Garlic treatment of gynecological diseases. Sexually transmitted diseases

GARLIC IN GYNECOLOGY

This plant has long been used in the treatment of vaginal infections. They are usually caused either by those microorganisms that are normal microflora and are present in the vagina of a healthy woman, but sometimes their growth increases for some reason, or by those microorganisms that enter the vagina during sexual intercourse. With vaginal infections, redness, irritation and itching are possible, these unpleasant symptoms can even be severe and spread to the vulva. In severe cases, suppuration is possible.

It is very important at the first signs of illness to immediately consult a doctor who will find out what kind of infection you have and determine if you have caught a sexually transmitted disease. In any case, you should heed the advice of a doctor, and garlic treatment should be carried out as a concomitant factor.

The most typical cases are when the causative agents of vaginal infections are Trichomonas, Candida or Gardnerella. Trichomoniasis is sexually transmitted, and if left untreated, infertility will follow. When such a disease is detected, it is necessary, as in the case of other sexually transmitted diseases, to treat not only one person who has it, but also his partner.

Garlic has the ability to kill germs and is therefore effective for all kinds of vaginal infections. The best remedy is to carefully peel the clove of garlic from the husk so as not to damage its shell (remember that the slightest cut or scratch can irritate the vagina), lubricate the clove of garlic with vegetable oil and insert this kind of suppository into the vagina. Leave her there all night. For those who do not tolerate garlic or have a slight allergy to it, the indicated time should be reduced by half.

It is also good to make the following tampons for treatment: wrap a clove of garlic with sterile gauze dipped in vegetable oil, collect the gauze at the bottom and pull it off with a thread. Leave one long end of the thread hanging freely. Insert a garlic swab into your vagina. It is very easy to remove it by pulling on a thread.

In between sessions of garlic treatment, acidophilus capsules or suppositories can be used as a sedative.

In cases where vaginal infections are caused by an overgrowth of the candida fungus (candidiasis), such garlic suppositories should be inserted not only into the vagina, but also into the anus. This is due to the fact that candida simultaneously appears not only in the vagina, but also in the intestines. That is why it is recommended to use not only garlic candles, but also use garlic capsules in the shell inside. The shell is destroyed only in the intestines, so the garlic in it directly affects the microorganisms.

So that the infection does not again get from the intestines into the vagina, it is also recommended to regularly wash the space between the anus and the vagina with an infusion of garlic. To do this, crushed garlic clove should be poured with 1 liter of boiling water and let it brew for an hour. Rinse the genitals with this solution after each visit to the toilet.

You can also use a decoction of thyme or rosemary with the addition of garlic. Preparing it is very simple, just take a handful of dried herbs per 1 liter of water, boil, add 2 crushed garlic cloves and let it brew for an hour. Strain and apply for external washing of the genital organs and for douching. Then dry everything with toilet paper or a towel.

The infusion should be prepared every day, and there is a lot of fuss with it. For those who save their time, we suggest using an alcohol tincture made from chestnut peel garlic, myrrh and calendula. You can use ready-made tinctures of these plants purchased at a pharmacy, then all these tinctures should be mixed in equal proportions. If you decide to make the tincture yourself, then you will need 1 head of garlic, 50 g of thorny chestnut peel, 50 g of dried calendula flowers and 50 g of myrrh. Garlic needs to be peeled and crushed. Then it and herbs pour 1.5 liters of pure medical alcohol. Insist for 3 weeks, and shake every day.

For washing, take 1 tbsp. l. tincture in a glass of warm water. These treatments are very effective in treating various fungal vaginal infections.

Do not insert garlic into your vagina for more than 12 hours. It will cause irritation. However, if you suddenly "lost" the garlic there, you should not worry too much, most likely, the clove of garlic just quietly fell out during the next visit to the toilet.

Also, at the slightest suspicion of an infection or just for prevention, it is useful to wash from time to time with the following composition: chop 3 cloves of garlic in a mixer until a mushy state, mix with 3-4 tbsp. warm water and with this water rinse the external genitalia and douche. This mixture works wonders because when garlic is crushed, allicin is released, which is the strongest antibiotic that can kill germs.

The following remedy is also useful for douching. Grind 3 cloves of garlic, add one and a half liters of warm water, stir, let it brew for 5-10 minutes and strain. Add 2 tbsp. l. apple cider vinegar.

If you carefully read the information that is presented on our website in the sections describing infections, then you probably noticed the following. None of the infections can clear up on their own and none of the diseases can be cured without a course of medications, and antibiotics are often used. Infections of the genitourinary sphere "feel very well" in the human body, in addition, they can be transformed - which is why getting rid of them is often a rather lengthy process that requires the patient to comply with the regimen and strictly follow medical recommendations. There can be no talk of any self-treatment, as well as “treatment” with herbs, decoctions and other folk remedies. However, various "women's" sites, publications on alternative and traditional medicine are full of information that antibiotics cause irreparable harm to the body, and, therefore, their use should be avoided at all costs. And for the treatment of infections of the genital area, you can successfully use folk remedies that have been tested for centuries.

For example, literally within a few seconds of searching on the Internet, we found this recipe for the treatment of trichomoniasis.

Take 3 parts of poplar and birch buds, 2 parts of hop cones, 1 part of burnet roots and 3 parts of egg-pod roots. Pour two tablespoons of the resulting mixture with two glasses of cold water, boil for 15 minutes. Strain and take half inside, and douche with the other half.

Let's try to analyze this recipe from the point of view of common sense. Let's see what effect the plants used in this recipe have:

  • poplar buds - anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and sedative effect;
  • birch buds - diuretic, choleretic, diaphoretic, wound healing and antitumor effect;
  • hop cones - diuretic, sedative, cardiotonic and anti-inflammatory action;
  • burnet roots - astringent, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory and bactericidal action;
  • capsule roots - astringent, bactericidal, analgesic, choleretic, diuretic, mild hypnotic, sedative effect.

A reasonable question arises: how can this combination of drugs cope with Trichomonas? True, the most diverse and, to some extent, even outlandish properties are attributed to hop cones in folk medicine. They are recommended to use to prolong sexual intercourse, reduce excitability, breast enlargement. They are said to help with hypertension, insomnia, liver, kidney and bladder diseases. The cones contain the substance lupulin, which is sometimes called a natural antibiotic. But whether it helps with trichomoniasis is unknown to science. In any case, there is no serious evidence for this.

Another "interesting" recipe for a remedy for trichomoniasis and candidiasis is to use onions and garlic. A gruel is made from them, it is applied to a cotton-gauze swab, which is recommended to be worn in the vagina for 8-10 hours. It is possible that such a method of treatment to some extent will help fight infections. But the fact that it is impossible to completely recover with the help of such tampons is a fact. In addition, imagine the smell that will inevitably haunt a woman with such a tampon. And add here the not-so-pleasant sensations that will definitely arise when onions and garlic are exposed to the vaginal mucosa ...

In fairness, it should be noted that official medicine does not reject totally folk recipes. It is quite acceptable to use folk remedies in combination with drug therapy. For example, with trichomoniasis, it is useful to drink decoctions of eucalyptus, chamomile, calendula, yarrow. Tampons can be made from a mixture of eucalyptus, yarrow and tansy flowers.

A lot of folk recipes can be found regarding the treatment of candidiasis (or thrush). Basically, they propose to prepare a decoction for douching or tampons. Such folk remedies can be used in the course of treatment of candidiasis, but certainly in combination with drugs and after consulting a doctor. You can use infusions of birch buds, celandine, juniper, pharmacy chamomile, oak bark, St. John's wort. Please note: to prepare a decoction, you will need boiling water or hot water of about 80-90 degrees. But you can douche only with a warm broth, in no case hot!

As for infections such as chlamydia or the herpes virus, it is impossible to cure them with folk remedies - but you can eliminate the visible symptoms of the disease and thereby complicate the diagnosis. You can find recipes that recommend the use of Elsgoltia herb or femur, which supposedly have the ability to kill chlamydia. Such statements are not true.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize once again: infections of the urogenital area are diagnosed only by specialists. And the course of treatment should be prescribed only by specialists. Do not self-medicate and do not rely on folk remedies. At best, they only contribute to recovery, but in no way can they be a panacea. Take care of your health - do not experiment with it.

One way or another, the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases should be prescribed only by a specialized doctor and only after examining and receiving the results of the patient. Improper treatment of STIs can lead to serious complications, including infertility in patients of both genders.

How to treat an STD

As a rule, STIs respond well to treatment, and therefore the question of how to treat sexual infections is not acute. In most cases, the answer to treating STDs caused by bacteria is to take the following antibiotics:

  • with - penicillin;
  • with - ceftriaxone or ofloxacin;
  • with - tetracycline;
  • with tetracycline or gentamicin.

The answer to the question of how to treat sexually transmitted diseases of a viral nature are the following drugs:

  • with - acyclovir, famciclovir, valaciclovir;
  • with - timazid, retrovir, viramun, videks, viracept.

In urogenital, antifungal creams, ointments, vaginal tablets and balls are used, drugs are used - clotrimazole, isoconazole, miconazole. In the presence or scabies, the question of how to treat sexually transmitted diseases of this kind should also be decided by the doctor. As a rule, drugs with permethrin are prescribed for pediculosis, and an aqueous emulsion of benzyl benzoate is prescribed for scabies.

Treatment of STDs with folk remedies

As a rule, the treatment of STDs with folk remedies is justified only in the case of uncomplicated treatment. This is done in the following way. 1 tablespoon of calendula flowers is taken, poured with 400 milliliters of boiling water and infused for half an hour. The resulting infusion is used for douching.

Any other treatment of genital infections with folk remedies is inappropriate, it can only be used as an additional therapy for drug treatment.

Venereal diseases- this is an obsolete term, at the moment, a group h diseases ( and infections) P transmitted P tin P it is more often found under the abbreviation - STD or STI, by the initial letters of how these diseases are transmitted.
Within the category of STDs or sexually transmitted diseases, there are subcategories separating this group of diseases.
So to classic venereal disease(that is, those that have been known for more than one century) include diseases such as:

  1. Syphilis.
  2. Gonorrhea.
  3. Chancroid.
  4. Venereal lymphogranulomatosis.
  5. Donovanose.

The last three diseases (chancroid, venereal lymphogranulomatosis, donovanosis), more common in countries with tropical and subtropical climates, are not widespread in the European continent. But given the fact that more and more tourists are seeking to visit warm tropical countries, the number of registered diseases in Russia has increased.
According to this, a modern person, it will not be superfluous to know the main signs that indicate a particular disease.

Since there are classic venereal diseases, then, accordingly, there are new sexually transmitted diseases. Although the point is not that they began to be registered relatively recently, the point is that only some time ago the causative agent of these diseases was discovered. While the diseases themselves have existed for a long time, it was not possible to make an accurate diagnosis without knowing the pathogen.
These new sexually transmitted diseases include:

  1. Chlamydia.
  2. Mycoplasmosis.
  3. Ureaplasmosis.
  4. Bacterial urethritis.
  5. Trichomoniasis
  6. Candidiasis.
  7. Gardnerellosis.
  8. Genital herpes.
  9. Human papillomavirus infection.
  10. HIV infection.

Also, at present, there are a number of intestinal diseases that can be sexually transmitted, as well as skin sexually transmitted diseases (pubic lice, scabies).

Every civilized person should know as much as possible about all venereal diseases, since in our time the judgment is erroneous that only the lower strata of the population suffer from venereal diseases, and the so-called risk group (drug addicts, prostitutes, alcoholics, etc.) . Given the huge migration of the population around the world, for many diseases there is practically no territorial barrier. In addition, many venereal diseases, from the moment of infection, do not manifest themselves for some time, which leads to a large coverage of infected people.

Now, we will briefly describe in order the most common sexually transmitted diseases and how they can be dealt with.
Syphilis- a chronic severe disease. Accompanied in the initial stage by the formation of a hard chancre in the primary focus of infection, and in a further disruption of the work of various internal organs.

Get infected with syphilis it is possible not only sexually, intrauterine infection of the fetus is also possible, since the causative agent of syphilis, pale treponema, is able to penetrate the placental barrier and cause disease in the fetus at various stages of development.
Also, a household way of infection is possible. This happens upon contact with a sick person who has syphilis in the second or third stage of development. In these stages, pale treponema can be excreted with saliva, semen, pus, and other secrets and excretions of the patient.
Not often, but still, it occurs - infection of medical staff in the treatment of people with syphilis.

Pathogenesis in this disease, it consists of the fact that, having penetrated through damaged skin or mucous membranes, at the site of its introduction, pale treponema begins to actively multiply, forming the stage of hard chancre, after about a month, after penetration, treponema enters the bloodstream and spreads to all organs and tissue, which determines the secondary stage of the course of the disease, which is expressed in the formation of pustules. The third - the most difficult stage - is destructive changes in the parenchymal organs and the nervous system. The fourth is the outcome, recovery or transition to a chronic, sluggish stage.
signs I correspond to each of its stages. The incubation period from the moment of infection to the appearance of the first clinical signs and the beginning of the release of the pathogen into the external environment lasts an average of about a month.

Treatment patients should be carried out in a hospital, in the dermatovenerological department, if the disease is in the third stage, then the patient is allowed to be treated in that department from the side of which organ found major complications.
For treatment, antibiotics of the penicillin group are used, as well as bismuth preparations (biyoquinol, bismoverol) and symptomatic agents.

Gonorrhea- a venereal disease caused by gonococcus is characterized by a predominant lesion of the mucous membrane of the genitourinary organs, it is also possible to damage the conjunctiva, in advanced cases - the joints and other organs.
Infection most often (98% of cases) occurs sexually.
Symptoms slightly different in their manifestation of both men and women.
In men, from the first days of infection, purulent discharge from the penis is noted, it was for this symptom in ancient times that this disease was named, that women also had gonorrhea found out much later. With gonorrhea, there may be a problem with erection, just as very often, the patient experiences pain during urination.

Among women, gonorrhea is asymptomatic for a long time, and many women only accidentally, during examination by a gynecologist, learn about their disease. So, if there is pain during urination, the release of a significant amount of whiteness, an unpleasant odor and a greenish color, this should serve as a signal that you need to undergo an examination. Since this disease is at an early stage, both men and women respond very well to treatment.
If left untreated, the disease will move into the third stage of its development, as a complication - both sexes may develop infertility, men may develop prostatitis based on gonorrhea, and women may experience ectopic pregnancy.

For a complete cure, a two-week course of antibiotic therapy is sufficient, benzylpenicillin sodium salt has the best medicinal effect.

Chancroid- an acute venereal disease, accompanied by the formation of painful, not very large ulcers on the genitals.
In our country, the disease is rarely recorded, most often it is observed in tourists who have had contact with local residents of Asian and African countries.
Symptoms, in men appear on the 2-3rd day after infection, in the form of small painful blisters, which subsequently open up and hard-to-heal painful sores form in their place. Localization of ulcers - genitals, inner thigh, buttocks.
Among women the disease proceeds in exactly the same way, the only difference is that the sores appear a couple of weeks after infection.
Treatment with this disease, it must be carried out in the hospital department. A good therapeutic effect is observed when using drugs of the sulfonamide group (sulfadimezin, sulfacid).

Granuloma venereal or Donovanosis, named after the scientist who discovered the causative agent of this disease. Donovanosis is a sexually transmitted, chronic disease. Characterized by the formation of specific small nodules on the genitals, in the form of a small millet grain.
The disease is transmitted most often sexually. In our country, it is registered in the same cases as the two diseases described above.
Symptoms diseases begin to appear a couple of months after infection and slowly increase, subsequently the nodules burst and can merge to form large lesions. If the disease is not treated, tissue scarring may occur with complete fusion of the urethral outlet, the urethra.
It is believed that this disease is not contagious, if your regular sexual partner has Donovanosis, then the likelihood that you can become infected with it is from 1 to 50%.
Donovanosis responds well to treatment, for this purpose, broad-spectrum antibiotics and drugs of the sulfonamide group are used.

Prevention of venereal diseases

Prevention for all venereal diseases, should be reduced to the following:
1. Do not have sexual contact with casual acquaintances.
2. If all the same it happened, be sure to use a condom.
3. If sex was unprotected, douching the vagina with a solution of potassium permanganate.
4. Follow the rules of personal hygiene (do not use other people's towels, etc.)
If you have signs of any of the listed diseases, do not self-medicate, but immediately consult a doctor.
For any sexually transmitted disease, treatment should be carried out by a specialist, but it is possible to delay the development of the disease and strengthen the protective functions of the body with the help of prescriptions traditional medicine.
