Dietary supplements for the treatment of gastritis. Prevention and treatment of the gastrointestinal tract Good bacteria are necessary for the normal functioning of the stomach and intestines

The state of the whole organism depends on the work of the gastrointestinal tract. The better and more harmoniously the organs of this system of vital activity work, the healthier a person feels. Argo offers you bowel normalizers and stomach, which will help people who have certain problems in the digestive system and those who feel completely healthy to prevent the occurrence of any abnormalities.

Good bacteria are necessary for the normal functioning of the stomach and intestines!

The first, and perhaps one of the most important problem is the disturbed microflora of the stomach and intestines. This violation can occur due to poor-quality food, taking medications and antibiotics, a protracted illness, stress, etc. Therefore, an important task is to restore the normal microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. For this, means are intended to normalize the functioning of the intestines - probiotics containing the most important for the gastrointestinal tract lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, as well as other beneficial bacteria, which are presented in a large assortment on our website and in those forms of release that are most preferred. These are Acidophilus sweets, tablets, powders and capsules that will appeal to adults and children, and most importantly your stomach. Probiotics inhibit the development of harmful bacteria, help cleanse the intestines, improve the absorption of nutrients, protect the mucous membrane, and restore the acid-base balance in the body.

In addition to the intake of probiotics in the body, it is important ensure the normal development and nutrition of beneficial bacteria. This requires prebiotics - to normalize the functioning of the stomach and intestines and at the same time food for beneficial bacteria. These are calcium alginate, Enteroleptin, Nutrikon, Fukoksan, Super Colon Cleans (increases intestinal peristalsis). They not only contribute to the development of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, but also provide vital nutrients to the entire body.

To normalize the functioning of the digestive tract, it is important to take antioxidants!

To normalize the gastrointestinal tract except for the restoration of microflora antioxidants play an important role, they contain a large amount of digestive enzymes and significantly improve the functioning of the digestive system. Such remedies for the normalization of the work of the intestines and stomach include Bitter cocktail with wormwood, Achilles, plantain extract, oils: Rejuvenating, Heroic, Healing, Liquid chlorophyll and many others. These funds will not only improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, but will strengthen the entire body, increase its stress resistance to external factors, immunity and general tone.

Don't forget fiber!

Important food item to normalize the gastrointestinal tract- it's fiber. It protects the colon from various diseases, prevents the development of cancer. At Argo, fiber is contained in Nutrikon, a preparation that can provide the daily intake of dietary fiber at any time of the year. Unlike fruits and vegetables, it does not contain nitrates and does not cause increased gas formation, which is typical when consuming these products. In case of contraindications for the consumption of fiber, it is possible to use products of the Litovit series as a replacement, which contain bran and, in addition to the function of normalizing the work of the gastrointestinal tract, help cleanse the body of toxins and toxins, improve the absorption of nutrients contained in food. The unique product Litovit S combines almost all of the above useful properties of the means for normalizing the work of the stomach and intestines - bran, beneficial bacteria and a sorbent.

Chapter 2

For the overall health of the human body, the health of the gastrointestinal tract is of great importance. Optimal health lies in the fact that the human body digests food well and removes toxins. If various toxic substances accumulate in the intestines, then a person may develop a number of diseases, such as peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, dysbacteriosis, constipation, diverticulitis, various inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, with frequent exacerbations.

In this chapter I would like to consider the anatomical and physiological features of the digestive organs.

As you know, digestion begins in the oral cavity, then food moves through the pharynx and esophagus to the stomach, duodenum, small and large intestines.

When eating, a powerful mechanism of digestion is activated. It is very important to chew food thoroughly - 20-30 times, since food must enter the stomach in the form of gruel. Food that enters the stomach in pieces is digested ten times worse.

Normally, from 0.5 to 2 liters of saliva is produced per day, secreted by three pairs of large and many small salivary glands; its pH is about 7.

When chewing, food is saturated with saliva, and with proper chewing, a liquid homogeneous mass is formed, due to which there are minimal costs for further digestion. Saliva enzymes break down mainly starches. Saliva has a chemical and bactericidal effect on food. Then the food from the mouth through the pharynx enters the esophagus, where active salivary digestion continues.

The esophagus is a four-layer muscular tube 22–30 cm long. Due to the wave-like contractions of its walls, liquid food moves through it and enters the stomach.

Digestion of food when it enters the stomach is determined by its quantity and composition. Depending on the concentration and combination with other products, alcohol, excess water, glucose, salt can be absorbed immediately.

In the stomach, the bulk of what is eaten is exposed to the action of gastric juice, which contains a number of enzymes secreted by special cells, and hydrochloric acid. 2-3 liters of juice stand out. For each digestion, the composition of the juice is different.

Pepsin is the main enzyme in the stomach that breaks down proteins.

Food moves to the exit from the stomach as the protein part is digested. In this regard, food enters the duodenum already in the form of an almost homogeneous semi-digested slurry. In the submucosal layer of the duodenum there are glands, the secret of which contributes to the further breakdown of carbohydrates and proteins; its inner surface is covered with many villi.

The duodenum is important because the main pancreatic duct and the common bile duct open into its cavity, through which bile produced by the liver enters.

Since bile completely stops the action of gastric juice, gastric digestion becomes intestinal (pH of bile - 7.4). During the day, the liver produces up to 1 liter of bile. It emulsifies fats - it forms an emulsion with them.

The pancreas performs two functions - endocrine (the hormones insulin, glucagon, etc. are produced), and exocrine, as a result of which 500–700 ml of pancreatic juice is produced per day into the duodenum.

Pancreatic juice is needed for the digestion of fats, proteins, carbohydrates; its pH ranges from 7.6 to 8.2 (alkaline). It contains a number of enzymes (amylase, lipase, etc.).

The duodenum passes into the small intestine 5–6 m long, which has transverse villi and folds, due to which its absorption capacity is greatly increased. With the help of coordinated movements of the folds and villi, food masses move and nutrients are absorbed through them. Only inside the walls of the intestinal cells does the final breakdown of food and the process of absorption take place. This is called parietal or membrane digestion.

In other words, the nutritional components already highly crushed in the intestine under the action of pancreatic juice and bile penetrate between the villi of the intestinal cells. The villi form a very dense border, so that the surface of the intestine is inaccessible to large molecules and especially bacteria.

Over 5 m of the small intestine, food is completely digested, and fragments of nutrients are divided into elementary components - fatty acids, amino acids, monosaccharides, which are absorbed and enter the bloodstream, but not into the general bloodstream. All blood from the stomach and intestines (thin and large) is collected in the portal vein and then passed to the liver. If the components entered the general circulation, then after the first meal a person could die. When food is broken down, in addition to useful compounds for the body, toxins are formed that are secreted by the intestinal microflora, various toxic and medicinal substances present in food.

Further, through the mucous valve, which prevents backflow, the remains of food slurry enter from the small intestine into the large intestine 1.5–2 m long, in which water absorption is completed and feces are formed, for which special mucus is secreted by the intestinal cells. 1/3 of the excreted feces consists of bacteria. There is a beneficial symbiosis between the human body and bacteria. At the same time, the microflora supplies vitamins, amino acids, some enzymes and other nutrients, and feeds on waste.

But this picture happens only in people with proper nutrition. And malnutrition (refined foods, mixed meals, all kinds of medicines, antibiotics) especially change the composition of the microflora. Putrefactive bacteria begin to predominate in the human body, and instead of vitamins, a person receives poisons.

With improper mixed nutrition, on average, about 4 kg of food mass passes from the small intestine to the large intestine, and about 150–250 g of feces are produced.

Currently, many people snack on the go with highly refined long-term storage products, experience frequent stress, which leads to problems with the digestive system. Often, in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, drugs are prescribed that, in addition to the therapeutic effect, have side effects. All this leads to slagging and damage to the mucous membrane of the small and large intestine, which is the cause of many human diseases.

To reduce the incidence of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract, compliance with the principles has a strong healing effect.

1. Limited use of a number of foodstuffs or their complete exclusion from the diet, such as: refined sugar, flour, all products containing them; mayonnaise, margarine; dry cereals, soups; peeled white rice; coffee, black teas. It is better to use green tea, herbal leaf infusions, drinks with chicory; alcoholic beverages containing more than 12% pure alcohol, tobacco; smoked meats, fatty pork, boiled sausages, offal; salt, marinades, seasonings (sauces, ketchup);

2. Physiological cycles of digestion: food intake from 12 to 18 hours; food is absorbed by the body from 21 to 4 in the morning; self-cleaning occurs from 4 to 12 noon;

It is possible to expand preventive and therapeutic possibilities by taking dietary supplements rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and a number of other important compounds for the normal functioning of the body, which are presented in this chapter.

Stomach- is a hollow muscle bag (its size is quite large = 2.5 liters on average). When the stomach is empty, it is shriveled. But when filling it with food, it can stretch to large sizes (2.3 or more times). Inside it is covered with a layer called the mucous membrane (its thickness is about 0.5 mm).

The stomach is made up of three main parts:

  1. A narrow strip, it is located at the transition from the esophagus to the stomach, is called the cardia.
  2. The main significant part of the organ includes the body of the stomach and the fundus of the stomach. This is where the actors are located, starting the digestion process with the participation of hydrochloric acid, pepsin, gastric lipase, salivary gland enzymes, food enzymes (these are fresh vegetables that have a set of enzymes for splitting).
  3. The final part of the stomach is the cardiac or pyloric section. Digestive function in this department is minimal. Its task is to prepare food and throw it into the duodenum.

If there is a problem with the stomach, it is important to understand which part of the organ bothers you. “Concepts such as gastritis or atrophy of the stomach are not literate, since it is important to clarify in which part of the stomach there is a problem” - says academician, professor of the Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. A person should not rely on a doctor 100%, he himself must understand his feelings.

The stomach is located mainly on the left side of the human body, but the exit from the stomach shifts to the right of the spine (it is important to pay attention to this in order to determine the zone of concern).

The meaning and role of the stomach

Temporary storage of solid food, primary processing of food, grinding, mixing, splitting large nutrients into small fragments for further absorption into the blood). Neutralization of foreign microorganisms (the stronger the function of the stomach, the more the body is protected from harmful bacteria and viruses. For example, Cholera disease - people fell ill with it, mainly with low digestive function of the stomach, which means an insufficient amount of hydrochloric acid is released, otherwise, with an abundance acid pests have no chance).

What substances are digested in the stomach?

  1. Dietary fiber - vegetable fibers (for people who have stomach problems, it is difficult to eat vegetables and foods containing dietary fiber, since the digestion process is difficult and uncomfortable). At this stage, we can help the stomach by introducing dietary supplements into the diet (as it can work in an acidic environment and help digestion).
  2. Protein (active digestion) - 10% of the protein food in the stomach is converted into amino acids.
  3. Fat (only initial digestion).

Everyone's stomach is built differently.(depends on the constitution, heredity and physiology of the individual). In this way allocate 3 types:

  1. Decreased stomach function- HYPOTROPHY OF THE COO (gastric mucosa) - delayed evacuation of food (it is strictly impossible for such people to overeat, because due to the low concentration of hydrochloric acid, the food simply will not have time to be digested, but will rot). Peptic ulcers are inherent in such people, for the same reason, a small concentration of hydrochloric acid cannot cope with harmful microorganisms).
  2. normal function– Eutrophy of the mucosal fluid (2 liters of gastric juice are secreted per day).
  3. Enhanced function– GI HYPERTROPHY - accelerated evacuation of food (such people are often called “iron stomach”, since they can eat everything and in large quantities (even nails), and feel great and do not get fat). Everything would be fine, but there is a but. Such people should be wary of the risk of duodenal ulceration due to the ingress of hydrochloric acid there (which comes from a high concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach).

ON A NOTE: in order to assess the potential of your stomach, you need a doctor to measure the thickness of the gastric mucosa. This is the most important parameter (without it, the biopsy and FGS conclusions are subjective, problems are not visible in such ways).

Now, What is gastritis, the concept that scares everyone ???

This is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach. In general, gastritis is an objective adequate reaction from the immune system. This is a protective reaction of the immune system to the action of an external aggressive factor (there are two of them: food and infectious (Helicobacter pylori bacterium), the stomach tries to expel the pathogen, therefore it becomes inflamed. Gastritis - a defensive reaction. In this case, it is important to find out the cause, the pathogen and remove it, then the inflammatory process will go away by itself.

Basically, speaking of the pathogen, we mean such an insidious bacterium, everyone knows - Helicobacter pylori. Why do you think it's called pylori? Because, it settles in the pyloric (arthral) part of the stomach - this is the section at the bottom of the stomach, which passes food further into the 12-colon. And she mastered this place, because she is very comfortable there, the pH balance is normal (the bacterium cannot live in the acidic environment of the main part of the stomach). Helicobacter has been living in the stomach for millions of years. There are different types of bacteria: non-aggressive (which do not cause discomfort to a person) and aggressive (dangerous, producing severe toxicity). It takes root in the case when the acidity of the stomach in humans is reduced.

Are diseases such as stomach ulcers or stomach cancer associated with the presence of Helicobacter ??? As practical-experimental experience shows, no (in 95% to 5% of test subjects it does not).

How to help yourself if you have a LOW digestive function of the stomach, a too thin layer of gastric mucosa (gastric mucosa), a decrease in enzymes??? Incidentally, this situation leads to dysplasia, hence oncology.

  1. Do not overload the stomach. Fractional food intake (more often, but in small portions).
  2. Emphasis in nutrition on easily digestible foods.
  3. Eat spicy, salty, pickled, spicy foods - which will stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid, pepsin and bile.
  4. Eat fresh fruits (in moderation), more vegetables and greens - this is a source of acid-resistant enzymes.
  5. Dietary supplement - a complex of proteases + digestive enzymes that increase the digestive function of the stomach.
  6. Dietary supplement - a complex of pancreatic enzymes.
  7. Dietary supplement - improving digestion, stimulating the secretion of bile and enzymes, relieves spasm.
  8. Vitamin-mineral complexes - - stimulates the secretion of hydrochloric acid, pepsin. Participates in the production of energy and starts all important processes in the body.
  9. Additional intake of VITAMIN B12.

How to help yourself if you have a HIGH digestive function of the stomach, the secretion of hydrochloric acid is always increased. For such people, heartburn is characteristic (hence, often this condition leads to a duodenal ulcer, stomach ulcer, diarrhea, etc.).

  1. Frequent and regular meals.
  2. Exclusion of spicy, salty, pickled.
  3. Suppression of acid hypersecretion (with the help of special preparations).
  4. The use of enveloping drugs, for example, Calcium Carbonate.
  5. Improving blood flow in the coolant (why, see below) - dietary supplement

"The most effective and successful in all respects anti-Helicobacter combination of drugs, researchers have yet to find."

G Tytgata

In recent years, medical practice has been using products for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. (NSP). The number of countries where NSP representatives successfully work has reached 42 and continues to grow.

The purpose of this work was to study the effectiveness of the use of some dietary supplements (parapharmaceuticals (phytopreparations) and probiotics) for the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), in particular: stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, erosive gastritis, duodenitis, etc.

Currently, more than 100,000 people with chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, stomach lymphoma and Menetrier's disease are registered and under observation in Kyiv. The etiological relationship of the above diseases with infection has been reliably proven. Helicobacter pylori , which is one of the most common in humans. From person to person Helicobacter pylori can be transmitted by fecal-oral and other routes (through poorly washed vegetables and fruits, contaminated water, kisses, and poorly sterilized medical instruments).

Infection frequency Helicobacter pylori different in developed and developing countries. So, for example, in developing countries, 10 to 75% are infected under the age of 20, and 64-96% at the age of 20-40, while in developed countries 6-39% and 7-54%, respectively. According to the Bik-Kyiv Center, it was found that the infection rate of the population of Ukraine Helicobacter pylori is 80-85%! This is one of the highest levels of this infection in the world.

To date, unfortunately, in Ukraine there has not been a large-scale study with the isolation of strains Helicobacter pylori and determination of their sensitivity to certain antibacterial drugs.

According to the Maastricht Agreement (1996) on eradication Helicobacter pylori (destruction of Helicobacter) the presence of type B gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers (in the active and inactive phase), ulcerative bleeding, low-grade MALT-lymphoma, conditions after resection for gastric cancer are strictly recommended indications for combined antihelicobacter therapy. The effectiveness of the applied schemes (the schemes are regulated by the order of the Ministry of Health of Russia, recommended in Ukraine) eradication reaches 90%.

However, the drugs used cause side effects in more than 50% of patients (dyspeptic syndrome, intestinal biocenosis disorders, skin allergic reactions, etc.)

The presence of side effects of "traditional" anti-Helicobacter therapy encourages the search for effective drugs that do not have side reactions and a wide range of contraindications.
Between May-September 2001, we examined 474 patients, and 49 of them received outpatient treatment with the use of products both in the form of complementary therapy and monotherapy.

The diagnosis was made on the basis of anamnesis, patient complaints, results of laboratory and instrumental research methods: esophagofibrogastroscopy (EFGDS) with biopsy, ultrasound of the abdominal organs, pH-metry, urease test (definition Helicobacter pylori ). A control examination by EFGDS for ulcerative and erosive pathology was carried out three weeks after the start of treatment.

For the treatment of patients, NSP products were used against the background of a sparing, fractional diet with carbohydrate restriction. 11 patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers, with high acidity (pH = 0.8-0.4), were also prescribed "Omez" at a dose of 20 mg 1 time per day (up to 14 days).

Patients with erosive and ulcerative pathology (23 cases) were prescribed as basic drugs in the first month of treatment ColloidalSilver as an antibacterial therapy, 1 teaspoon per 1 glass of water 2 times a day, 30 minutes before meals, through a straw; Chlorophyll Liquid- to improve reparative processes - 1 teaspoon per 1 glass of water 2-3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals. During the second month of treatment, HP Fighter.

With concomitant pathology (cholecystitis, duodeno-gastric reflux, hepatitis, anemia, dysbacteriosis), the following drugs were also used:

  • Alfalfa, Eight, Natur Lax - with reduced acid-forming function of the stomach;
  • Licorice Root, Stomach Comfort- with increased acid-forming function of the stomach;
  • Burdock- with cholecystitis with hyperkinesia of the gallbladder;
  • LivGuard- with chronic hepatitis and hepatosis;
  • Bifidophilus Flora Force- with dysbacteriosis;
  • Buplerum Plus- with pain syndromes;
  • Iron Chelat- with iron deficiency anemia.

As a result of treatment, all patients noted the disappearance of pain and other dyspeptic symptoms on the 2nd-4th day of treatment, the disappearance of bad breath, and improvement in well-being. Three weeks after the start of treatment, during a control examination by EFGDS (patients with erosive gastritis, duodenitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers), the gastric and duodenal mucosa was without signs of inflammation, ulcers were scarred without gross deformation of organs, erosion were absent. In one patient with erosive gastritis, who violated the diet (alcohol intake), healing of erosions was noted after 5 weeks of treatment (with "Omez").

Conclusions:

BAA company Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. are an effective remedy for the treatment of patients with gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, erosive gastritis, erosive duodenitis.

The healing time of ulcers and erosions in the treatment of them only with NSP dietary supplements does not differ from the treatment of these diseases with the Omez preparation.

Side effects in the treatment of dietary supplements Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. not found.

BAA company Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. can be recommended for the treatment of patients with gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, erosive gastritis, erosive duodenitis and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, both in the form of complementary therapy and as monotherapy.

Taking vitamins and dietary supplements has its own regimen. Some substances are better absorbed in the morning and before breakfast, some - between lunch and dinner, while others are best swallowed during meals. Together with experts, we understand the various intricacies of the use of such drugs.

Vitamins and dietary supplements before meals

If the package indicates that you need to take the pill before meals, and even better 30 minutes before, then this indicates that the drug enhances the production of gastric juice. Basically, such dietary supplements can be spirulina, enzymes and enzymes, choleretic herbs. If you take them with or after meals, nothing bad will happen, but the gastrointestinal tract will take more time to digest food and absorb the nutrients from the supplements into the intestines.

While eating

When our stomach secretes juice, the latter helps not only to break down food, but also to absorb vitamins and micronutrients. If you take dietary supplements on an empty stomach, there will be no particular harm, but there will be no benefit either. After all, all the active ingredients will pass through the stomach without much nutritional benefit. “There are dietary supplements or vitamins with an acid-resistant coating, so they can be taken almost at any time. If medicines do not have this property, I would recommend using them according to the instructions, for example, with food, and even better with food that contains at least a little fat, ”says Inna Sedokova, nutritionist and nutritionist.

Fat soluble vitamins

Fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K are best absorbed when consumed with a diet containing fat. This rule also applies to the intake of all oils and omega acids (omega 3, 6, 9, fish oil, evening primrose oil), alpha lipoic acid and coenzyme Q10.

Time of receipt

Loading doses of vitamins and dietary supplements are best taken in the morning and afternoon, that is, at breakfast and lunch. Particular attention should be paid to hyaluronic acid, since if you take it in the evening, there is a risk of getting a slight facial swelling in the morning. Also, all vitamins taken in the morning will be better absorbed by the body, since metabolism is higher at this time of day. The only drugs that are consumed after dinner are probiotics, which are drunk before bedtime and washed down with fermented milk products to create a favorable environment and their reproduction in the body. After probiotics, it is not recommended to eat food so that the bacteria take root.

Risk of overdose

Now the risk of overdose is zero, in many multivitamin complexes, and even more so dietary supplements, the content of active substances is not very high. “Multivitamins are always very low dosage. Accordingly, if a person actually had beriberi and he decided to start taking multivitamins, then he would simply not have enough of them. And it is pointless to prevent vitamins, the level of which is already in order. There is a preventive recommendation for vitamin D, but there really is no recommendation for the rest,” explains Yuri Poteshkin, Candidate of Medical Sciences, endocrinologist at the Atlas Medical Center.

Water-soluble and fat-soluble - how long do they stay in the body

Water-soluble vitamins (C, group B), folic acid, biotin leave our body almost on the same day, so it is believed that such vitamins in prophylactic doses can be drunk regularly. Fat-soluble vitamins should be taken 2-3 times a season depending on the goals, but in all cases, no matter how trite it may sound, it is better to consult a doctor. For example, in order to prescribe the actual dose of vitamin D, you need to know how much of it is already in the body. And for this you need to pass tests.

The diet fills in the gaps

In the book "Vitamania" Katherine Price says that we get all the necessary vitamins and minerals from food. Doctors also support this opinion, mentioning only folic acid, iron and vitamin D, which are desirable to drink separately, especially for girls. “For women, a B vitamin such as, for example, folic acid, can be really important, but this issue needs to be resolved with a doctor, since it is not prescribed in combination with a mass of other side vitamins that she may simply not need, but testimony. Of the trace elements, the female body also really needs iron, because every month women of reproductive age lose a certain amount of it. And it is very unlikely that a woman, with all her desire, will be able to make up for the lack of iron exclusively from food, ”says Yuri Poteshkin.

The combination of vitamins

Not all vitamins work well together. For example, many complexes contain almost the entire periodic table, however, when taken, one component can weaken the effect of another or completely nullify all nutritional properties. “When taking vitamins and dietary supplements, there are no clear prohibitions on their compatibility. But at the same time, it is worth knowing about the main incompatible elements in order to divide the reception for breakfast and lunch, for example. Microelements such as iron, manganese, zinc, and magnesium do not combine with each other. It is worth separating the intake of iron and vitamin E, B9 and zinc, beta-carotene and B2, but the latter gets along well with magnesium and even enhances its effect, ”says Olga Yablonskaya, immunologist, dietitian.

For example, iron should be consumed with vitamin C. According to a report published in the International Journal of Vitamin and Nutrient Research in 2004, vitamin C enhances iron absorption. And calcium needs to be taken with vitamin D. According to the NIH Osteoperosis National Resource Center, without vitamin D, the body cannot produce the hormone calcitriol, which calcium helps release.

beauty vitamins

Hyaluronic acid should be taken on an empty stomach or 2-3 hours after a meal. Collagen supplements are quite sensitive to gastric juice, so for better absorption, it is recommended to separate them from meals.

Herbs

Herbs to be taken before meals (10 to 20 minutes in advance) are bitter herbs that improve digestion or somehow promote more gastric acid production. The remaining herbal infusions are recommended to be taken 1-2 hours after a meal, as food contains fibers that impair their absorption. If the latter are saturated with multivitamins and minerals, then take them after meals.
