a thermos to prepare a rosehip drink. Due to the fact that for many hours the temperature in the thermos does not fall, the valuable substances and compounds that the broth contains decompose and “die”. The metal coating of the thermos also has a negative effect - oxidation occurs. Outwardly and in taste, the drink practically does not differ from that prepared “according to the rules”, but in fact it is less useful.

Here is another recipe for rosehip broth, which is easy to prepare:

It will take 40 g of rose hips and raspberries. Raw materials should be poured with 0.5 liters of hot water, boiled and cooled. Before use, this decoction must be filtered. It is recommended to use it during the cold period, when there is a high risk of viral and colds, or for the prevention of beriberi.

Tip: for children, you can slightly sweeten the drink, but you should not get carried away with sugar.

Rosehip decoction recipe for anemia

It will take 100 g of whole dried fruits and 1 liter of boiling water. Bring to a boil and leave on low heat for 10 minutes. Strain the broth and cool. Drink with honey and lemon juice (200 ml of broth take 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice).

Tip: To avoid problems with your teeth after taking the decoction, you need to rinse your mouth with water (organic acids contained in rose hips can destroy sensitive tooth enamel).

For a slim figure

Rosehip decoction is an excellent remedy for weight loss. It has effective and mild laxative properties, cleanses tissues of edema and promotes the removal of excess fluid, normalizes water-fat metabolism.

The calorie content of rosehip broth is low, and the useful qualities are significant:

How to prepare a rosehip decoction that promotes cleansing and weight loss?

Recipe:

For 2 tbsp. crushed fruits will need 0.5 liters of pure water. Rosehips pour water and put in a water bath, bring to a boil and leave for 15 minutes. Then turn off the fire and cover with a lid. After 2-3 hours, the magic drink is ready. It should be drunk daily instead of water 1 hour before meals (up to one liter of decoction can be drunk per day). The course lasts three weeks. Do not add sugar! As a result of such a cleansing course, the body will get rid of harmful toxins, the intestines will gently cleanse, excess fluid will go away.

It should be remembered that the use of this drink in combination with a diet and rhythmic physical activity will help improve health and achieve the desired result - lightness, harmony, weight loss.

For the health of the expectant mother

Rosehip decoction during pregnancy will help replenish the natural balance of vitamins, which was disturbed due to a new condition for the woman's body. This is important, because the expectant mother is at risk of infectious diseases due to weakened immune defenses. In addition, such a drink will help overcome nausea and heartburn, which lemon or currants do not cope with so successfully. A decoction of rose hips is successfully used as a prophylactic against edema.

Recipe:

The daily portion of the decoction is prepared from 20 g of fruits and 0.5 liters of water. Raw rose hips should be crushed, poured with hot water and heated over low heat for 15 minutes. Cool, strain and take 2-3 times a day before meals.

Tip: It is useful for a pregnant woman to add other berries and fruits to the rosehip broth: blackcurrant, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, sea buckthorn. Nettle leaves, mint are combined with this drink.

Recall that any drugs, including those of plant origin, should be taken by the expectant mother with the knowledge of the attending physician.

For the health of babies and older children

Rosehip decoction during breastfeeding will help the mother to fill the deficiency of vitamins, improve the functioning of internal organs and glands, and help form the baby's immune defenses. Such a decoction should be prepared according to the "classic" recipe given in this article. Sweeteners are not recommended.

For babies, a rosehip decoction will be useful from 6 months. At this age, it is possible to accustom the baby to new types of food and drink, as the systems of his body gradually mature, the production of enzymes is being established. You should start with small doses, gradually increasing to 50 ml (in the absence of a negative reaction to the decoction).

For younger children and older kids, rosehip broth can also be prepared according to the following recipe:

For cooking, you will need a thermos with a glass flask or a glass jar with a lid. Take the components in a ratio of 1 tbsp. crushed rosehip raw materials in 250 ml of hot water (t = 60 ° C - no more!). Infuse the decoction in a thermos for 12 hours (for example, cook at night). This method is the most gentle, because, according to some researchers and doctors, at 60 ° C, the destruction of vitamin C begins.

Rosehip (or wild rose) is a very common medicinal plant. It is unpretentious, grows in many latitudes, it is easy to use in everyday life. All decoctions, infusions, teas and preparations with the addition of wild rose have a complex beneficial effect on the entire body. The pulp of rose hips contains the following useful components:

  • Vitamin C- about 20%. Among other vitamins, this one is considered the most powerful and useful against colds. It fights free radicals in the body by binding them and preventing tissue damage. Vitamin C also enhances the properties of other vitamins in the human body. It contains interferon, regulates lipid levels, carbohydrate metabolism and blood clotting, strengthens connective and bone tissues;
  • Tannins. It is tannins that help the body stop blood in case of blood loss, fight viruses and bacteria;
  • Vitamin B2. Contains riboflavin, which saturates the blood with oxygen, helping cells absorb it;
  • fruit acids. Renew the cells and skin of the human body;
  • Vitamin P Blood vessels must be elastic and work smoothly, it is vitamin P that helps them. It also contains the substance rutin, which equalizes pressure, expanding or narrowing the vessels. Helps relieve puffiness, allergies and fights viruses;
  • Flavonoids. In combination with vitamin C, flavonoids acquire the properties to strengthen and increase the resistance of body tissues. This means that the amount of edema will decrease, and it will be more difficult for infections and bacteria to enter the body;
  • Vitamin P.P. Vitamin PP helps the body to better absorb vegetable protein. Improves coal metabolism, peristalsis and stomach function;
  • Tannins. A very strong natural antidote that can even reduce the effects of mercury and lead poisoning on the body;
  • Vitamin K Helps to quickly heal tissues, enhancing regeneration and blood clotting. Contains the substance phylloquinone, which helps the work of the liver, heart, intestines and stomach, and also participates in the work of "breathing" of cells;
  • Linoleic acid. Aligns hormonal and water balance in the body, helping to reduce weight;
  • Carotene. It is carotene that most strongly enhances human immunity, so that it is less susceptible to colds, viral and infectious diseases. Participates in the reproductive function of the body;
  • pectin substances. Balances blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Reduces the risk of cancer.

Rosehip seeds contain fatty oil, vitamin E, salts of potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese and phosphorus, as well as carotene. The leaves and roots contain a lot of tannin.

  • the tendency of the body to form blood clots and the development of thrombophlebitis;
  • high acid gastritis;
  • duodenal ulcer;
  • stomach ulcer;
  • inflammation of the inner lining of the heart - endocarditis;
  • despite the hypoallergenicity of the fruits of the plant, sometimes they can cause intolerance.
For people who suffer from diabetes, it is not the drink itself that is contraindicated, but the addition of sugar to it.

How to make an infusion

The usefulness of wild rose is so high that the substances necessary for the normal functioning of the body are contained not only in its berries, but also in other parts of the plant. Consider how to properly prepare infusions from this plant.

From the petals

The petals of the plant are a storehouse of useful substances for the skin and all kinds of cosmetic liquids and products are prepared from them.

Regular recipe

Pour two tablespoons of petals with one glass of boiling water in a suitable container, cover with a dense cloth for about half an hour. The resulting infusion is filtered and bottled in small clean bottles. After cooling, the liquid can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week to rub it on the skin.
cold recipe

Petals (2 tablespoons) are filled with mineral water (0.5 l) for a day. Next, the infusion is filtered and frozen in ice molds. Such ice cubes can be carried out on the skin of the face. For oily skin, a salted mineral water is taken - "Essentuki" or "Narzan", and for dry skin, neutral grades of water are suitable.

Important! The application of this recipe involves the removal of carbon dioxide from mineral water. To do this, the bottle is shaken, its contents are poured into a wide container (for example, a saucepan) and settled for about an hour before pouring the petals.

Facial Tonic Recipe

Fresh petals of 2-3 flowers are poured for 20 minutes with a quarter cup of boiling water, where a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of lemon juice are then introduced. The finished composition is applied to the face with a cotton swab and washed off after 15 minutes.

From the roots

Rosehip roots have a number of medicinal properties, such as being astringent, diuretic, and choleretic, and are considered a strong antioxidant. In many herbalists you can find healing recipes using the roots of this culture.

Peeled, washed and dried roots are lightly fried in the oven, crushed with a blender and used as an additive to the tea leaf when making tea. To improve the taste and healing properties, you can add dried leaves of the same plant.

Decoction

Two tablespoons of crushed roots are boiled for 15 minutes in 0.5 liters of water, after which they are wrapped for two hours. The remedy is taken before meals for half a glass, three times a day.

from the leaves

Trace elements and useful substances in rose hips are also found in its leaves, and this part of the plant differs from fruits and roots in composition and contains vitamins B1, K, P, caffeic and vanillic acids. The leaves of the plant are useful for stabilizing the condition with colds, with problems with the gastrointestinal tract (exacerbation of ulcers and gastritis, diarrhea), to improve the functioning of the stomach. Rosehip leaves, with their healing properties, have long been used both independently and as part of various herbal teas.

A teaspoon of dried or a bunch of fresh leaves is brewed for 10 minutes in a glass of boiling water. Then the infusion is filtered and drunk with sugar or honey. In diabetes, stevia is added to tea instead of sugar.
Rosehip infusion prepared in a thermos has good qualities. The drink turns out well in containers with a glass flask, where the berries are steamed in a neutral environment. Dried fruits are kneaded and put into a flask - a tablespoon of berries is poured with a glass of boiling water.

Important!When adding water, make sure there is room for air.

After 6-8 hours, the drink can be consumed.

What else can you make an infusion with?

Rosehip is not the only plant from the nature around us that has miraculous properties. Many cultures are almost incomparable among themselves, since the benefits of each of them are unique, although to some extent they have something in common with each other.

This plant is a close relative of the rosehip from the same Rosaceae family. Despite not the most positive fame, due to the availability of its alcohol tincture in pharmacy chains, hawthorn is not inferior to its more popular relative in the healing properties of both berries and leaves. It is able to help the human body fight many diseases and has diuretic, antispasmodic, hypotensive, cardiotonic and vasodilating properties.

Recipe: a tablespoon of berries is poured with a glass of boiling water, heated in a water bath for 15 minutes, cooled and filtered. The rest is squeezed out and added to the infusion.

Reception: half a glass half an hour before each meal.

The taste of viburnum berries is a debatable issue, but it cannot be taken away from its excellent medicinal properties. A folk saying is dedicated to this plant: “whoever is friendly with viburnum, he does not need a doctor.” Berry and restores strength, and has an astringent effect on bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, and strengthens the immune system.

Recipe: a tablespoon of dry viburnum berries is crushed, poured with a glass of boiling water and infused for four hours.

Reception: 100 ml before meals.

Currant berries contain many vitamins. When describing the medicinal properties, we are talking mainly about blackcurrant, but its relatives in appearance (red, white) are also not far behind in usefulness. Currant in the form of an infusion of berries and leaves can reduce the irritating effect of stomach problems and thus improve appetite.

Recipe: 4 tablespoons of dried currants pour 0.5 liters of boiling water, boil for 5 minutes and wrap for an hour.

Reception: half a cup half an hour before meals.

In addition to helping with healthy digestion, like all the plants described above, mint can ease digestion problems and eliminate the symptoms of nausea as well as kidney stones. Drinks with mint tone up, relax and relieve stress.

Recipe: 2 teaspoons of dried mint are poured into a glass of boiling water, infused for 30 minutes and filtered.

Reception: a third cup of infusion 20 minutes before meals.

Rules of use

The use of the drink has some differences for children and adults. It is clear that all alcohol forms of therapeutic agents are not applicable at a young age, but the composition of rosehip preparations itself has some age restrictions.

For adults

The basic rule for adults in the use of rosehip infusion in any recipe is moderation. As mentioned above, with the undoubted beneficial properties of this remedy, it also has contraindications not only for certain diseases, but also for the use of large volumes of such a drink. For example, in case of cholelithiasis, the infusion can provoke the movement of stones from the liver into the bile ducts, clogging them, therefore, before starting therapy, you should consult a doctor who will determine the correct form and dosage of rose hips.

For kids

Naturally, in the case of children, any remedy must be used even more carefully. Drinks with rose hips should be added to complementary foods no earlier than the baby reaches the age of 8 months. Their volume should not exceed 100 ml per day, and it should be a decoction. Infusion can be given in the same dosage at the age of not earlier than a year. Also, do not forget about the diuretic effect and do not give the drug to the child in the evening, in order to avoid sleep disturbance.

Did you know? During the excavations of the most ancient settlements on the territory of modern Switzerland, it was found that already in the Ice Age, people ate dog rose hips.

How long can the infusion be stored?

The drink can be stored in the refrigerator or in a dark and cool basement for 2-3 days. For storage, it is best to use a container with a tight lid, excluding the introduction of foreign objects into the product - spoons, glasses, etc.

Rosehip can help the body of both an adult and a child with many health problems, because it contains many useful substances. Proper use of its resources will alleviate the symptoms and eliminate the cause of some ailments without the use of official and expensive drugs, and in the absence of diseases, tea from the fruits of the plant will be an excellent basis for the development of strong immunity.

Rosehip is a medicinal plant that belongs to the Rosaceae group and has more than three hundred species. The shrub is very common in the northern part of the country, it can also be found in Siberia and Kazakhstan.

The wild rose has numerous health benefits. This feature is known not only to traditional healers, but also to modern doctors, as well as specialists in the field of cosmetology.

Medicinal properties

The fruits of the shrub contain a huge amount of ascorbic acid. There is a hundred times more of it in them than in apples, and ten times more than in currant berries. Taking a certain amount of drink daily, You can saturate the body with vitamin C for the whole year ahead. Therefore, rose hips are highly valued all over the world.

The list of beneficial medicinal properties is endless, because the berries contain a large amount of vitamin B, PP, C, provitamin A, organic acids, esters, various trace elements (magnesium, iron, sodium, calcium, chromium, potassium and others).

The human body is designed in such a way that it is not capable of producing ascorbic acid on its own. Every day for a full existence, an adult needs 30-50 milligrams of this vitamin. With active physical and mental stress - 100 milligrams. The same amount of ascorbic acid is necessary for a pregnant woman. It is worth noting that one hundred grams of dry rosehip berries contain about 1 g of vitamin.

With a lack of ascorbic acid in the body, a person begins to quickly get tired, working capacity, appetite decrease, the body often freezes, and the body cannot resist colds. The use of rosehip drinks improves the intestinal microflora, protects against the development of purulent processes and poisoning with toxins that enter the body from the intestines.

Vitamin A is responsible for vision and eye health. The lack of this substance leads to "night" blindness, color blindness and general visual impairment. Rose hips contain a fairly large amount of provitamin A.

With regular use of drinks from the fruits of this shrub, vision improves, the condition of the integumentary tissue normalizes. In children, bone growth and strengthening of the skeleton is accelerated.

Vitamin P in terms of biochemical properties is quite similar to ascorbic acid. In addition, vitamins C and P cannot exist separately, they complement and enhance each other's actions in the human body.

One hundred grams of wild rose fruits contain about 700 mg of vitamin P. For a normal existence, a person needs to take up to 35 mg of vitamin per day.

With the optimal amount of vitamin in the body, pressure normalizes and the development of atherosclerotic action is prevented.

Vitamin K normalizes blood clotting and promotes the formation of ATP. An adult needs to receive a vitamin up to three milligrams per day daily. 100 grams of dried rosehip contains 1 mg.

The average daily intake of thiamine is 2 mg. Rosehip tea or decoction can only act as a dietary supplement. The main sources of vitamin B are milk, cereals, meat and legumes.

Vitamin B2 is indispensable for children and adolescents. He is responsible for protein metabolism, bone growth and normalization of vision. Riboflavin is present in rose hips, but it is not enough to fully meet the needs of the body. Therefore, it is recommended, in addition to drinks from berries, to consume dairy products, vegetables, fruits and bakery products daily.

Vitamin E has a beneficial effect on the thyroid gland, digestion processes and helps to synthesize carotene into vitamin A. The well-known beauty vitamin slows down the aging process, improves skin condition and strengthens muscles.

Benefits of drinking

Among the ancient Slavs, the wild rose was a symbol of youth, beauty and love. But even today, in many countries, rose hips are considered sacred.

In addition to the berries themselves, people use other parts of the plant. Rosehip roots contain tannins and have astringent properties. They also do an excellent job with ailments associated with the kidneys and gallbladder. Baths with root particles relieve fatigue and swelling in the legs.

The seeds have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects. Often, oils are made from them. The petals contain ester, which is very similar to rose oil. Particularly useful are decoctions from various parts of a wild rose for a child and an elderly person.

The magical properties of wild rose help to cope with the flu, colds, SARS. Wild rose improves blood circulation in the vessels of the brain and promotes the treatment of the bronchi. Such properties perfectly strengthen the immune system and protect pregnant women and children during epidemics.

Women in the first trimester of pregnancy very often suffer from toxicosis of various degrees. There is nausea, headache, weakness. The sour taste of wild rose can easily eliminate these symptoms and alleviate the general condition during this difficult period.

In the last trimester, expectant mothers experience swelling of the limbs and face. This trouble in the body occurs due to excessive accumulation of water and becomes dangerous for both the fetus and the woman. Therefore, it is necessary to immediately get rid of puffiness.

Rosehip has a diuretic property and does an excellent job of removing excess fluid from the body. It normalizes kidney function. With regular and proper use of infusion or decoction, edema disappears, and the weight and condition of the woman returns to normal.

Rosehip oil promotes the healing of wounds, injuries, microcracks on the hands and lips. It can be used for dry skin of the body and face. And also it is indispensable during pregnancy, as it helps to get rid of stretch marks on the abdomen, chest and limbs.

Oils from dry rosehip petals and berries will be very useful for adults with stomatitis and gum disease. Also, this tool will help get rid of various inflammations on the skin and contribute to rejuvenation.

The most suitable period for taking decoctions, tinctures, tea with rose hips and other parts of it is winter. In summer, it is best to take a break and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, which are also rich in nutrients, vitamins and amino acids.

Contraindications and harm.

Despite the huge number of useful properties, rose hips, like any other natural product, have a number of contraindications for use. Before you independently take decoctions and infusions from berries or give them to children, you should consult with your doctor.

A large amount of ascorbic acid contained in berries can cause itching, redness and rash in people prone to allergic reactions. It is also not recommended to take rose hips in any form for heartburn and increased acidity of the stomach.

For people suffering from gastritis, hypertension, serious diseases of the cardiovascular system, thrombophlebitis, endocarditis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, preparations containing rose hips are strictly prohibited.

With caution and only on the recommendation of a doctor, you can drink rosehip decoctions after surgery on the gallbladder. The maximum amount of healing fluid in this case is one cup per day. After a seven-day course, you need to take a break for one to two weeks. It must be remembered that after taking a decoction of wild rose, you need to rinse your mouth with warm boiled water. This action protects the enamel of the teeth and prevents their special sensitivity.

Rosehip should not be abused even by healthy people who want to strengthen the immune system. Everything should be in moderation. It is necessary to drink infusions and decoctions in acceptable quantities, and between courses it is necessary to take breaks lasting one to two weeks.

If the crushed parts of the rosehip are used in the preparation of drinks, then the liquid must be carefully filtered before use. Otherwise, hairs and villi that have entered the body can bring discomfort and quite strongly affect the mucous membranes, irritating them.

Rosehip during pregnancy must be taken with caution, like any other drug. Before the course of treatment, of course, you need a consultation with a gynecologist and his approval.

Very often, expectant mothers think that natural products cannot harm their body and fetus. But actually it is not. For example, rose hips can greatly affect the course of pregnancy if a woman has an individual intolerance to any substances or is prone to allergic reactions.

How to brew to preserve vitamins?

Despite the fact that rosehip grows only in certain latitudes, it will not be difficult to buy it in any part of the world. Many people have already managed to appreciate the numerous properties of this plant and have learned to prepare various decoctions, infusions and teas on their own.

When brewing a wild rose, it is necessary to take into account many subtleties, which, unfortunately, only a few know about. Most often, in the preparation of various drinks, dried berries are used, which can be purchased at any time of the year in pharmacies and specialized stores. It is necessary to remember the same proportion for all drinks: fifteen whole berries for two and a half glasses of liquid.

Before cooking, all fruits must be sorted out and checked for quality. The berries should be burgundy in color, without spots, mold and other flaws. If the rosehip is black and crumbles in the hands, then you can not take such fruits. They have no value and do not contain vitamins and nutrients.

Rosehip should always be thoroughly rinsed with running water before brewing. To prepare a drink, enameled dishes, a teapot, a thermos or a slow cooker are suitable, which must be scalded with boiling water. The dose must be calculated so that it is enough for a day, but no more.

Before drinking the drink, it is necessary to insist the berries for at least ten hours. In this case, the dishes should be well wrapped or tightly closed.

Pounded fruits give up to 90% of ascorbic acid to the drink. But with this application, there is one significant drawback - these are hairs that irritate the mucous membrane and leave an unpleasant residue in the mouth. They can even get into the eyes when processing rose hips and cause itching.

To create a valuable drink, grind the fruits with a coffee grinder, blender, meat grinder or a simple wooden mortar. You can use various methods and devices for this process. The main thing is that they are comfortable and effective.

Prepared berries should be poured into any dish scalded with boiling water and poured with hot water. It is necessary to insist the liquid for 7-8 hours, and then carefully strain. To cleanse the infusion of hairs, a dense and clean cloth is ideal. But the strainer and gauze will be powerless here.

Infusing rosehip in a thermos is not only convenient, but also effective. The drink is not boiled, so the properties of the berries are not lost. And also the infusion can be easily taken with you in a container to work, nature and to any other place. To save vitamins when preparing the infusion and save time, you need to crush dry berries with a mortar and pour them into a thermos. Then pour boiling water.

For effective treatment and prevention of diseases, it is necessary to observe the correct proportions. They must match one to ten. That is, for one tablespoon of ground rosehip berries, you need to take ten tablespoons of water.

The infusion can be kept in a thermos for up to 12 hours, and then carefully strain. Adults should take a warm or cold infusion one cup daily before meals. Children under 12 are recommended to drink half a glass a day. You can store a medicinal drink in the refrigerator, but not more than two days. After straining, you can repeat the procedure with these berries, but this should be done no more than two times.

For taste and a greater therapeutic effect, various berries, honey or a few slices of lemon can be added to the infusion. But it is worth remembering that honey should not be put in a hot drink. It is best to add it in a teaspoon to the cooled infusion immediately before use.

If the drink turned out to be too strong, then it must be diluted with boiling water to the desired consistency. An infusion in a thermos will be very useful for people suffering from problems with the kidneys, liver and gastrointestinal tract.

You can make a healthy and tasty decoction without using a thermos. But in this case, it will not be so saturated and concentrated.

The proportions must be taken all the same as when cooking in a thermal dish. Next, put everything in a bowl. Pour the mixture with cold water and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and leave to languish for another ten minutes. Turn off the stove and leave to infuse for about two hours, then strain well. You can take such a decoction daily 2-3 times half a cup, but not more than two weeks in a row.

And you can get a drink in an easier way. To do this, pour chopped rose hips with boiling water and cover with a lid. After an hour, it is recommended to strain the infusion and drink it.

In modern household miracle technology - a slow cooker, with proper preparation, the beneficial properties of rose hips are revealed especially strongly. For a drink, you need two palms of berries and two liters of water. Pure and sorted berries need to be filled with water, select the desired mode from two suitable ones and leave for several hours.

In the "Extinguishing" mode, the wild rose should be filled with cold water, turn on the slow cooker for 2 hours. At the end of the program, leave the berries to infuse for another 5-7 hours.

In the "Heating" mode in the evening, you need to put the berries in the multicooker bowl, pour the liquid with a temperature of up to sixty degrees and leave to languish until the morning.

Recipes

To date, there are a huge number of different recipes for preparing berries and other parts of the rosehip. Many of them are unusual with an original taste, but of course, they are all useful.

You can get creative with rosehip-based drinks and products and come up with your own recipe.

From the petals

A very interesting and simple dried rosehip product is oil. It has choleretic, wound healing, firming and anti-inflammatory properties.

To prepare the oil, you need to take one glass of dried rosehip petals, one glass of olive or vegetable oil, two tablespoons of dried wild rose berries. Mix everything thoroughly and put to boil in a water bath. You need to cook butter at a low stove power for two hours. Then strain the finished product and pour into a container suitable for storage. This oil can be kept in the refrigerator for quite a long time.

From fruits

Surely many have bought or seen rosehip syrup in pharmacies. Such a healthy, tasty and sweet product can be easily prepared on your own at home.

To do this, you need to take 1 kilogram of fresh berries, 1 kilogram of granulated sugar and 6 glasses of cold water.

Fresh fruits need to be sorted out, cleaned of seeds, leaves and hairs. Rinse well under running water and grind. You can use any tool at hand: coffee grinder, mortar, meat grinder, blender.

Pour crushed berries with six glasses of cold water and boil for ten minutes over low heat. Then add a kilogram of granulated sugar and continue to cook for about 60 minutes. Such a decoction must be cooled, filtered and poured into containers convenient for drinking and storage.

You can experiment with syrup for every taste. For example, children will certainly enjoy an ice cream-based cocktail. To do this, mix the syrup, any fruit melted ice cream and birch sap in a blender.

The proportions can be completely different, to your taste. For one baby cup, you can take one tablespoon of syrup, 20 grams of ice cream and 1/4 cup of juice. The drink should be poured into cups and decorated. If children do not like birch sap, then you can take any other.

To make marmalade from fresh berries, one kilogram of fruit should be sorted out, cleaned of excess and washed under running water. Boil until soft and grind with a sieve. In a saucepan, mix the puree with 600 grams of granulated sugar and cook until the mixture thickens. Pour the hot mass into containers, allow to cool and store in the refrigerator.

You can also make a drink with raisins. In any convenient way, grind three tablespoons of rose hips and cover with three glasses of hot water. Cover the infusion tightly and wait thirty minutes. Filter, but do not throw out the pomace of the berries, but pour again with two glasses of hot liquid.

Cover the drink with a lid and remove for thirty minutes. Then filter again and mix the two tinctures together. Add pre-washed and soaked raisins to taste.

There is another no less original recipe from wild rose berries, nuts and honey. To prepare a drink, you need to pour three tablespoons of berries into five cups of boiling water. Leave for half an hour and strain. Add 5-10 walnuts and three tablespoons of honey to the cooled drink.

From the root

In a shrub, not only berries, but also other parts have healing properties. For example, a root, a decoction of which is recommended to be brewed and used for cystitis, stomach and intestinal disorders, spasms and pain in the lower body.

Rosehip root is sold dried in pharmacies or specialized departments, but you can prepare this part of the plant yourself. For various drinks, only fibrous roots with herbs are used, which diverge above the ground in different directions. Such shoots are carefully cut, washed thoroughly, processed and cut for further drying.

In order to prepare the infusion, it is necessary to grind the root in any convenient way and pour boiling water over it. Let it brew for 2-3 hours and consume. For one teaspoon of dry, pounded roots, you need to take a glass of liquid.

With hawthorn

Very often, with insomnia, other sleep disorders, heart rhythm disturbances, hypertension and nervous tension, experts recommend a rosehip drink with hawthorn.

Tea

There is a very old recipe for tea made from rose hips and its petals. Its taste is refined and fragrant. Crush the fruits of the shrub, place in a saucepan and pour two cups of boiling water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and wait three minutes. Add a handful of dry petals to hot tea, cover and let stand for twenty minutes.

The drink should be well filtered and you can immediately drink it.

Tea with rose hips is prepared in the same way as a regular black or green drink. For one serving, you need to take three fresh fruits or five dry ones. Pour boiling water over and leave for 5-6 minutes. Strain thoroughly with cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Rosehip tea has less benefit than many hours of infusion or decoction, but, nevertheless, it is rich in vitamins and trace elements. These berries can replace the usual tea leaves.

For colds, you can brew tea in the above way, but instead of petals, add fresh or dried viburnum or raspberry berries. Such tea will relieve fever, headache and warm with chills. If there is no high temperature, then you can add a spoonful of natural honey to a warm infusion and drink it right before going to bed.

For children in the off-season or to recuperate after an illness, a multivitamin tea is the best option. To prepare it, you will need any clean and sorted berries, a handful of rosehip leaves and 2 glasses of water.

  • A tasty and healthy decoction of fresh fruits can be prepared only for two weeks in September. It is during this period that wild rose berries become ripe and full of vitamins.
  • Fresh rose hips can be crushed for the most healthy drink or boiled whole. But in this case, it is always necessary to cut the fruit into two halves and remove the core. Otherwise, there is a risk of severe irritation of the mucous membrane with hairs that are inside the fetus.
  • It is recommended to filter tea, infusion or decoction with gauze folded in several layers, or through a fine sieve.
  • A drink made from fresh fruits can be taken no more than two cups per day. In the morning, to cheer up, it is best to add a slice of lemon or its juice to it. But in the evening for relaxation - a spoonful of honey.
  • To tone the body, it is necessary to use an infusion or decoction of wild rose in the morning on an empty stomach, about 20-30 minutes before a meal.
  • If it is necessary to remove bile and excess fluid from the body, it is recommended to drink rosehip infusion three times a day on an empty stomach, one third of a glass. And only after 20-30 minutes to start eating.
  • To remove kidney stones, you need to drink a warm drink five tablespoons 2-3 times a day. This should be done on an empty stomach 15-20 minutes before meals.
  • To eliminate heavy and painful uterine bleeding, it is recommended to use a decoction of the roots of a bush for half a cup before each meal.
  • A child can be given a decoction of wild rose, starting from six months, but not more than one hundred milliliters per day. This healthy drink is especially necessary for a growing body.

It is worth remembering that the beneficial properties of fruits include the removal of excess fluid from the body. Therefore, any drinks containing rose hips should not be given to young children before bed at night.

Since vitamin C negatively affects tooth enamel (it is destroyed), then it is best for children to drink infusions, teas and decoctions only through a straw. In addition, straws contribute to better absorption of beneficial properties.

In addition to the main parts of the shrub, flower petals can also be used. They help with skin irritations, protect against infections and eliminate pain. Also, an infusion of petals is advised to be used for inflammation of the eyes and the appearance of pus in them.

The petal preparation is used as a lotion that refreshes, nourishes and tones dry skin. Infusions prepared with one's own hands cannot be stored for more than a day, since the longer they stand, even in a cold place, the less useful substances remain in them, but at the same time, their decay products that are undesirable for the body appear.
